  1. Drag the second clip below the first, which will create audio track 2.
  2. See if either of these pages is of help. https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html https://www.nch.com.au/general/refund.html This is a peer support forum - folks just like yourself.
  3. Place the red-lined cursor at the cut point, right-click the clip in the bin and PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. The clip will insert at that point, moving later clips to the right. If instead you prefer to drag the later clip, leaving a gap for the new one, first select (highlight) all the trailing clips, then hold down <alt> while dragging. They will all move right, leaving a gap. Yet another method is to drag the clip from the bin to the cut point. Watch for arrows on the sequence track. When they line up with the cut point, let go of the mouse button.
  4. What are your export settings: aspect ratio ... and resolution, which often works best at "auto match" though that's only a suggestion.
  5. There have been several similar reports of late, but the audio loss can not be replicated by NCH or the testers in this forum. That's the case with both of your projects. Using version 8.23, they loaded and exported normally with audio intact. For a short while, here is the result of the video clip. Click DOWNLOAD to save it to your PC. What are your PC's specs: RAM/CPU brand and #. To see this, click the Notification icon at the bottom-right of the Windows 10 screen. Click ALL SETTINGS | SYSTEM | ABOUT. Can you test Videopad on another PC? Try closing Videopad, then restart it and before loading anything Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS | DISK tab. If that makes no difference, try a total uninstall using this free tool. After it runs the Windows uninstaller, select all the registry files that it finds and uninstall those as well. Then reinstall Videopad. A note has been sent to the developers. Please report your findings here after trying the above measures..
  6. Folks here will be glad to help... What version of Videopad is being used? Please share your project, so we can take a look. It's easy, takes but a few minutes and can be done privately. Echoing Nat's instructions, above, here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  7. Let's check out your logo. Please upload to a free server, make the link public and post it here. You might even include a link to a screenshot of the way it looks when resized and positioned.
  8. To save a group of effects as a template to later apply to other clips: Open the effects window by selecting a clip and going to "Video Effects" on the toolbar or click the FX button in the clip on the sequence. Once this is done, you can apply or edit the effects you wish to save as a template, then hit the "Save as effect chain template" button. Enter a descriptive name to use for your template (e.g. "Shrink to Corner") and hit "Save". When you want to apply it later, open effects, scroll down the items to the bottom and choose your template; it's just another effect. Go with Nat's PROJECT template instructions below if you want to save the sound cue with the video. Even without a placeholder the template can be used just as he instructs. and manually moved to where you want it in the sequence. To rename your template, click the 3-lined 'hamburger' menu at the top-left of the window, then click FILE | OPEN PROJECT. Locate the folder that contains your project templates - likely "C:\Users\<user>\Documents\VideoPad Projects\Templates" ... Right click on the template and RENAME.
  9. It is free for use. This may be a YouTube issue. Just tested an upload to YT with an NCH music cut and it succeeded. What specific cut did you use? https://nchsoftware.blogspot.com/2013/07/royalty-free-music-library.html Request help... http://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html As an alternative, type "royalty free music" into any search engine.
  10. Share the project. It's the best way to have someone replicate what you report. It's easy, takes but a few minutes and can be private. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  11. Drag your clips to the sequence, arrange them to taste. You might even separate them with GAPS by dragging them apart. Then export using the specified settings In this example the export File Format was Mp4, but there are many others. Ask your brother which format he prefers.
  12. One approach, provided this isn't an orchestra, is to place each clip on its own track, then apply effects to each, positioning them in different screen corners. A multi-split. Try the split-screen effect, using "fill region.' Position video by dragging it on the preview screen. After synching, edit each track independently.
  13. Please see this thread... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/30613-program-will-not-recognize-my-youtube-channel-resolved/?tab=comments#comment-80406
  14. Thank you for sharing your project. Using version 8.23 it completed export as a 1080 Mp4. All audio was present, but the timeline between 3:10 - 3:29 is missing video. Perhaps that explains three Mp4 files, each with no content, that could not be loaded. They are MVI 8209, 8239 and 8240. Please reinstall the program, then reload your project. Colleen followed up...
  15. AVI likely will be fine; check the WEBsite or target for their specifications. Still, VP should not lose audio or end prematurely upon export and folks would like to find out why. Be sure that no audio tracks are soloed or muted (at the left of the track). What version of the program are you using now? The latest beta version is here. THE best way to track this down is for you to share a project. It's easy, takes only minutes and can be done privately.

