I installed Express Scribe on my Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) system (under Lutris/Wine) so that I could try out its speech to text (STT) feature. The program runs fine, but I really need that STT feature to work. However, when I choose the STT tab the "Enable speech recognition" check box is grayed out along with the message "No compatible speech recognition engine found." Can you help me get this fixed so I can use the software? Thanks.
Hi, I really like the look and feel of the software, I am just having trouble switching the Speech to text to another engine and was wondering if anyone could help? I am looking to switch the engine from English to Russian. I have tried adding the language packs https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27224 with no success, partly because I believe the Russian language in that pack doesn't support speech recognition (might be wrong about this) Is there anyone out there that has successfully switch this to Russian and could help? This is the only thing preventing me from purchasing this software and adding it to my daily tools.
I am currently using Express Scribe (and loving it!) for audio files and manually transcribing the files. I just started using the Speech To Text feature but it is horribly inaccurate. How do I train it to be more accurate? Can I or do I need another program?? I am not the one dictating so they are audio files, is this even possible? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you
