  1. What Nat sez. Something along these lines may be about as close as you will get... Song_animate.mp4
  2. <ctrl-shift-esc> Right-click on the VP task and END TASK.
  3. Load it into Videopad and try the ROTATE effect. Also check out the ASPECT RATIO options.
  4. You have tacked onto a very old thread. Best to start a new one. While the old footage could be an issue, that's unlikely. Submit a sample file and someone will test it. Upload the file to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. Copy (share) the URL and paste it into your post here. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Drop back in here if that doesn't solve the problem.
  5. Tough to troubleshoot unless folks here can check out your project. Let's have a look. It's easy, takes little time, and can be private. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  6. Experiment with the ASPECT RATIO choices that are available in recent VP versions via a right-click on bin clips or via effects on bin or sequence clips. Try letterbox. Also be sure that the export choice reflects that you want a wide-screen presentation. If this doesn't solve the issue, upload and share your project and someone will check it out. HOW TO UNDO

EDIT menu | UNDO or <ctrl-Z> REdo is <ctrl-Y>. Regularly SAVE PROJECT AS and give it a unique # or name, so as to not overwrite prior saves. SAVE PROJECT will overwrite. That AS choice is available via the 3-lined 'hamburger' FILE menu or by clicking the chevron to the right of the SAVE button on the HOME toolbar.
  8. If the blue line is on track 1 and text is on track 2, then the result should be just as it appears in your demo. To me, "text on top" means that the blue line is behind.
  9. Just one idea... Track 1 - Two adjacent clips on the sequence of a png blue-line image grabbed from the WEB, with a dissolve transition between them Using the SCALE effect and its base Y slider, both have been identically sized and positioned one below the other. The line can be made transparent if desired, and superimposed over a lower track image Another approach would be to use a single line clip and animate its SCALE effect base Y to change position. Then save the effect as a template, which can be applied to later edits. Two templates might be saved - one to move down and the other to move up after a song title is changed. Experiment to see what works best for you. Tracks 2 and 3 - Simple text overlays, songs 1 & 2 respectively, for the duration of the sequence Text can be loosely positioned by dragging it in the preview window Song_title.mp4
  10. You should be able to drag the clip to the far left and have it snap back to the beginning of the timeline, though this can move track one as well - if it's not locked first. Record_2020_04_13_13_36_10_824.mp4
  11. Several ways to overcome that... Drag it to where you want it. Or, while the clip is still in the bin, position the sequence timeline cursor where the music is to begin. Then right-click the music clip and OVERLAY ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. If this disturbs the video track, lock that track before adding audio 2. Right-click at the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. If you make mistakes, simple press <ctrl-Z> to go back - step-by-step.
  12. Seems to be working as it should in v8.28. 1. Typed a subtitle, clicked BACKGROUND under the Format tab, made it red at 50% opacity and Applied to Selected. 2. Repositioned the cursor for the next subtitle, then clicked ADD. 3. Typed another title, UNchecked BACKGROUND, clicked ADD. 4. Typed a third, after repositioning the cursor, and checked both BACKGROUND AND SHADOW. Made it yellow at 50%. Clicked APPLY. Subtitles.mp4

  14. Open Video Effects for the insert clip (you) and click the POSITION icon. Use the sliders to move the pic or drag it around in the preview window. You may need to SCALE it as well, just as Nat suggests... Record_2020_04_13_07_41_21_371.mp4
  15. Doesn't ring a bell. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. If that doesn't help, someone here will help you solve it if you share your project. It's easy, takes only minutes and can be private. 16. Apply a scale or zoom effect to the upper track and see if that accomplishes your goal.
  17. There is no frame rate setting for preview. MOV might be a good choice for Apple users, as that's a format associated with the old Quicktime viewer. FR and res likely aren't an issue for them. Testing 30fps constant here as a MOV looks very good. Flickering_St_Bosse.mov
  18. Specifically, which VD plug in? The two just tested here are the MSI Old Cinema and the Cartoonizer. Not all VD plug ins/features may function but those seem to do the job, using the latest VP release.
  19. If using recent Videopad versions there are aspect ratio options from both the right-click menu on bin clips and via effects on bin clips or those on the sequence. Play with them on the individual landscape clips. Try LETTERBOX first.
  20. Thanks for sharing. Export at 60fps constant and the fades will be about as smooth as it gets.
  21. Sure. And a track can be locked, so it isn't affected by editing of other tracks. Right-click the the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. Grouping will lock the clips together, until they are ungrouped. Two tips: Regularly SAVE PROJECT FILE AS, by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project icon and making that choice. Give the save a unique number or name so as not to overwrite prior saves. If just plain SAVE PROJECT is used it will overwrite. If you make a mistake in editing, press <crtl-Z> to UNDO. This will step back edit-by-edit. It's the same as EDIT | UNDO from the menus.
  22. Select (highlight) the two clips. Then they will move in concert. And, once selected, they can also be grouped if desired via the right-click menu. Select the image that follows the one whose duration is to be changed. Go to the end of the track, hold down <shift> and click the last image on the track. That will select everything within the range. Now extend the duration of the image. In this video all images are three-seconds. In the middle, the face is clicked (selected). Now <shift> is held as the final image is clicked. Then the dog image that is ahead of the face is dragged to the right, making it longer. All clips following it are moved to the right. Only the first dog image duration was changed. Record_2020_04_12_09_30_24_843.mp4
  23. Closed to comments. Just follow the "portable" instructions in the link, upload your project, share it (make it public), copy the shared link and post it here or privately. Someone will be glad to check out the issue...and likely solve it. No fade glitches seen here. Are you running a PC or a Mac? As mentioned above, updates are free within 6-months of purchase. But the purchased program will continue to work indefinitely.
  24. See this thread. It's a known issue under investigation.
  25. What VP version are you using? Try the latest.for Windows. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the problem persists someone here will be glad to look over your project. Just share it...
