  1. Hi! You may open a support ticket through this link https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html if you need immediate and direct assistance. Once you open a support ticket there, you will be asked to send over the WavePad project you are working on, this is so we can try it on our end. Stay safe!

    You tube editing

Hi! If you wish to edit only the audio portion of the video clip to be downloaded, you may do it on WavePad. However, you will need a third-party software/website to download YouTube videos before you can import them onto WavePad (if you wish to edit the audio), and/or VideoPad (if you wish to edit both the audio and video). Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with. Thank you for your continuous support.
  3. You are most welcome! Feel free to reply to this threadl should you have another concern you need help with.
  4. Hi! In this case, you may need to restart your phone, as it may be playing through the phone's earpiece (and not through the loudspeakers) because it may be detecting that you are still in a phone call. Restart your phone and re-open the program. Let us know if this addresses your concern. Keep in touch!
  5. Hi @octuslimb, there's a similar thread for this inquiry. Please allow me to quote the suggestion from that topic. "You mentioned that you've come up with .wav files from the Tascam DR-40, which is a good device for recording. WAV audio format has been around and has been one of the industry standards in audio production/post-production for films, TV, radio, etc, and it seems that will be the case in the foreseeable future. As for your needs, if you'd like to make some edits to the recorded content, and/or break it down to shorter files/chapters, WavePad should help you do that. You may check it out through this link https://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html For archiving, it would be best to keep an original copy of those 85-hours worth of material into a secure drive, or perhaps a cloud storage service so that it will always be accessible." It would also be best to save the recorded files onto an external hard drive to ensure that they are always kept in a safe storage device.
  6. Hi, If the waveform looks like a a flat line, it would suggest that the program is not hearing any audio signal from your microphone. Moving forward, can you confirm if the recordings you have have audio data in them, or are they completely silent? Keep in touch. Stay safe!

    Recording

Hi! You may refer to this short video tutorial on how to record <https://youtu.be/Um3RySWgeF8> Are you using an external microphone and/or an audio interface?
  10. Hi Jaffer! On MixPad, kindly go to preferences/options > General > Audio Playback > Select the proper audio device (internal speakers, headphones, or others if you are using another audio interface). Once set, restart the program. Let us know if this addresses your concern. Keep in touch!
  11. Hi Jerry, this was done on the MacOS version of MixPad Master's Edition. Kindly open a support ticket through this link https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html so that we can retrieve further information about your case.
  12. Hi! Thank you for taking the time to give these. As shown in the screenshot, Mix1 was successfully paste mixed onto Main2 file, with both the left and right channels intact.
  13. Hi! Kindly send us the exported audio file from MixPad wherein the paste mix plays on the left channel only. You may upload the files on a cloud storage service (Google Drive/DropBox/WeTransfer/etc.) of your choice then please send us the transfer link so that we may be able to access the files. Thank you for your cooperation.

  15. Hi, As of WavePad v12.74 for MacOS, adding custom shortcuts are available under WavePad > Preferences > Keys > Add You may refer to the attached screenshot. Please make sure that you are running the most recent version of WavePad so that we may be able to provide you with the most accurate support possible.
  16. Hi, At the moment, the default metering bar on WavePad (even on the latest versions) is as such (refer to the attached screenshot), because this db range is mostly already enough for most use cases. Moving forward, if you need to monitor noise floor levels that are beyond the given metering bar range, you may consider looking up mastering plugins that would offer a wider range of metering. For as long as they are in the traditional VST format, they should be compatible with NCH WavePad.
  17. Hi, could you further clarify what kind of video are you recording? What kind of project are you working on? Please note that WavePad is designed to record audio signals that run through a microphone. On its own, it cannot record video and audio at the same time.
  18. Hi Dave, this is a duplicate thread. Kindly refer to <https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/38191-‘fall-off-‘notation/> Thanks!
  19. Hi Dave, Other than the gliss options which are already available in the current releases of Crescendo (refer to the attached screenshot), You may also use the Acciaccatura/Appoggiatura tools which can be found when you right click on a single note > Grace notes

  21. Hi! Regarding the stuttering, it could be due to a certain piece of hardware not being optimized, or not having enough processing power to handle all tasks at the same time. For diagnostic purposes, kindly send us the following information about your machine's hardware. Kindly give out the most details you can to the best of your ability. Processor: Boot/Storage Drive: Memory: *FOR EXAMPLE* Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-8500B (6 cores, 6 threads) Boot/Storage Drive: ex. 500 GB NVME SSD Memory: 32 GB DDR4 RAM --- Regaring not having ny audio playback anymore, kindly proceed to WavePad > Preferences/Options > Audio > Sound Play Device > Make sure that the proper audio device is selected. Let us know if this addresses your concern. Keep in touch!
  22. Hi! Kindly send us some sample files you are trying to work on and a screenshot of the exact settings you are using so we can try it on our end. combine files

HI! Since you'll be combining two audio tracks so that they can play simultaneously, you will want to use a multi-track software like MixPad. You can check it out through this link <https://www.nch.com.au/mixpad/index.html>
  25. Hi! At this moment, this feature is not yet available with the current release. The best workaround would be to create a new Crescendo project and name it with the same work name, but with a different movement. But we will take this into account when we consider the future features to be implemented in upcoming releases. If you wish to make a formal suggestion to our developers, you may refer to this link: https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/ We value your inputs and feedback. Thank you for your continuous support.
