  1. Effects like scrolling can slow export but the timing you mention does seem excessive. Things you can do to speed it up... Export at a lower resolution and, possibly, lower frame rate. Use the current release 64-bit version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Upgrade the PC to at least 8GB ram and an I5-class or comparable processor. Video editing is very resource intensive. Folks here would like to compare your results. Share your project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. You have tacked on to a very old thread. Best to start anew with a descriptive subject. Preview speed can be adjusted with this control... Click the chevron - far right on the play bar.
  3. Haven't spotted a way to do that. But, if audio is complete and will require no futher tweaks, click the Sequenes tab in the bin (top-left), then right-click the sequence thumbnail and Save Sequence Audio As New File. Unlink all video tracks from their audio with a right-click on either. Delete the audio tracks and replace them with the file you just created. Now all audio can be killed by muting that single track. Of course, it's a composite, so individual tracks will no longer be available. An alternative would be to unlink A/V, then select and copy ALL video files to a blank Sequence 2. Then drop the new composite audio file onto the audio track ... and work from sequence 2. But now we're getting into complexities.^_^ Before doing this, be sure to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  4. Text that is composited onto an image or background cannot be independently scrolled. But with a little practice you can easily accomplish what it seems you want, using the ADD (simple) TEXT feature. First, place the image that's to be the background on video track one. Position the scrubber (red-lined cursor) where you want the text to begin. Compose the text... In most cases it will be automatically placed on track two, but it can be dragged from the BIN (top-left) ... and dragged left or right on the timeline. Drag the clip borders (handles) to change the text clip length, which will change the scrolling speed. text.mp4
  5. Yes, 10.26. My error. 2144x1080 is an odd resolution. In the future you might investigate whether the sessions can be recorded at lower res for your download. Lower load, better editing response, shorter export time. You apparently got what they offered, at the resolution provided. No Videopad import settings will change that though file converters like Prism are useful. The project likely won't have to be broken up. Good luck!
  6. Thanks for sharing. Ran your project in both the 32- and 64-bit VP 10.26 releases. No 'hanging' - even after rewording some captions. When first loading, let it fully cache. This can take some time. When done there will be green bar atop each video thumbnail. Eventually, the blue timline ribbon under the preview window will change color. Video editing is very resource intensive. The issues that you are experiencing hint at a resource problem, even though your PC seems capable of handling a non-complex VP project. That said, this one is HD, nearly two hours in length and has many captions. See my PM for a link to a lower resolution revised project. Quality loss will be negligable, considering the source. That, and installing the newly released 64-bit 10.26 should improve things considerably.
  7. Deleting a segment, then joining the pieces is basic stuff, and there should be no 'click.' With the project on the timeline, click and all, please share it. Someone will look into the issue... The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 8. Appears to be intermittent, and has been reported. Suggest you do the same by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the Videopad window. This version doesn't have the frame button/arrow issue.
  9. Unlikely, but one never knows. A similarly named file - apparently recorded with the W10 Camera App - had a sync issue. The frame rate shown on your downloaded file is 29.60. But this may be irrelevant. Fixed in 10.34.
  10. The original has an odd framerate and when moused-over in Windows a prompt reads: "Error, decoder appears to be frozen. Corrupt audio file?" That has been seen before on rare occasions. We'll have to wait and see what is discovered.
  11. Verified and reported. While it's being fixed, work with this release. Ignore any virus warnings. You may find that it's unlicensed, but AVI export usually succeeds. Total compatibility with your purchaed version isn't guaranteed though that's usually not an issue. In any case, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected. Please leave your PM link live for a week or so, if possible, so the developers can access it. Thanks.
  12. You tacked onto a three-year old thread, so a new one was begun. This is a user forum; folks just like you helping others. Peer support. There have been sporadic sync problems, caused by several different issues. Some were due to the files themselves.. Sharing your file, with specifics on what it is doing, can help track this down. If it's verified as a VP bug it will be fixed. Simply upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Good luck!
