That would be a good enhancement. Suggest it... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software The closest VP function is preview playback speed, which can be set with the button under the PV window. Then press the spacebar. For sequence play, holding down the arrow key will scroll reasonably quickly... Record_2021_08_16_10_25_19_786.mp4

Splitting a MP4 file in the middle position with Videopad
borate replied to Russ Croucher's topic in VideoPad
May not help, but to place the cursor in the middle of a clip or the timeline divide the ending length by two, then input that number in the 'cursor' box. In this case that # is 18.404, to be typed into the same box <enter>. Cursor jumps to the center of the clip or timeline. -
What version is being used? Use <shift-arrow> in the current 64-bit release to jump from clip to clip.
-
You can try. Refer to this thread.

Your 8.91 registration may be good for 10.43, which was released in mid-May. Or try 10.16. If your license isn't accepted, drop by again for alternatives.

Clicking on Update launches the install screen, for acceptance. The version installed will be a trial, unless licensed, so you can check it out. After a time, some features will be disabled or the program may not work. As noted above, the free version will function indefinitely, with similar limitations. Retain your old installer and registration info.

That was the same Videopad version used earlier? What version? (Look at the splash screen or left-bottom of the VP window.) Does the 'warp' show up in preview or at export? If the latter, what are the export settings?

That doesn't look too sharp. What are your export settings? What version of Videopad is being used. Share the project here and someone will come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

You can always test drive the latest 'pro' release without paying a dime though in time certain features will be disabled. It's a trial unless licensed. The free version has limitations but won't time out. In any case, retain your old installer and registration info. But, yes, the newer features likely won't solve this issue - just give you more to play with.

What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? To diagnose the problem, share the project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. What version of Videopad is being installed? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Share that file, and someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."

solved Export ONLY the audio track as an audio file?
borate replied to Orla Moller's topic in VideoPad
If you have captured in Debut and now have the file loaded into Videopad... Click the Sequences tab above the bin (top-left), then right-click the sequence and This will produce a Sequence1.WAV file in the PC MUSIC folder. Wavepad and numerous other apps can convert that to mp3. Debut specific info can be found on the Debut forum. -

Here are two stacked 9x16 clips positioned side-by-side on tracks 2 and 3, over a blue still background on track 1. There's no black border between them. Untitled.mp4
