  1. Doesn't matter which version is installed, 32- or 64-bit. The next install will overwrite. To see which it is watch the opening screen when VP loads or click FILE |HELP |ABOUT VIDEOPAD. If it doesn't list "64" it's not. The popup that appears when clicking the download link may give a clue.
  2. Is it possible that you are comparing 32 with a 64-bit versions? Version 10.63 (32) is 4.28GB. 10.63(64) is 5.18. Don't be too concerned. Unaware of verified issues or bugs that haven't been addressed. Need specifics, and several users have not followed up.
  3. When viewed in Windows Explorer (the file manager) note the VOB files. That's DVD video - a Movie disc, not Data. Worked fine here in a Samsung BR disc player after being burned to a rewritable DVD/RW with Windows disc burner, which writes in UDF format. More on that from the Express Burn FAQ... Select the filesystem to use (ISO, Hybrid or UDF) The filesystem is the way data is stored on a disc. In most cases please use Hybrid but for maximum compatibility with old PCs use ISO/Joliet. You may select the filesystem to be used for the disc with the button on the right which will be labeled 'ISO/Joliet' or 'Hybrid' or 'UDF'. This button toggles between the filesystems (you may also use the Ctrl+S shortcut key). These filesystems are explained in more detail in Data CD Overview. The result should be playable directly in Windows 10, if VLC is installed. The DVD drive will show up as a virtual drive letter. When burning to disk, test with a rewritable, to save on duds.
  4. Perhaps there's confusion here. A DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) disk can accept a variety of formats. It your aim is to create a DVD DATA ISO, then the above 480 resolution test fit the disk... "...the ISO took about 25-minutes to create. Size: 3.73GB." This will play on a PC, but likely not on most standalone DVD players. If you want to create an ISO for a standalone DVD player, choose DVD MOVIE. Using the latest VP release, that resulted in a 3.44GB ISO that took more than an hour to write. Can't spot where you see an estimated export time, but don't put a lot of stock in the estimated file size. As for fitting large files onto a single disk, look here.
  5. My guess is that this is a limitation of the H264 codec, Use MPEG4 instead and the result will be 4fps.
  6. Place your completed project on the timeline, as if you were about to export it. Then follow the above instructions step-by-step. We'll take a look. Why is the export at 4fps and 144p?
  7. What's the desired export frame rate? Upload the PROJECT FOLDER and someone will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  8. Specifically, what format is being exported, using what codec (H264, H265, MPEG4?), and at what frame rate? The fact that your version is unlicensed likely isn't relevant.
  9. Using the instructions above, please upload the project that created the 1.77GB file - not the mp4. Mention what version of VP is being used. Are you first creating an mp4 video, then loading that video into Videopad to export as an ISO? Don't do that. Export your project directly to a DVD Movie ISO.
  10. The linked mp4 is 720 resolution and 7.28GB. No way is that going to create a 3.60MB ISO. Initially you made mention of "low resolution." What resolution? 720 res ISO results here on the mp4... Latest VP version 6.14GB 7.53 VP version 6.12GB At 480 resolution, using the latest VP release, the ISO took about 25-minutes to create. Size: 3.73GB, which fits onto a single DVD.
  11. What program did you use to capture/save that mp4? Did you make two passes - one at 1080 and the other at 720? Go to OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and UNcheck this box. Audio should then be okay. As for video freezing at higher resolutions, test the latest 64-bit version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  12. What Videopad version is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the interface. Someone here will be glad to help if you take the time to share the project. 13. Let's see the project (not the export). Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 14. What are the export settings? What version of VP is being used? To get to the bottom of this please share the completed Videopad project - not the remuxed mp4 source or the exported result. 15. Use the bottom horizontal scroll bar to go to the dark gray area at the end of the sequence. Right-click in that area and Close Gap In Track or Close Gap in Sequence..
  16. Thanks for submitting your project in a Personal Message. Two tests run with beta version 10.75 - at HD and 4K. Both were glitch free. Try again. Be sure that your video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html
  17. You have posted to an old thread, and the issue may not be the same as yours. Use the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Share the MOV, if that's the issue and the new version doesn't fix it... Someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  18. Tested a 40 minute 1180x664 project here with both the latest VP beta and the older 8.45 release. Both resulted in nearly the same file size, though creation was about :30 faster with the older version than the new. A second comparison, a :50 1080 project, resulted in an older VP version ISO file that was one-third larger than with the new version, and took almost three times longer to export. Upload your file for comparison and someone will check it out. Specify the export resolution. 19. Thanks for the link, where the problem is evident. The only way to track this down is for you to share the project. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. 20. The clip that you are importing: how was it created and what is its format? Please share it, so someone here can analyze the problem.
  21. Export Auto-Match is a suggestion, based on source files. If if doesn't reflect the res you want, manually select another. The drop-down menu includes many 16:9 choices, including 2 and 4K...
  22. As above, scrolling works with an arrow key depressed if the sequence is in focus. There's no target date for other enhancements, but they're in the works. Bookmarks can be set on sequence clips without a dialog box. Right-click on the scrubber (red line) arrow. But they cannot be set on bin clips. That said... Bin clips can be COPY/PASTED repeatedly. Each copy can be trimmed... then dropped onto the timeline. Leave the master clip as is. Clips already on the timeline can be dragged to the bin (deleting them from the timeline), trimmed there, then dropped onto the timeline. To keep track 1 from fully expanding temporarily place a blank clip on track 2 at the end of the sequence. Track 1 will still expand, but only minimally. The white line will drag the UI up or down within limits, sizing the preview window. Feel free to file suggestions via the link above; they are considered. UI.mp4
  23. Rumor has it that this feature will be forthcoming, as part of shortcut key upgrades.

    Update?

Commercial software often charges a fee to update after a period of time, or is offered strictly on a subscription basis. Videopad has that option as well. VP frequent updates are more cosmetic than indispensable. New features, UI refinements and quick glitch fixes that may not be encountered by most users. As mentioned, the latest unlicensed release can be installed, to explore what's new. This seems a fairly liberal policy. Retain your installer and registration info.

    Update?

Updates are free within a six-month period after purchase. Try this version, which seems to be within that window. New releases can be test driven without registering. Running as a trial, there eventually will be feature limitations for the normal download version. The free version is similarly limited.
