  1. You're almost there. We need the folder that SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT produces, not just the .vpj file. It contains all the project files. If there are many you can zip the folder first, then upload the zip file.
  2. Use the right-click menu on the image to be inserted. Choose PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT START. Or place the scrubber (red line) on the boundary between cuts and right-click|PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. Lock the audio track if you don't want it disturbed.
  3. So it seems. Share the PROJECT, not the export result, and folks will check out why the text has been chopped. Just follow the instructions at the "Tips" link above.
  4. Video editing/exporting is resource intensive, as Nat notes. If you are willing, folks might like to compare export times for your 37" project. Please upload the project to a free server, such as MS OneDrive. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Share the file publicly and paste in the link here or in a personal message to me.
  5. Glad it worked out for you. The ISOs were made with VP. The DVD was burned by another program. Can't say if FF enabling is a function of either?? Nothing that address this is available in VP export AFAIK. You might put the query to the Express Burn forum.
  6. In the export box "auto-match" is just a suggestion. In the PRESET and RESOLUTION fields choose your resolution of choice from the many options. There are also many encoder options.
  7. Yes, there was an issue with the original not starting from the beginning for reasons unknown but corrected in the pt. 2 iso. Burn your ISO to a DVD disk, not a CD. If prompted to burn as a MOVIE or data, choose MOVIE. As for combining two ISOs... an ISO is a disc image. You can't burn several of them onto 1 disc. There may be workarounds to accomplish this but they are beyond my level of expertise. You may have to settle for two disks. If you want to again play with burning via Videopad I'd suggest installing version 7.01 which is available here. Retain your original install file. Scroll down to the Videopad versions. This succeeded here, and the ISO created a nice DVD movie disk that should be good on the PC or a standalone DVD player. Another usage of a DVD disk is simply storage. You might create an mp4 with VP, then burn the result to a DVD as data. This creates an ISO that contains the mp4, which can be played with Windows Media Player or the like. An mp4 probably won't be playable on a standalone DVD player. And a CD's capacity may be too limited to hold all the data. In line with that, here, for a short time, here is the mp4 with initial scene intact. So, lots of options. Your best bet might be to load mp4 clips one and two into VP, then burn them to a DVD data disk. If need be, the mp4 parts can be extracted from the respective iso files. Windows 10 should do this automatically with a double-click on the iso, which opens a virtual DVD drive that can be accessed via the Windows Explorer file manager. The mp4 will show up in that drive.
  8. Please upload the project to a free server, such as MS OneDrive, share it and paste the shared link here, so someone can attempt to duplicate your result. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Specifically, where do you see the "resize video" option.
  9. There indeed was a hang at 72% when exported to a DVD Movie iso, and the issue has been reported. With your first scene restored, found a workaround that should do the job.
  10. No export issue here, using v7.11; took less than a minute. Video editing is resource intensive. Perhaps there wasn't enough free space on the drive, or other systemic limitation. There were font problems - duplication was removed and readability improved head and end. Though lip sync occasionally seems not to be dead on, it's about as good as it's going to be. Looks like a great time was had by all.😊 For a short time, the completed export is here. Click the download button.
  11. It's not necessary to first create an image file. But that is a good way to check the integrity of the export. Or use a rewritable DVD. It's slow, but avoids making coasters. There's no length limitation. To sleuth the export hang please upload part two of your project and share the link here or privately to me via a personal message. Here's how...http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  12. If the object is to go from B/W to color for a specific portion of the image here's an approach... Place two side-by-side identical images on track one. Click FX on the the first and apply the B/W effect. Click FX on the second and draw a Polygon Mask around the area to be colored (the mask is the second button from the left on the effects toolbar). Add the B/W effect to this clip. The result will have color only in the masked area, as shown below. (Confirm that the "mask inside" box is unchecked.) When the scrubber (red line) is moved between the two clips they should change suddenly from B/W to the masked clip. Program a Cross Fade transition between the two clips and the face will colorize.
