Hi lilfish, You need to tell MixPad where to find the gsnap plugin. Open MixPad and click on 'Options' Go to the VSTs tab Inside the table called 'VST Paths' you should see a list of the places MixPad will look for plugins. Note, if there are no places listed, then you need to add one. Place the GSnap.dll you downloaded into one of the paths mentioned in Step 3. Click on the Fx button on one of the MixPad tracks. MixPad should start scanning the paths you specified in Step 3 looking for VSTs. If it doesn't do this, then click the 'Refresh VST' button in the effect dialog Please let me know if you need further help. Regards, Ben

DCT as output format, or suggestion of another format
nchBen replied to Skylark's topic in Switch Sound Converter
Hi Skylark, I will certainly raise a suggestion to add DCT as an output format for Switch. In the meantime, you should be able to use WavePad or Switch to convert the multi-channel files into a Stereo or Mono file (not DCT, but mp3 or other) with all the 8 channels allocated to either the left or right. So you won't be missing any audio. This is the default behaviour for both WavePad and Switch so you shouldn't need to do anything special. Regards, Ben -
Hi angeryboi, Voxal shouldn't make any changes after being uninstalled. Exactly what is wrong with your audio system? Are you getting no sound at all or is it just the 'surround sound'? Regards, Ben

Hi Blando, I will email you directly. Regards, Ben

Hi Blando, Sorry you're having troubles. I would encourage you to lodge this directly with our support team at https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html. The issue sounds complex and better suited to technical support rather than community support. Would you mind also giving me a few details about your setup? What kind of hardware (audio interface) are you using to record? What version number of MixPad do you have? Regards, Ben

Hi Scribbious, I am having someone look into this now. Regards, Ben

Hi gpfenderguy, There are a few places you can access them. 1. Right click on the score and go to the 'Repeat' menu 2. On the 'Notation' tab there is a 'Repeat' button. Click on this and the go to the sub menu 'Markers' Regards, Ben

Hi gscrutch, When you say that playback is in mono, do you mean that the exported project (eg mp3) is producing a mono file or that the project itself is playing back in mono? Regards, Ben

Hi Mitch, Looks like there may be a small bug if you are trying to delete the start of a clip in this manner. You can get around it by using "Cut" instead (Ctrl - X). I'll get it fixed for the next version. Thanks for your feedback. Regards, Ben

Hi Edd, Yes it is possible. While recording just hit the Bookmark button or the shortcut key (Ctrl-B) and then enter the name of the bookmark (or just accept the default). Recording should continue without interruption. Regards, Ben

Hi Jeon Jongin, For acciaccatura and appoggiatura grace notes right click on the note you want to add a grace note to and go to the "Add Grace Note" menu item. You can also convert a note into a grace note by using the "Grace Note" menu item. As for arpeggio symbols, we do not have them yet. But they are on our list of symbols to add. They should be available in a coming update soon. Regards, Ben

Hi Miele, Ok, thanks for your feedback Regards, Ben

Hi Miele, Ok, I understand. MixPad can't apply effects on the input bus for monitoring - it is something we are working on adding in a release soon. Regards, Ben

Hi EricH, We are working on integrating all new features in the Windows version into the Mac version. It will be available soon, but I'm afraid I can't give an exact date. Regards, Ben

Hi Guys, I can confirm that this issue is being worked on and will be fixed in the next release of WavePad. Regards, Ben

Hi Guys, As of version 8.42 of WavePad, you can now do simple editing on individual channels. At the bottom of each file window is a new button you can use to enable separate channel editing. You also need to be select the view mode that shows the channels stacked vertically. Note that not all operations are supported here yet. Regards, Ben

Hi Miele, Can you give us a bit more of a description of your setup and what you are trying to do? Regards, Ben

Hi taylordad, What are the latency settings on your audio interface? You may like to try increasing it slightly and see if that helps. What are other tracks do you have playing back while you are recording? Do any of these have a effects applied? Regards, Ben
-
Hi Kurosuccwa, It sounds to me like you have some sort of noise gate in place. Do have any effects added to any of your tracks? Does any component of your hardware have any processing effects enabled? Some mixers offer a range of things like built in compressors and gates which could produce this issue. Even some mics. If you can give me some details about your setup I can try and help you troubleshoot it further. Regards, Ben

Hi Carrie99 MixPad applies a limiter only at the stage where the signal would distort, there is no way to turn this off. I would suggest reducing your recording level to avoid limiting and then use a compressor to reduce the dynamic range and increase the signal to a level you're happy with. If you can describe what type of signal you are trying to record I can see if can offer you some other tips. Regards, Ben

Shosty is correct. This is easy to do in MixPad. Regards, Ben

Hi Weespermopje, This just means that you haven't set your *playback* device to use your Tascam. Click the Options button on the main MixPad screen and go to the "General" tab. Here you should find a place to set the playback device. Set this to your Tascam and you should be ok to go. Regards, Ben

Hi Shosty, You may want to consider using the Clip Manager window. You can find it on the tools tab. You can then order your clips by track (give your tracks different names so they don't just all say 'untitled') and then you can select the clips you want from there by using 'Ctrl-left click'. I think this should be easier and less error prone than your current method. I will also look at adding some other alternatives too. Thanks for your feedback. Regards, Ben
