  1. Install the latest version, and see if that changes the situation. It's linked in my prior post.
  2. How much free space is available on the hard drive? What are the system specs? Have you cleared unused Videopad cache files under OPTIONS|DISK? What version of VP? Try the latest.
  3. There may be a problem with available free space on your hard drive ... or something else. For NCH policies, see this document. The latest downloadable trial version should run on XP, if it has the disc, processor, etc. capacity to do so.
  4. That link appears to be an NCH-supplied codec. Why it's needed separately from the standard VP installation is a mystery to me. Consider retrieving the latest Videopad installer from the NCH WEBsite. To get a clean install, it might be advisable to first use this free tool, which should clear out all remnants of failed installations. Just download the file and double-click on it to install. After the cleaning, you may have more success with a fresh install of Videopad.
  5. Right-click on the Videopad install file and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. See if that succeeds.
  6. From NCH... "Please be aware if you purchased more than 3 months ago you may need to purchase an upgrade to use the current version. For upgrade pricing go to http://www.nch.com.au/upgrade/index.html with your old registration ID number and Key." The install file for your purchased version should still be on your PC and can be reinstalled. That should give you a licensed copy.
  7. See if the suggestions in these threads offer insight... http://nch.invisionz...output-message/ http://nch.invisionz...than-720p30fps/
  8. If Telephony's ideas don't work for you, please share one or two of these unloadable files by uploading to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. and posting the link here. Someone will check them. You might also try a reinstall of Videopad.

    Can't Export?

Did you ever license (pay for) an earlier version? If so, reinstall it. The install file may still be on your PC. Unlicensed versions don't require sign-up, and export functions are crippled after the trial period. Some time back, one could attempt to uninstall the trial - via Windows Program and Features - and they would be presented with an option to use a free version, with limited export formats. That may no longer be the case, but you can take a look. A reinstall may or may not enable some export formats. Here's a link to what is listed as the latest "free" version.
  10. Corruption of that one clip? Can you replace it?
  11. Try the latest. Crop is one tool that will never vanish. It's the first effect listed in the menu.
  12. Seeing no spikes or choppiness in your final video, but there is definite video lag. The original was downloaded here, imported to VP 4.48 and exported in the same mp4 1280 X 720 format, using the default encoding settings. If you have an old version, update the program. Duplicate my export settings. Also test outputting at a lower resolution and/or a different format.
  13. The VPJ file is not video/audio media. It's an instruction file that tells the program where to locate resources. To convert your mp4, import it into Videopad (add file). Edit. Then export the project to any available format.
  14. See if this thread relates to your problem.
  15. I'll second that suggestion, Nat. Find myself dragging the wrong marker.
  16. An audio crossfade option would be a plus. For video it would be handy if two types of transitions were available - crossfade (no overall timing change) and overlap, which overcomes the 'freeze' scenerio - but timing is shortened as the two clips play over each other. Allowing placement of the transition - before, on (as it is now) or after the cut point would also be useful.
  17. Sync probably isn't an issue with discrete audio tracks, but should it be here's something else to test... Drag the unlinked audio clip two directly up to the overlay track. Then extend the borders of both clips to create the overlap, if sufficient video is available from the original clip. i.e., drag the left border of clip two to the left a second or so, and drag the right border of clip one to the right, to create the overlap. That way, sync should not be disturbed because clip placement hasn't been altered.
  18. Is it your aim to have the URL appear continuously throughout the presentation? If so, open the subtitles box and move the red [ START bracket all the way to the left and click START. Move the blue ] END bracket all the way right and click END. None of the thumbnails will be shaded. Click APPLY. An alternative would be to add a TEXT overlay clip that spans the length of the production, or several clips that overlay specific segments.
  19. This can occur if there is no excess video available from the original clip. i.e., applying a two-second transition requires the FROM clip to begin fading out one second from its end, but if there's no video left in that clip at the zero point then it must freeze. Same idea on the TO clip. Try to have sufficient video on both clips to accommodate the full length of the transition. If that's not possible, you might shorten the transition to minimize the freeze. Or even overlap the video tracks and fade one out while the other fades in (and A/B roll).
  20. Apply the video effect in the usual manner. Stack and overlap the audio tracks as shown...with track 1 fading out as track 2 fades in. To create the fades double-click the first audio file, then right-click in the preview window and choose FADE OUT. Do the same with track two but FADE IN. Fade length can be changed by dragging the keyframes (dots) on the blue line to the left or right.
  21. One method... Select the audio clip Right-click on it and SAVE AUDIO CLIP AS NEW FILE In the media window, under the audio tab, click on the file you just created Drag the red START [ and blue END ] sliders to select the portion that is to be exported Open a new segment by clicking the + sign that's to the right of the SEGMENT tab, just above the left side of the time line Use the PLACE green button to place the selected audio segment on the time line Export
  22. Upload the image to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Pictr.com, etc., make the link public (if necessary) and include it in your next post. Did you apply the procedure suggested in my earlier post?