  13. Don't think that's the case. Strikes me that It needs the narration to judge where to fade.
  14. Right-click on the background audio track and enable it... To make adjustments, go to OPTIONS | AUDIO tab and adjust as desired. Takes a little patience, but once set it works well.
  15. Yes, when a release is downloaded, simply double-click on it to install. No need to uninstall the existing version.
  16. See if this helps... https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html Most all versions are available here.
  17. The 32-bit incarnations run fine on 64-bit PCs, but with a project of that length the new 64-bit architecture would be preferable. What you report is definitely not normal and could be a PC-specific issue. How much free space is available on the C:\ drive, which is where the cache files are written unless you have changed the path via OPTIONS | DISK tab. Is this a conventional drive or an SSD? Try this release. Latest versions do not necessarily offer more functionality. Many releases are small tweaks, perhaps adding a new effect, reordering a menu or fixing a bug. Waiting to update may be wise, if all is working well. The latest can be tested when you're not under the gun. Your registration should be good through at least May. Licensed versions within that timeframe don't expire. Go here for most any release. Judging by your date of purchase, you likely got this 32-bit version. If possible, we'd like to see the project. 18. Odd. The link is good, and when clicked immediately brings up the SAVE box.
  19. Please try this version and report back whether it solves the issue. What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU/RAM?
  20. Your PC should have no problem with Videopad. There are both 32- and 64-bit versions, offered randomly on the main server. Mousing over the download link should reveal which is up at the moment. If it doesn't say "64" it's the 32. The 64 is recommended for very high-def, complex and lengthy projects. If a release is doing the job for you there's no urgency to update. Give it time to see if there are quirks. There's a six-month grace period after purchase for free updates. But newer versions can always be test driven, though some features may be limited. Retain your purchased installer and registration. After recent releases significantly improved speed and file handling, one of those 'quirks' involving AMD hardware was discovered. Though it surfaced mainly on export it is possible that your issue is related. Try this beta version and report back whether it works better for you. Also, click OPTIONS | Clear Unused Cache files before beginning a project. You can do this at anytime during editing as well, to eliminate excess, unneeded cache files that may have built up. Be sure to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  21. Sometimes it isn't obvious why clips shift and a different approach has to be taken. Without seeing the project can't say for certain what's happening there. Perhaps related clips are either grouped or linked and move to maintain sync?? If track 2 is otherwise clear, move audio on 4 to track 3. Then right-click to the left of track 2 and delete it. Tracks can be renamed there as well. Share the project and cite specifics and someone will check it out.
  22. There's a six-month grace period after purchase when updates are free. The 6.x series is very dated. Newer versions can always be test driven, unlicensed. 6.29 is available here. It's safe; ignore any virus warning.
  23. This forum is peer support - users just like you helping others. Your frustration is understandable. The software is tested. Yet, with infinite permutations of PC hardware and software configurations, what are the chances that a program will work flawlessly for every user? Zilch! In this case, when VP architecture was recently improved - for more efficient, faster en/decoding - it wasn't initially apparent that there was an issue with AMD chips. As soon as users discovered it the developers set out immediately to make a fix. There's a six-month grace period after purchase for free updates. But if a release works well for you there's never a mandate. A newer version can always be test driven, registered or not. If it was released within the grace period, it should be automatically registered. This site has all downloadable versions. The beta is version 10.26 as of this writing, but betas are frequently updated, even when they show the same version #. As soon as it is deemed stable a new release version with the latest fixes will be available on the WEBsite. After downloading, right-click the installer file and click PROPERTIES | DETAILS tab. The version will be listed.
  24. Install this version. That should do the job. If it doesn't please report here. A conflict with AMD hardware is known, and being addressed. Here's a beta version you might try if the above doesn't solve the issue.
  25. Here both clip and sequence positions are correctly located and displayed. Taking a snap of either finds the wrong frame. The original mp4 framerate is 23.976. When the file is re-encoded to 30fps (AVI), VP correctly identifies the frame that is shown in PV.
