  1. If you do not see any engines in the pull-down list, then you have not fully installed your speech recognition software or it is not SAPI compliant. Express Scribe can use any SAPI (4.0 or 5.0) compliant speech recognition engine to assist you to transcribe recordings. For example: Dragon NaturallySpeaking (earlier version), Microsoft Voice or IBM Via Voice.
  2. Express Scribe does not control notification sound. Try to play a movie or music on any media player and use your foot pedal controls, see if the issue exist.
  3. Is it a DVD that you are using? Have you tried different DVD?   7. You can try to go to Options, click on Disk Usage tab then follow the file path set on the Data Folder. You should be able to find files loaded to Express Scribe from here.