    No audio at all

Use version 8.20. Though it couldn't be reproduced on this PC, some users had audio loss in version 8.10, which 8.18 fixed. It's understood that you tested the beta. Try Videopad on another PC if available, to isolate whether this is an issue with your specific machine. CHAT seems to be up and down. Success on 3/29 at 7:30 PST. https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html To post a link to a screenshot or file in this forum follow the instructions here.
  17. Open the files in a player and look at their PROPERTIES | DETAILS or MEDIAINFO, as in the MPC-BE player from https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpcbe/ You may see something like this... If they are MUXED, use a free demuxer on each file to extract audio. http://www.pazera-software.com/products/audio-extractor Then In Videopad UNlink the A/V in the original file and substitute the new audio file that was extracted. Or mute the original audio and place the new file on the track beneath it. If you have a problem seeing whether these files are muxed, please upload a 'bad' clip to a free server, share the link and post it here.
  18. An 'upgrade' likely isn't necessary, but buying another license may be. A Videopad FAQ states... "What restrictions apply to the license? If the license is named as an "Installation License" the main restriction is you need to purchase one license serial number for each computer that the program runs on. Can I move the software or reinstall the software in future? Within reason - yes. As long as the software does not continue to run on the old computer you can install the software on a new computer. As a piracy control measure we do limit the number of installations to 2 times in any 12 month period. Note: we do run an anti-piracy system which can detect multiple installs. But as long as the software (with one serial number) runs on one PC at any one time, you will not have problems." If this doesn't answer your question, go here https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html
  19. Please note NotADevWinkWink's reply above. When direct uploads do not succeed, simply export the file to your PC in a YT approved format. Then use their uploader... https://youtu.be/6C4dEpT0rYg Works fine and is just about as fast as the direct route.
  20. How long is the project? Also, please mention the format and resolution of the bulk of the clips: HD, 2K, 4K? If 4K, try exporting at HD or 2K resolution. Problems can often be tracked down if a project is shared.

    No audio at all

Sure can't say that you haven't tried. Did you use the REVO uninstaller and give it permission to delete all files, including those in the registry? When you place a single audio/video clip on the sequence, is there sound? The 'side panel' is apparently the BIN (top-left) where clips are imported. When you import a clip there and double-click it, is there sound? Have you downloaded the finished product from the supplied link?

    No audio at all

You can see CPU and RAM specs by clicking the Windows 10 notification icon (far right-bottom of the screen), then ALL SETTINGS | ABOUT. They are listed there. When you state "If I disconnect the audio from the clip and move it to the side panel, it should give me a separate audio track that I can use elsewhere" to what SIDE PANEL are you referring? Please close the program, then restart it. Before loading anything, Clear Unused Cache Files. Then reload the project. If the audio track is still flatline, try the UNinstaller/reinstall suggestion.

    No audio at all

If you don't get a response to the email use the CHAT feature. https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html Again, what are the PC specs? CPU/GPU/RAM? Have you downloaded this as protection, so the server can be cleared? The issue is baffling as it can't be replicated by Nat or me using versions 8.10, 8.12. or the latest beta. Is there no audio from the sequence only after export or is it missing as you are editing as well - played in preview? If the latter, confirm the volume slider is to the far right and that no clips are muted. The track should like the image below for every clip... There should be no RED X on any speaker icon. Click on each speaker icon. In the box that appears, be sure that the volume slider is far RIGHT. Last ditch efforts... Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS | DISK tab. Do a full UNinstall, using this free tool. Then reinstall the latest version.
  24. Videopad installs to the C:\ operating system drive. However, the caching drive can be set under OPTIONS | DISK tab.
  25. Never would have guessed. Thanks for checking in. Tested the direct VP upload at 2 AM PST and it succeeded. Using YouTube's interface to upload a file that has been exported from Videopad to the PC is relatively easy and quick.
