  1. we don't unfortunately support extracting audio from dvd's yet sorry.

  3. please read the File Format support questions thread stickied the top of this forum.
  4. If you downloaded the file from the itunes site it's protected and can't be converted.
  5. what does the "x" mean? I don't recall seeing this type of format before. the rm means Real Media I imagine.
  6. if you can hook up the machine to the sound card on your computer, use our wavepad product to record the audio. Wavepad has a feature called "automatic gain control" which automatically changes the volume level of the audio to an audible volume. get wavepad here: nch.com.au/wavepad hit the record button to start the recording. The AGC feature is found in the Effects menu. save the file as an mp3 on your computer (File menu -> save as) after that is done, use our Express Scribe transcription software to play the resulting audio file. nch.com.au/scribe
  7. Did you download the flac plugin ok? get it here: ftp.audiochannel.net/components/flacdec.exe shn: ftp.audiochannel.net/components/shndec.exe double click on the files to install them.
  8. I know many recorders create non-standard .act files, I have seen this myself. We can only support the stock standard .act format, as created by the Actions company who made the format. We have no idea how to handle variations. Lack of enforced standardization in formats like this is frustrating I assure you.
  9. it will be in the next release. mpc is not a format customers have asked us about until the last few months, so support was never considered.
  10. hey you seem pretty cool, can I send you a diagnostic version of Switch to try out? send me an email at tj[at]nch.com.au and I will send you one if you like. alternatively, what size is the .rm file you are working with? If its a few mb or less, any chance of sending it to me to analyze? That would be an even better option, because I can run more extensive testing on my end. Cheers.
  11. wma IS a compressed format, comparable to MP3. PCM wav is not compressed if that's what you confused it with. What happens when you change the settings around, does the file size change?

what? why are you quoting text from another thread and not writing anything yourself? use Express Burn nch.com.au/burn
  13. does the file open in our wavepad product? nch.com.au/wavepad
  14. It's written in the help documentation - look for things saying (Plus feature) or (Plus version), like in the "General Usage" section.
  15. It only works with IC class recording devices, as it indicates on the Sony page where you would have downloaded the plugin from.
  16. what sort of wave settings are you using? PCM 44100Hz stereo? or something else? we have had a couple of reports about this issue, but so far cannot get anyone to reliably tell us how to reproduce it, so we cannot get it to fail on our end as a result.
  17. yes that's correct, but those who want that support in Switch should hangout for the next version, with all the new cool features we are putting into it you won't wanna use any other product! :-)
  18. you guys should browse our sound file formats forum for a massive discussion on the oma/omg format. But if you want the simple answer to your question, see the FAQ stickied to the top of this forum, "File Format Support Questions".
  19. see here: http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=1180
  20. sorry I don't know anything about that format. It's a tragedy that there are millions of audio formats are out there and the companies who make them won't tell others how they work. It makes peoples' lives frustrating.
  21. no. It was deemed "clean" by SoftPedia.com - the award they gave us isn't presently up on the site, it's supposed to be though, I'll see what's happened to it.
  22. sorry I have no experience with mobile phones and bluetooth. Check the WMP files are not copy-protected.
