there are a number of problems with the MP3 wave codec that comes with Windows, it is not a very good codec. Please download the LAME ACM codec here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/LAME_ACM_Codec.htm and install this. You will get better results from this codec.

tip: you can write your email address in forums, just don't write it *properly* e.g. don't write [name]@[domain.com] instead do something like [name] [at] [domain.com] the bots scouring the web aren't quite smart enough to pick that up. are you sure you got the right folder? Have you tried a different folder like "C:\" ? are you sure the conversion succeeded? maybe it failed?

unfortunately with wma, if it doesn't work there isn't much else we can do. We are using Microsoft DirectX to decode the file, we are not using some sort of custom-built plugin. maybe check to see if you have the latest DirectX? The latest is version 9.0c. www.windowsupdate.com

it does take you to the codecs, you download the plugin .exe file and then you double-click the exe file to install the codecs. what link did you find for v1.28 of the plugin out of curiousity?

we sort of already did it in the help documentation, all you have to do is browse through it for things that say "Switch Plus feature"

I am less familiar with WinME, do you have administrator / restricted login setups? If its not working, that means Switch cannot write information into your Windows registry (i.e. you do not have write-access to the registry).

Among that info, should be something saying "DirectX version". You need to have at least DirectX 9.0c.
