  1. Have you tried installing the latest version? Old version may have an issue with the latest Mac OS.
  2. When loading files you use the LOAD option, you are looking to select a folder not specific files so all folders will show empty. Once you select the folder and comeback to the LOAD window you will see the list of files that are inside the folder you selected and here you will now be able to select the files you wish to load and then click on LOAD at the bottom.   3. This seems to be an issue with the latest Mac OS. You can test your foot pedal with other media player, the issue does not exist on Express Scribe only. You may also want to check this forum found online. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253300520
  4. Try a different Hot-Key combination. Go to Preferences then select Hot Key tab then edit the hot key combination for the Rewind.
  5. While NCH Software team is working on a solution, you have to set your speed to 100% only.
  6. Click on View then select "Show Channels Control". Note that the multi-channel control window only appears when you play a stereo or other multi-channel file.
  7. The only option is to enable Express Scribe Mini Control then make sure that Express Scribe "Floats Above Other Window". Click on View to enable the feature.

  10. You have to make sure that your speed is set to 100% only.
  11. You have to make sure that the set Sound Device is working, go to options and select Playback. You may also try to change the channel control while playing audio files.   13. Are you using USB 3.0 on the new computer and USB 2.0 on the old one? possible compatibility issue. You also need to check if you have a compatible foot pedal, you can check the list here: http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/scribe/win/inpdev-compatible.html
  14. This does not work all the time but you can try to click on View then uncheck "Show Channels Control".

  17. This is usually an error when you are trying to convert copy protected files.
  18. You try to refresh Express Scribe , clear C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Scribe\ then reinstall Express Scribe version for your license.

  21. Disconnect any external speaker or headphones and see if the audio works. You can also try the MP3 file on to a different media player, check if the audio works.
  22. Is your foot pedal detected when you try to set up? Try the steps here: https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10225.html "Please check that your audio hardware is functioning correctly and that Preferences -> Playback -> "Sound Device" has been correctly configured.????" - this is an error for no sound issue, not related to foot pedal.
  23. This is a possible bug but only Support can confirm. You can try to change playback speed, increase or decrease the speed and see which setting works for you. Go to Options then choose Playback.
  24. What's the version installed? Do you have an issue with a specific video file format?
  25. Unfortunately, there's none. Express Scribe supports SAPI 4 and SAPI 5 compliant voices which are developed by Windows. Safe to say that Express Scribe Speech to Text feature only works on Windows.
