  1. Hi everyone, I am importing old Video/Digital 8 tapes to the PC to upload digitally. Currently using a firewire card/cable to get videos from camera to PC. That seems to work fine. I use Videopad and dump the raw .AVIs into the timeline. However, on most of my videos, the audio is compressed by 1/3rd and sped up. My voices sound like the Chipmunks. If I adjust the audio speed to 66.7%, it seems to make the audio sound right, but it still doesn't line up 100%. Luckily the videos aren't great, but I'd like to get the audio and video to sync up. Right now, the importing software I'm using (utility called WinDV) breaks it up by clip or several minutes (unsure how it does it). I have had some clips line up right, but most are not. My most recent example is a 12 minute clip, where the video runs 12 minutes and the audio stops at about 8:20. Any suggestions on how to fix? When I play the clips in question in a movie player, they play correctly, audio and video is synced.
