  1. Well, sometimes old problems can reoccur 😉 . So I highly recommend downloading the newest version (if you just purchased Videopad, it's free for you anyway), because v13.09 had an issue with the cache, which might be the reason for your problem. After updating, also try this: 1. Clear the cache: see screenshot 2. Go to the options -> Media -> Uncheck all "Automaticall normalize..." checkboxes. After that: Close & restart videopad and reload your project. Is there a difference?
  3. I was using beta 13.39 and everything works as expected, preview and export are correct. Maybe it's a cache problem? Try closing your project and deleting the cache: (see screenshot)
  4. The license for Videopad is a one-time fee (or a monthly fee), that's correct. However, the license is valid only for the version you purchased and for all versions up to 6 months after the purchase (see here: https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/versions.html ). PS: Old versions are available here.
  5. A new license is valid for all videopad versions up to half a year after the purchase. Maybe the NCH server was down for a moment? I just tested https://www.nch.com.au/upgrade/ , this link worked.
  6. Looks like the "GPU video processor" problem. Select "None (CPU only)" for exporting the video: see screenshot . This is slower, but reliable. After export you can switch back to your graphics card (faster for editing the video).
  7. Unload your project (restart videopad without loading your project) and try clearing the cache: see screenshot This usually helps. PS: I also recommend to use the newest version (you have 13.28), current version is 13.35: Download newest version . Some old 13.x versions had an issue with the cache.
  8. Another suggestion: How about adding a "miscellaneous settings" tab to the options? Here you could add things like "looping enabled" or "turn off split bar" (see screenshot, I always click this thing accidently) and a lot of other things, maybe settings you use to store in the "SVar" registry. I also would like to have a special feature for the GPU video processor settings: "CPU only for rendering, graphic card for building preview". Reason: My (old) graphic cards don't really work for exporting the video (flickering etc.), so I have to switch to "CPY only" for that. That means I always have to switch it back to a graphic card when editing the video, because CPU only is too slow for that.
  9. Yes, I think that would help 🙂👍 .
  10. I don't think that is, what Vacublaster had in mind. If the cursor is at the end of the timeline and you (accidently) press the space bar (which happens often to me), Videopad should simply do nothing. Right now, the cursor jumps back to the beginning of the timeline and the preview starts playing. So to continue editing, you have to stop the video and scroll back to the end of the timeline.
  11. 😄 I know exactly, what you mean 😄. Good suggestion!
  12. I guess, there are still a lot of 32 bit computers out there... however, you can always download the current 64 bit version here: https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/videopadsetup64.exe
  13. That's possible - just set the output format to the desired aspect ratio: [see screenshot] (here it is 16:9 and clicking on the orange rectangle changes to 9:16)
  14. So you probably mean the height, if there are several audio tracks (red lines show the difference): screenshot I guess that is hardcoded and can't be changed...
  15. You can change the sizes of the video and audio tracks by dragging two little control icons, see this screenshot . I hope this is, what you was looking for.
  16. There are several video effects to do that, "Rotate", "Rotation" or "Motion". Choose the one you like most: [see screenshot1] (I suggest "Rotate" in this case). Don't forget to set the output video format to portrait after that: [see screenshot2]
  17. Confirmed... I just tested (beta) versions 13.28 - 13.30, the super resolution checkbox is gone.
  18. 1. Some years ago I used Sony MTS files with videopad, it worked, but I don't remember the quality. As far as I know, it worked well. Maybe @borate can tell you more (I'm sure he can 😉 ). 2. Unfortunately that's a bug in this version. Try using another version, until the bug is fixed. Here you can download all versions (you license should work for all of them): http://oldversiondownload.com/ The bug doesn't seem to occur if you have turned on audio normalization (options -> media -> automatically normalize ... ). That might be a workaround.
  19. The video is stuttering? Hmm, that reminds me of something... it's just a wild guess, but try to use the GPU setting "CPU only" (options -> advanced -> GPU Video Processor).
  20. Right, it's not exactly the same quality, but very close to it. At least so close, that I can't see a difference.
  21. When you export your video, there are several settings that control the output quality, see screenshot: https://imgbox.com/Nszc5gaz Select the settings that are adequate for you and the quality you want to achieve. My personal setting always is "Default quality" for video and audio, that means, that the output quality is equal to the input quality. This usually leads to big file sizes, that's why I use a video compressor after rendering (this one: https://handbrake.fr , great freeware). This might be circumstantial, but the result is worth the effort.
  22. It really shouldn't do that - for me it works perfectly. Maybe you selected several clips? Or maybe you grouped them? Which version do you use?
  23. You are right: 1. replace means that any existing effects of the target clips will be deleted, before the source effects are copied. 2. append means that the source effects will be added to the existing effects of the target clips. Hint: In some cases I find it very useful to save the effects of a source clip. After that, simply select all target clips, click on effects of any of the selected clips and load the saved effects. Videopad will ask you to set this effects for all selected clips (works like 2. = append).
  24. @borate I never use auto-normalize for my projects, so this problem might occur with normalize off only. I can reproduce it easily, it always happens.
