  1. Just remember that cassette tapes are actually four tracks - two tracks either way. Therefore a mono recording on tape is still two of the tracks in normal use. When your tapes were brand new the sound on the two tracks would've been more or less exactly the same, if it was a mono recording. Over time there may have been some deterioration to your tape making a slight variation on/ between the two tracks. When you record from your cassette player record in stereo and then if you feel like it merge the two channels on your recording to mono. Be aware if you convert to an MP3 it will probably revert to two channels.
  2. Sorry, I haven't responded to this - I followed Chris75's advice and got a response that helped. However, the module I found was one called easy-IQ-One.
  3. I have tried a couple of VST effects but there seems to be a couple of problems. I keep getting an error message "can't load????module - there seems to be about 3 different modules that these messages indicate but eventually the mix does play. It would be helpful if there were more presets on some of the effects that come with the programme ie in compression etc. Otherwise, I have found the programme and it's companion Wave Pad to be quite nice programmes that I have enjoyed using and I hope they continue to develop/ improve.
  4. I just go Mixpad recently - will I need to pay again to register the new version?