  13. Which effect, specifically? In what manner is it being applied? What VP version is being used?
  14. You can set any resolution you like, using the PRESET or RESOLUTION fields in the export box. Those that offer "widescreen" provide two choices: letterbox or crop and zoom. Here, a project sourced with a 4:3 and a 16:9 video was exported in both modes at 167x130. Aspect ratios looked fine. The 16:9 image is shown letterboxed on the left. It's cropped/zoomed on the right, at the loss of some content - which may what you want. Of course, an image/video can be manipulated via SCALE and other effects prior to export, to achieve the desired result.
  15. Proxy editing can work well, especially on under-powered systems. See http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26563-proxy-editing/ The FX button appears at the bottom-left of each timeline clip. If they don't appear, expand the timeline with the slider near the bottom-right side of the VP window. Or click EFFECTS on the menu bar. Or click the hamburger menu (top-left corner) if your VP version has it and select the desired effect class from the drop-down menu. To enable dual preview windows, right-click in the preview window. Click on Change Preview Settings. Check the Show Dual Previews box. Try the latest version, but retain your original installer file in case it doesn't work or you don't like it.
  16. If Nat's suggestions do not work for you, please share a project that exhibits this behavior and someone will check it out. Here's how...http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Alternatively, upload and share some files that, when added to the timeline, hang VP. What are the sizes and resolutions of these files? If this is sensitive material you can send the shared link via a personal message to me or Nat.
  17. On any AUDIO clip click the FX button, to open the effects editor. Click the green + sign on the toolbar and choose AMPLIFY. Click in the preset field and choose FADE IN and OUT. Drag the blue line to create a plot similar to what is seen below. Each time the line is dragged it creates another keyframe (dot). To delete a keyframe, right-click on it. Once you are satisfied, click the button just to the right of the green + on the toolbar: SAVE AS EFFECT CHAIN TEMPLATE. Name it. That template will appear at the bottom of the audio effects window. It is a custom audio template. To apply the effect to a single clip, open the audio effects window and click on that template. To apply it to multiple clips, select (highlight) the desired clips, then click AUDIO EFFECTS on the VP toolbar and choose the FADE IN and OUT template. You will be prompted to apply to all selected clips or just one.
  18. Tracey will be a happy girl. There were scroll-direction issues with recent VP versions, so if you weren't using the latest then that could have contributed. Next time, follow Nat's suggestions on project layout and you should be fine; it gets easier...😉
  19. You likely did nothing wrong. Suspect the problem occurred when converting the tape to digital. To aid the developers, please explain how was that done? Glad it worked out!
  20. Upgrade to the latest. If you don't purchase and register, some features will be disabled after the trial period. Many improvements have been implemented since that series and, hopefully, they will remedy the issue. Always save your project and installer file. It is possible that a project made with 5.x will not render properly in the 7.x series. You may have to reconstruct it.
  21. Glad it's working for you. Check out the tutorials http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23872-videopad-tutorials/ And the HELP files, by clicking the ? in the top-right corner of the Videopad window.
  22. Checked out your new version. No improvement. Seeing how media players handle the original VOB files, my guess is that the fault lies with the download from the source. Be that as it may, you can use VOB files that have been converted to mp4 files, which Videopad appears to play in full and in sync.
  23. For a rotation tip, see the reply to your other post. To position the FX (effects) box drag its top border. It can be placed anywhere on the screen - right/left/up/down.
  24. An easy way to rotate a clip is to right-click on it in the Media Bin (top-left) and click ROTATE. Then an orientation choice will appear. Choose the one you want. You can trim the clip in the bin: Drag the scubber (red line) to the start point and click the SET START button. Drag it to the end point and click SET END. Then click the ADD button under the preview window to drop the trimmed clip onto the timeline, where it can be trimmed/edited further. The full-length original clip will remain in the bin. Or, right-click the clip and PLACE CLIP ON SEQUENCE. Another way: simply drag the clip to the sequence.
  25. In lieu of using direct upload from VP, did you create a video file with the above settings and then use YouTube's uploader, as suggested earlier? Viewed my video export made with the above settings in Windows Media Player, the MPC-HC, Google Drive and the MS OneDrive players. Looked correct in all. Your https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GwEF01oYWS0OVd0JYExviX5v5SS47WZF/view?usp=sharing does not and I am at a loss to say why some users are experiencing this. Test with the latest version.
