  1. With the method described - whether you use the on-line code generator or code that you create - the letters can be timed and positioned precisely, simply by dragging and sizing the text files. Experiment with the downloaded project to get the idea.
  2. You gave it your best shot. Very strange, as the PC here is very similar in specs to yours and the video you supplied looks great. Be sure those drivers are up to date, as noted above. https://www.nch.com.au/general/refund.html
  3. Check out the downloadable project and you will see how it was done via the method described above. You can generate your own code audio file. No need for precise timings, as the text files can be positioned and sized for each letter. Nothing will be cut off.
  4. Dots and dashes are of different lengths, of course. One approach is to use a code generator that will create a WAV file for the audio. Next, in Videopad, Set the OPTIONS | MEDIA tab default Image Duration length to about .500. Open the text file and input the letter A. In the bin (top-left) right-click that clip and COPY. Then, in an open area of the bin, right-click | PASTE CLIP. Do this as many times as needed for all the alphabet or other characters you need. Then open each text file and input an individual letter, number, etc. Place your code WAV file on the audio track. On video track one use a suitable blank or background image. On track 2, insert the appropriate text file letter just above the audio code character. The text clip can be shortened or lengthened by dragging its handles, and moved by dragging it left or right, so the position exactly corresponds to the audio. Takes practice.
  5. Yup, give it a try. Your situation is perplexing.^_^
  6. In the effects window there are several positioning tools, if that's what you need. CROP, MOTION and POSITION are prime choices...
  7. Odd. Never before reported AFAIK. Install the latest and see if response improves. If not, come back here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  8. There are many free codecs available via the Net. But, as most viewers and editors are unable to render the file correctly, it would be better to correct the issue by outputting in a more compatible format. MOV is a container format. Normally the encoders it uses succeed. Look here for background. The folks at Tricaster support may have the answer if you pass along the findings here.
  9. In this case, conversion isn't the issue - it's formatting and export resolution. For Virtual Choir insight see the 'sticky' at the top of this forum.
  10. There's no mandate to buy. The trial version will keep working with limitations. Same for the 'free' version, which you can install from here. The AVI export format usually succeeds if others are unavailable.
  11. Apparently your Windows operating system is configured to not show those entries. Rather than pursuing this route you might try the following... Download and install this free tool. It will be listed as Revo Uninstaller in your programs menu. Run Revo. Find the Videopad entry, right-click and UNinstall. After the Videopad installer completes, click Scan, then Delete all registry entries. It may present several pages. When it prompts "Finish" click that to exit. Now install the latest Videopad version. If that doesn't succeed, try another PC if possible.
  12. Please check the dates on threads and begin a new, descriptive topic. This thread is more than six years old.
  13. Likely missing a supportive codec. It doesn't play in Windows Media Player or in MPC-BE. And won't load in VP or another video editor See if another output format is available.
  14. If you want to flip the other way, start with 360 degrees. As for in front/back, higher track - or transparency may do it. If a different issue/problem surfaces, please begin a new thread with specific title.
  15. The anomaly may be simply a naming convention... Rotate to edge... https://nch.invisionzone.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=2665
  16. Put one up on a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shareable (public) link, copy the link and post it here or in a Private Message via the envelope at the top-right of this forum. We'll take a look.
  17. Don't recall the construction of that WMV, but the rotation effects are prime suspects. ROTATE will turn an image on edge. In some VP same-numbered versions, there's only a single rotate effect, in others there are two. There are several slight UI and feature differences in each release, and it is random which is installed. As for split, yes, corrected: when adding effects to a clip prior to splitting, UNsplit is available. If effects are added after the split the same applies as long as both clips were selected when the effect was added. If not, or if both clips do not have the same effects, UNsplit won't be there. In recent versions, multi-selected clips instantly receive the same effect. IMO that's not the best approach; older versions didn't do this. And there's a bug... If the user has changed a default effect setting, only a single selected clip will carry user parameters, while the others get the effect's default parameters. Multi-selected effect application is currently being reevaluated and may change. For the present, what counts is that you have found what works for you.
  18. UNsplit is available whenever an effect is added to a single clip before a split. If split is made after adding an effect then both parts get the same effect if both were selected. See the follow up below for more on this. It's then a single clip in two sections, so when you add another effect, singly, to either part UNsplit isn't available.
  19. What version? Here's the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? What are the export settings? Folks here will be glad to help solve the issue if you share the project. This is easy, quick and can be private. Just follow these steps carefully and we'll take a look... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Click COPY LINK | DONE. Share --- Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. And, of course, save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite.
  20. If you have cleared the folders mentioned above, try a normal (left-click) install. Here are the components installed by VP on this PC. At the top, those under App Data; at the bottom, the ones under Program Files. Check your folders for the same. Is anything missing?
  21. A screen grab to another format might do the job. But for an entire game, this could be arduous.
  22. In you right-clicked on the installer and clicked Run As Administrator, the 8.99 program should have begun to install. Does here.
  23. Please be more specific on just what you're trying to do, perhaps by uploading a demo of the effect to a free server and linking it here.
  24. Your original file, on the PC, won't be affected by editing in Videopad. But, of course, it's a good idea to have a safety back up.
  25. If you have problem finding and deleting component file. Please follow these steps: Right click on your desktop, select New->Text document. Ignore the file name for now by clicking away. Double click on it and open Notepad. Copy the two lines below into Notepad: Save the file and exit Notepad. Rename the file to "1.bat" (or whatever file name you want, just have to be .bat). Right click on the .bat file and select Run as administrator (you need to logged in as administrator).
