  1. Glad it worked out. Yes, VP has numerous ways to handle a project; it can get confusing when mixing different A/Rs and resolutions. Both your clips look okay here. The slight 'flicker' at the end of the dissolve from the fisherman can be avoided by extending just a bit.
  2. Comparing shot for shot here there's no difference in the programmed first frames (after dissolves) and the export. Never a sign of A/R distortion. Videopad seems to be rendering faithfully what was programmed. The issue likely arises from the mixed A/Rs and effects. To simplify, try this... Set preview Aspect Ratio drop-down to 1:1, so what's shown is what you will get. Remove the A/R effects (Letterbox or Crop) on every clip. Just leave the P&Z settings. Prior to adding fades to the clip, adjust the Pan/Zoom Start/End boxes if necessary to reframe a shot. Export at 1:1 , such as Resolution 1280x1280 Widescreen Fit: Crop and Zoom Frame Rate: Variable (Smart Max 45fps), Quality/Filesize: Default You should get this. Download and view with WMP or other player. Looks just fine here. For smoothness and enhancement, fades have been added, the "fisherman" clip has been extended slightly, and there's a dip between the two ending background shots. Also, confirm that the PC's video driver and Direct-X are up to date... 3. On straight clips, frames appear to now be counted correctly when in/decrementing a frame at a time. Per your test, what's still not kosher are counters, frame-by-frame, though they appear to work normally in typical usage, as noted above. A work in progress, Pete. Keep filing bug reports and refer to this thread.
  4. For these comparisons, the zipped attachment, above, was loaded and exported, then the result compared with your unaltered upload. Your original "fisherman" and my revision look the same here. (That clip in the revision was extended slightly to smooth the next transition.) And the "church" framing appears to be just as you programmed it... Your green-boxed area... The result in the revised project...
  5. Make each clip CROP to ASPECT RATIO on the timeline. Some are LETTERBOX to A/R. That may be causing the A/R problem. Export as shown below. Here's the revised project, based on your original, with no positional changes.
  6. Could not replicate the issue with your original, but did make a few tweaks and eliminate possible effect conflicts. To see what those were, load the revision and examine each image effect in the bin and on the timeline. Export was set to 1080 letterbox (not crop), SmartMax45 fps. This is full-screen 1080, which seems pleasing.
  7. Lossless will be faster, when available. Auto usually determines what's best. Glad it worked out.
  8. It's conceivable that this is a limitation of the encoder. Try a different one, such as MPEG4. Click the blue Default Quality/Filesize link to see the choices. If that makes no difference, please upload the file in question to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  9. The video looked good. If the problem reoccurs, share the project. Someone will take a look. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  10. Go to the 3-lined Menu at the top-left and choose VIEW | SHOW DUAL PREVIEWS. Then you can adjust in the clip PV window and see the result in the Sequence PV window. 12. There's a ZOOM effect on the Sequence. Click the Sequences tab above the bin and right-click Sequence 1. Choose Effects and kill the ZOOM. Nice dolphin.
  13. A 'big box' can't fit into a small one without some content being lost, or distortion (unlocking the A/R). Borders are expected. The original... If exported with the Crop and Zoom setting (or via the C&Z effect)...

  15. Try exporting via the LOSSLESS EXPORT on the Home toolbar. If that doesn't succeed, try this release. If no help, please share the project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. This is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. 16. Close Videopad. Right-click on the launch file and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. If still no joy perhaps there are corrupted files. Close Videopad. Then use this free tool to delete all traces of ONLY Videopad. When it asks to scan the registry, let it do so. Select all files and delete them. Then reinstall Videopad. You might also try another PC, if one is available. Did that help?
  17. Thanks for sharing. It's fine here in v13.49. Might be a better presentation if export is set to CROP & ZOOM instead of LETTERBOX. Reboot the PC and see if that helps. If not, more suggestions will be offered.
  18. To track this down please share the project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 19. Is the export Format field empty? If so, click the caret and choose a format. Test this release to see if it has the same issue. Please report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  20. Are you referring to the timer effects? Tested each of these on both a 30 and a 29.97fps stopwatch clip and they worked normally in the current v13.49 beta. If you're referring to the cursor counter that's under the preview window, it seems to be functioning as well. Upload a video if possible.
  21. Follow Dangerfreak's advice, then program a TRANSPARENCY effect for an empty Sequence 2 that contains only your three clips. Move the slider to zero opacity, then click the small green + sign to set the first keyframe. Move the effects graph cursor to the end and set opacity to 100%. The graph will look like this... Export the sequence. Return to your original sequence and replace the original three clips with the exported composite clip that you just created. To program the audio fade... Move the timeline cursor to the end of the clip. Right-click the audio track and FADE IN FROM START TO CURSOR. If you get an error, move the cursor just slightly to the left. It should look like this...
  22. In the current release, with the 'Auto normalize' box checked, there should be more uniformity when loading files, necessitating less individual adjustment. Audio issues may have been a contributor to this issue in your version. When the project is complete, save it and load into the latest release to see if there's an improvement. Be sure the "Auto normalize" box is checked.
  23. OPTIONS | MEDIA is checked in v13.49, and narration is okay. The red over-peak square isn't a concern. The woman at about 16:00 could stand boosting of 150% via the AMPLIFY effect. It's noted that you reduced the level of track 2 music, which is pleasing. There were audio level irregularities in some earlier VP versions, which may be at the root of what you report. Try UNchecking the above option and reloading the project. Then you may have to adjust individual clips via AMPLIFY.
  24. Yes, that behavior changed some time ago - whether by intent is not known? It's been reported. Just came upon a way to accomplish what you want... Unlink the clip. Drag its audio to another track. Lock the clip. Now audio can be dragged independently.
