  1. Once the calculation for the initial position is done. Animation can be done by just moving the position. Depends on what kind of animation you want to do, you can either: Compute the new position by apply the same calculation. Directly move the position, say toward upper 10% after 20 seconds. Either way shouldn't be hard. You can also apply "Crop" effect after "Position" only to preview what you'll get. Best,
  2. Google Translate (Spanish): Could you please describe the problem in detail, for example: Which version of VideoPad are you using? Are you getting the problem all the time or just for one project? Have you applied any effect or transition? Which codec have you chosen to export? Best regards,
  3. Hi Shoebill, You problem seems different from a sync issue. Have you used reversed clip speed? There is a know issue for reversed(negative speed) clips and will be fixed. Best regards,
  4. Hi Daorus, I tried doing the same myself. The only way to get it done is by: Calculate the top%(Y1) and bottom%(Y2) like you already did. Apply a "Position" effect so the clip is offset vertically by 50% - (Y1 + Y2) / 2. What it does is move the to-be-cropped portion to the center. Export the clip with 720x304 resolution and select "Crop Edges" while "Aspect Ratio Conflict" dialog pops up. Please note that no "Crop" effect is need and do not change preview resolution. I admit this is awkward and just a workaround. We'll work on a better design for cropping. Best regards,
  5. Hi, Confirmed pan doesn't work in v4.00 and it is a bug. Thanks for reporting this. We'll fix it in next release. Best regards,
  6. Thanks for reporting and confirming this bug. It will be fixed in the next release. Best regards,
  7. It was a bug and has been fixed since users reported it. Please upgrade your VideoPad to the latest version (v4.00). Best regards.
  8. Thanks for reporting the bug. I've filed it to our Mac team. Best regards,
  9. Hi, Please try Debut which is another NCH product dedicate for video recording. It shares some of the underlay components with VideoPad but exposed more options. It may help us identify the problem. Here's the link for the free non-commercial use version: http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/debutsetup.exe. To recording from a webcam, simply click Device on the tool bar. In Option dialog please try switch the Use original frame timestamps option on and off. See if it makes any different: Best regards,
  10. I've tried switch between the two different codecs. Occasionally I got a few seconds frozen image at the beginning of the video. I'm not sure but it seems to be a choking when the codec starting to work. But after the frozen part the video plays fine and the sound did not out of sync. Have you seen that frozen part? It could be the frozen part was somehow skipped and cause out of sync. Are you using the latest version (v4.00)? Added: When I press the record button, the UI look empty for a few seconds before showing the first frame. Please play attention to that time since it might be as well the duration that you got out of sync.
  11. Could you please tell me what kind of recording device(video camera) you are using? I'll see if I can get one and replicate the problem.
  12. Hi, Yes, we saw the screen shoot. We were able to reproduce the bug using a MOV file containing PNG image sequences. We would like to find out if the problem only happens on a particular format. Please upload the muzzle flash clip you used in VideoPad if possible. Thanks for reporting this bug. Best regards,
  13. It seems like there was not enough computation power for recording at 640x480 resolution. In theory it could cause out of sync when recording. But that never happen before. 640x480 video frames are in fact quite small for modern hardware. Please check if there are other CPU intensive programs running in the background and close them before recording. Best regards,
  14. Hi, I'm not quite understand what's the problem. Are you getting "ghosting" in VideoPad? Best regards,
  15. Hi, Could you please up load the muzzle flash clip to DropBox? Your link is local so we can't access. Best regards,
  16. We do our best not up set existing users while adding new features. Best regards,
  17. Hi, Are the clips you just recorded (the one appear in the media folder after finish recording) out of sync? If it is a recording issue, then probably something to do with the video camera driver. Could you try update the driver or another camera? I've tried a few cameras available for me and they work fine. Best regards,
  18. Hi, Yes, it is already on our bug list. We will get it fixed next one or two releases. Best regards,
  19. Hi, Thanks for bringing up the issue. How about an option for automatically trimming clips when applying transitions? Best regards,
  20. Hi, Export dialog don't allow to export DVD and 3D file at the same time. We already aware of that and plan to redo the export UI after the next release. For now the workaround would be: 1) Export the project into 3D video file. 2) Create a new project and add the 3D video file in as a clip. 3) Burn the new project to Blu-ray/DVD. Best regards,
  21. Changing DVD format from +R to -R probably won't help. It seems the problem only happens on one particular project? Have you try that project using v4.00? Best regards,
  22. Latest version of VideoPad can be downloaded from this page: http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html We've fixed a text related issue discovered from v3.89, so try out v4.00 is highly recommended. You can roll back to v3.89 if don't like it. The installation files will be in your application folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad). If seems that there will be difficult for you to use file sharing services. Let's try something easier: 1. Create a new project in VideoPad. 2. Add a blank clip (3 seconds by default, you can make it longer) and put it into sequence. 3. Add subtitle on the sequence. Make sure the subtitle is visible on sequence preview. 4. Burn that clip to a DVD. You can use a re-writable DVD so no waste. 5. If the subtitle is missing please let me know. I'll contact you and you can send me the file via email. Best regards,
  23. If you replaced a video with the same file name, the old sound cache files could messed up with the new video. Please try restart VideoPad and do not load anything, then select Options->Disk->Clear Unused Cache Files. Best regards.
  24. Hi Sarumboy, When exporting, texts and subtitles are in fact treated the same. So it is really strange that you got text working but not subtitles. If it can be reproduce easily in the latest version (v4.00), please try upload your project files. You can copy all files into a folder by using File->Back Up Project Files To Folder. Zip the folder into single file and upload it to a file sharing service (DropBox, Google Drive etc.). We'll examine the file and see if there is a bug. Best regards.
  25. It will be available in the next release, about 2-3 weeks later. Best regards.
