  1. I believe it did "auto-match" to the odd size video clip and that's what set the video final resolution, therefore corrupted. I found the corruption though. The one video segment reports 1080 x 1920, with a/r of 9:16. Backwards compared to everything else. I tried to change the a/r and the cropping and while it did look different in the sequence it would not render properly. I was able to render this segment alone and then insert it back in the original sequence and it's fine. Not sure why it works that way but it's the only method that worked.
  2. Perfect, thanks for the tip on partial exports. I just had a look at a couple of the last segments I added to the sequence. One of them was 1080 x 1920, whereas all the other segments are 1920x1080. I'm guessing that when you start the export and it looks at all the files, it's seeing this last segment as the rule for the resolution.... maybe? Solved.... in the time I was typing this post the export test finished and that was it. The last segment res is what governed the cropped output. I was sure that I tried the "force" option once when exporting but regardless it didn't seem to work like I thought it would. Next I will add back in the template for the scaling and I should be fine. Then I'll figure out how to use the odd segments step at a time. Thanks for the input people!
  3. Thanks borate, but this is a company project in which we are proposing an automation solution for Tyson foods so I can't share the content at least not at this point. Nat, I had used the Scale effect on the photos and setting up the template was really easy per your instructions again thanks for that. The effect is this: Image starts in center of frame at 0 Horiz and Vert ratios. Image not visible then increases in size evenly to .75 for Horiz and vert ratio for maybe 2 seconds then back to 0. No changes for Base or Offset etc. Works great is smooth and I like it. While fumbling around trying to find the export "cropping" anomaly with no luck I decided to remove the effect on all 4 images and see what we get. Same thing at export so the image effect apparently didn't make any difference. I really believe I have something screwed up in export as simple as it is. Looking at it again this morning. BTW is there a way to only export a small portion of the video ie start and end point for the sequence as you would with an individual clip? I could do that and post it on YT or something as an example. Thanks for the help. DanielB
  4. Well I have set something or embedded something that is changing the size when exported. Many times I have exported to 1920 x 1080 and it views perfectly. Then today after getting an effect saved and used in a few places, the export now cuts the sides off. I've tried every combination of resolution and still it's cropped for some reason. Any ideas? DB
  5. Nat, Thank you for the reply. I had actually deleted the effect and moved on to just showing a static image for now ( I needed to show mgmt something for the first review). I will go back and work with this process again so I understand it and can then apply it. I use the home edition at home and just recently purchased the pro edition for the office. Again thanks for the assistance and I'm looking forward to being a member of the forum. DB Edit: That worked like a champ! Can't believe I did not find it when searching methods earlier. Thanks!
  6. I am working on a project where I show a few seconds of a process video segment, then I want to bring in the result of the process as a still image and enlarge or scale it on the screen to read the number or result, then reduce or scale it back to tiny size out of sight. I did figure out the keyframes to achieve this for one segment but then need to repeat that same process for the next few segments and I want the time and sizing to be identical for all images. Q: is there a way to copy or clone the effects and keyframes used in either a video segment or a single image (photo) to other images? I looked for a way to copy, duplicate, match properties etc and did not see anything. Thanks for any assistance. DB
