  1. What Videopad version is being used? What are your export settings? Please download and install this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the problem persists come back here.
  2. Did you truly mean 'Photostage?' Post to that group, please. http://nch.invisionzone.com/forum/60-photostage/ If it's Videopad that has the issue, download and install this version. Ignore any virus warnings. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  3. Download and install this version and see if SHAKE performs better. Developers are looking into the issue. Retain your old registration info, if any.
  4. Apply the Letterbox effect to the clip and see if that doesn't solve the issue.
  5. Bear in mind that video clips are usually linked to their audio, so if either track is moved the other will be as well - to remain in sync. To insert a new clip, make a split. Do this for all tracks by clicking the scissors or the SPLIT button. To restrict the split to specific tracks click the chevron to the right of the SPLIT button.. Select (highlight) all clips to the right of the split, then drag them to the right, leaving a gap. If they snap back hold down <alt> while dragging. Right-click the desired insert clip in the bin and PLACE CLIP ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. Or simply drag it to the left-margin of the gap. Arrows will appear. If you make a mistake immediately press <ctrl-Z> (EDIT | UNDO) to backtrack, step-by-step. Save Project File AS frequently, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you're protected and can double-click a VPJ saved file (which is not playable) to reload the project as it was when saved. Don't delete or move source files. Record_2020_08_19_11_09_42_899.mp4
  6. The 'free' version is a trial. You are not required to update/pay, but there will be limitations, such as export formats. Try AVI - it usually succeeds. If it was licensed before, reinstall your earlier version and re-register if necessary. Use it fully as long as you like. Updates (no obligation) are free for six-months after registering. And you can always test drive the latest, unlicensed, to see if new features appeal to you.
  7. Until the TS sync issue is addressed, converting the file first should take care of that. It appeared to here. But if v7.10 does the job, stick with it. There's no obligation to update, and you can always test-drive the latest for free.
  8. Needs to be in sequence mode to see the 'match' choices... Please submit a short segment of your project where the issue is shown. Save first, of course, then delete all but that segment and follow the instructions above to upload and share.
  9. Reach your own conclusions on the following where beta v8.73 was used. Even if the release # is the same, the beta build on the server varies from day-to-day. First, MediaInfo lists the :20 end video and patrons as 20.515 and 20.428 respectively. VP loads them as 20.481 and 20.350. Next, the source game file was overlaid on track 3 and head-synched to your track 1. No UNlinking. At the end, PV video was dead on but audio was way out. That may be attributable to the TS format, and has been reported. First converting the file to mp4 appears to fix the slippage issue. But for the slight offset you noted, it's in sync throughout. Finally, your VPJ as submitted and exported with your settings stayed synched IMO.
  10. Record or link a sample of what you mean by 'bouncing.' If a file, upload it to a free server, get a public (shareable) link that anyone can view and past that link here.
  11. Recently, AVI sync issues were solved. With the current beta, speed change sync issues have also been remedied. That's not to say that this addresses your specifics. https://www.nchsoftware.com/beta/vpsetup.exe (Subject to frequent revisions) Let's take a look at your project folder, per the usual easy 4-steps... 1. With your completed project on the timeline, click the 3-lined 'hamburger' menu, top-left. Click FILE | BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Specify a folder. Click SELECT FOLDER. 2. Using the PC file manager, locate the saved folder and upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* (Don't upload the export or just the VPJ file.) 3. Get a shared, public link and, if given a choice, check "ANYone can view." 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder, above top-right in this forum, and message it to me. This is private and won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  12. As Nat noted, a reload of a VPJ file will restore a project just as it was when saved. Yet it's conceivable that the viewing mode changed. MATCH CONTENT does what it says. MATCH MONITOR displays content at your monitor's resolution. Adding an aspect Letterbox effect can sometimes remedy these mixed-res issues. Please share your project for analysis. It's easy, quick and can be private. Someone here will take a look and come up with an answer. Upload just the project folder. Follow these steps...
  13. In tests here, SHAKE may function at other than the default settings, but juggling of the parameters is required. It's not functioning dependably.
  14. Specifically, what 'kind' of transitions do you need?
  15. Yes, the 'trial' version has limitations, especially after the trial period expires, and green screen appears to be one of them. So you are using SHAKE as the only effect on a clip? Glad it's working for you in version 8.63.
  16. SHAKE combined with OLD FILM (with all its options checked) does seem to be a bit erratic. At times a minimal shake appears only during a portion of the clip, at others not at all. If this is your issue, tinker with the SHAKE settings.
  17. If they are related they will shift. Linked A/V clips, especially. Lock the tracks where movement is unwanted by right-clicking at the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. Or place the clip to be moved on another track, keeping in mind that higher numbered tracks take precedence over lower tracks.
  18. For the CROP effect there are handles at the corners and sides of a box. For SCALE there are three handles: height, width, and height and width where <shift> can be held down to scale freeform. Very versatile and responsive. For MOTION, there's a scale and a rotation handle and the box itself can be dragged. Or just use the sliders in the EFFECTS box if that's more convenient. 19. What 'dial?' Post a link to a screenshot. Upload the image to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. Copy (share) the URL and paste it into your post here.
  20. Good deal. Clicking SAVE (as effect template) writes the item to the effects box. There's no need for 'temp.' Yes, the big green + sign opens the effects choices. Here, VP effects application is quick. Play the real-time demo below. Video editing is resource intensive, so how it performs is affected by hardware. Under OPTIONS | EDITING tab, toggle the "use hardware acceleration' item and see if that improves response. Sequence 1.mp4
  21. Ask here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/forum/254-videopad-–-software-editor-di-video/ And file a report here... https://tinyurl.com/r89tpcw Ran a right-to-left test of simple text with about 150 characters and all scrolled as programmed... Record_2020_08_17_09_13_22_7.mp4
  22. Overlay your new photo. Now open its EFFECTS box and scroll down to the new item that you saved, as instructed above. Apply it to the new photo. The effects that you saved will be applied to the new photo overlay. "And what with that disk? Only save? how do you load things? Not following you here; explain more fully.
  23. When you have programmed an effect, click the 'folder' icon on the toolbar. Give the effect a name and save it. It will appear as a new entry at the bottom of the effects choices.
  24. Which free version? Look at the start-up screen or at the left-bottom of the VP window. Your project is intact, as long as you have saved it. Save Project File AS routinely, and give it a unique # or name. That will avoid overwriting prior saves. Double-click the VPJ file (not playable) to restore the project to the time when the file was saved. Download and install this release. Ignore any virus warnings. Did that fix it?
