  1. Hi JAX, I really like this idea. I'll be happy to recommend that this be included in a future version. Regards, Ben

    please ..

Here's a good one on reverb: http://plus.pointblanklondon.com/reverb-parameters-explained-in-logic-pre-delay-attack-decay-diffusion-density-spread-room-shape/ But if you google "Reverb Parameters" you will find a huge number of similar resources. If you have any specific questions about particular parameters then let me know. Regards, Ben
  3. Hi bugmenot, Musepack (.mpc) output is limited by the format to 48k sample rate. Regards, Ben

    please ..

Hi ashrafkhalaf, That depends on what kind of sound you are looking to create. I would suggest reading a little bit (there are a lot of online resources) about what the different parameters of echo and reverb effects do. Then play around with them until you find the sound you are looking for. Regards, Ben
  5. Hi Otbl, WavePad should do this for you automatically. Are you having a problem getting to work? If so, could you please describe the process you are using? Regards, Ben
  6. Hi onesmartguy, Could you give me a few details please? 1. What OS are you using? 2. What kind of sound card do you have? 3. Could you please describe the process you are using to try and record and what error message you are getting? Regards, Ben
  7. Hi player, Just in case it's not clear, bear21 is actually the developer for Crescendo. Regards, Ben
  8. No problems. I've downloaded the module and I'll give it a try and see if I can find the issue. Regards, Ben
  9. Hi player, Ok thanks for that. I'll raise that issue too. Regards, Ben
  10. Hi chaim.ms, Currently there is no option, but I raised the issue and it will be added in the next release. Regards, Ben
  11. Hi player, Thanks for the report. I'll raise it as a bug and it should be fixed for the next release. Regards, Ben
  12. Hi Cristina, When you say "all the files are there" are you referring to the .aud files in the projectdata folder? If so, then I suspect something may have gone wrong with your sound hardware. I would try rebooting first. If that doesn't help then we can look into it further. Regards, Ben
  13. Hi majorhenderson, Does this happen under the same conditions as described above by Stalin828? Regards, Ben
  14. Hi everyone, Here are instructions on how to clear your WavePad cache. As a note, this issue has been fixed and the latest version of WavePad will not create the issue. However, upgrading to the new version may not fix the issue if you are already experiencing the issue, in which case you will still need to follow these instructions. 1. Save your work and close WavePad 2. Navigate to the following directory: C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad 3. Delete any files which have any of the following file extensions: (.grf, .aud, .mp3, .nchmp3) The problem should now be fixed. Regards, Ben
  15. Hi Rholeen, The issue is that WavePad needs to decode the file in order to be able to work with it. WavePad will use the drive where it is installed for this purpose - not the drive where the audio file is located. I'm afraid the only option you have is to try and free some room on your main hard drive. Regards, Ben
  16. Hi RossM, There are loads of places to download MIDI files. Google is your best bet, but here is a good one to get you started: http://www.midiworld.com/ Regards, Ben
  17. Hi phartnett, I'm glad that Crescendo has been a mostly good experience for you and I'm sorry about the lack of the phrase marks. I will make sure this feature is included in our next major release. Regards, Ben
  18. Hi Davidben, WavePad is certainly capable of doing what you need - it should be able to open all of the files and allow you to work on them simultaneously. Are you able to send me one of the problematic files? I can have a close look and see why WavePad is failing. Regards, Ben
  19. Hi Rholeen, Do you know the format of the audio from the talking book? If the audio is recorded at typical CD quality then a 17 hour file will actually require more than 21GB of hard drive space to work with. Regards, Ben
  20. Hi Leonardo_Paradox, I don't think there is a straight forward answer to this - it really comes down to what process you find to be the most productive. If it were me I would probably do something in the middle of the two extremes - work on maybe a few bars or phrases at a time. Regards, Ben
  21. Hi garryb, If you click on the "Audio Options" button for the track you are trying to record to (the spanner icon), do you have the Recording Options field correctly populated with the device you are trying to record from? Regards, Ben
  22. Hi Net, I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the problem. Can you post a screenshot? Regards, Ben
  23. Hi mario17 Yes you can change stem direction. Select the notes or chords that you want to change (you can select multiple notes at once by using the control key and clicking each note, or select a range of notes by holding down the shift key and clicking the first and last notes of the range). Then right click on the note and from the pop-up menu select "Stem->Down". As for changing margin widths, it is on our list of todo items, but it is not currently implemented. There is a workaround which will allow you to change one line at a time by selecting a bar and then right clicking and then clicking the "Spacing..." menu item. However, this is a bit time consuming. As I said, support for this will be added properly soon. Regards, Ben
  24. Hi Kevin Spacey, Unfortunately at this point not really. We are adding some processing to Voxal to try and address this situation and it should be available in a future release. In the meantime, you may find that changing the location of the amplify effect could help. If you edit your Voxal voice you will see that each voice has a list of effects. The order of this list is important and can change the way the effect performs. Experiment with adding or moving an amplify effect to other points in the list. Regards, Ben
  25. Hi Tony, The help manual for Crescendo (and all our programs) is an online webpage. You can view it using any web browser. I don't really know why you are seeing a Chrome icon appear - it may have something to do with how you have your default browser setup. Try pressing the F1 key which is the help shortcut and see if that works for you. If not, then you can access the help for Crescendo directly from this link: http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/crescendo/win/index.html Regards, Ben
