I am new to video editing and would greatly appreciate it if someone could advise me regarding "Device Settings", "Encoder Settings" and "Property" Settings for video capture please. I am using a video capture device with the red, yellow and white RCA plugs (plus S Video) with a USB connector for the PC. My PC is 3.6Ghz, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10. I have the latest version of Videopad and plenty of spare disk space. I would like to capture video from the following devices: Sony Digital Camera/Recorder (Mini DV Cassette tapes); Sony Handycam Camera/Recorder Hi8; and a standard VHS player

Hi all, when I export to a Blu-ray disc, I always get 23.97 fps instead of the "Advanced" setting value I have entered during the export dialog. In my concrete case, I tried a single 50sec clip from Sony XR550E recorded as 50i, and naturally wanted to export it to the Blu-ray disc as 25 interlaced (and not 24p nor 60p). I both burned a disc (plays at 60p!), and also burned an image (Win10), and played it from the image with VLC which shows metadata FPS as 23.97.... Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? My version is 5.32 (OK, it's not the latest but I would have to pay for an upgra

Hey guys As you know I've been concerned about the speed of exporting videos with release 4.58 and above (before then they seemed to generated more quickly). I know NCH is aware that not all CPU power is being taken by the export (and will hopefully speed it up soon) but that aside Borate (or possibly one of the other tech specialists) mentioned that the export fps could affect the time if the video output was not the same fps as the source video(s). So this week I generated my entire video with an fps of 20 (for both cameras) and exported with the same fps (usually I export at

I have version 3.61 for Windows, running on Windows 7. Everything works fine, but when I export a sequence to file, the dialogue box specifies a MAXIMUM frame rate. My original clips are 1080p, recorded at a fixed frame rate of 25 fps. If I specify 25 fps (PAL) for the output file, the resulting video, regardless of format (e.g. AVI, MP4) or codec (e.g. H.264, mpeg-2), will be written with a VARIABLE frame rate. Mediainfo will report the video as having a frame rate of anywhere between 8 and 25 fps, with an average of 23.8 fps. Now, upload sites such a Vimeo, have a preference for vi

For the purpose of making digital cinema packages i need to generate image sequence files and separate wav files at high resolution (2048x858 pixels) and a specific bit rate (48.000). My favorite videopad can do this, but: it generates to little images per second! Anyone knows how to change the framespeed? The other export possibilities can. Thanks.
