  1. Two more thoughts... Upload the project, as described above, and someone will check it out. Try THIS version of the program and see if results are better.
  2. What version of Videopad? Paid or 'free?' Common export settings would be 1920x1080 mp4 letterboxed (if the choice is active). Please let us have a look. Upload your project per the instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS (not project as) If it's sensitive material, you can send a personal message to me with the shared link.
  3. This page should help. There's a support link at the bottom. https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html
  4. Humm... check this out. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html Reinstall VP, or install the latest, as linked above. Let us know.
  5. So someone can check it out, please upload the project per the instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Separately, upload the five-minute clip. Make those links public (share them) and post them here. If you are not using the latest version, test it. Save your project first, of course, and save the original installer - especially if your version was licensed/registered. The latest can only be registered with the code received at purchase if it's been less than six months since that date. But the newer program will work, as a trial.

Select (highlight) all the photos. Right-click on one of them. Click CHANGE DURATION. Under the preview window, set the new duration. <enter> The default duration can be specified under OPTIONS|MEDIA. Don't believe a default can be set, but the default duration is under OPTIONS|EDITING. To protect an audio track, click the 'lock' at the left side of the track. The track will then appear shaded.
  7. If you are running version 7.10 or 7.11, an acknowledged bug may be the cause. As it's being addressed, two things to try... 1. Output the project as a video file at a resolution that looks good, and is accepted by YouTube. Then use their uploader. 2. Retain your old Videopad installer. Temporarily install this version and try the export once again.
  8. Click the ADD TEXT button and click on SIMPLE TEXT. The text editor opens. Text can be dragged to any position, via the cross-mark in the preview window, or click one of the alignment icons at the top-right of the text compose box. Make the desired color, outline, shadow, etc. adjustments, then close the text box. The clip will appear under the IMAGES tab in the bin (top-left of the window). To superimpose the text, place it on a higher track than the underlying video. Higher tracks always take precedence. For lots of good info, http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23872-videopad-tutorials/
  9. If you do not pay to license and register VP it's trialware. That said, there is a version that may enable you to continue exporting to some formats. After a full-featured trial period it should prompt to downgrade to the "lite" version. If it does not, it may after initiating an uninstall via Windows Programs and Features. Better still, purchase the program. Download here. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/free.html Try exporting as avi.
  10. Confirmed, and bug filed. Open the effects window and choose the transparency effect instead. Place the scrubber (red line) at the head of the clip. Click the small green + sign that is above the graph. That sets the first keyframe. At the four-second mark drag the blue line up to 100%. That will set the second keyframe. It should look like this...
  11. You did not answer the queries about the 'fade.'
  12. Good to hear. If you registered the new version, upgrades are free for up to six months. If you did not, some features will not be available after the trial period ends.
  13. Exported the project at 1920x1080, with a two-second crossfade transition into the Meredith slide. Looked fine. What rate were you applying to the Meredith slide? Was this a crossfade from the previous scene or a cut to black, then a fade up on the slide? Does it also fade out? At what rate? Four files were listed as missing...
  14. 6.30 is dated. You might test your saved project in the latest, if it will load. Save your 6.30 installer, of course. The latest won't be licensed/registered - it's a trial version, unless you pay to upgrade. Does the noise occur on every fade, or just one? Are the clips on the same track? Switch to Storyboard mode and verify that there's no extra video/audio between the two.
  15. Odd. What VP version? Upload the project as it is stands now on the timeline and indicate here what effect was applied to which clip. Here's how... . http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Someone will check it out.
  16. Try removing the transition and creating it again. Try adding a few frames to the end of the FROM clip prior to specifying the transition. Try the latest version. Retain your old installer, especially if you licensed and registered. Upgrades are free for six months.
  17. Here's a paste from a 2016 post, assuming that the facts haven't changed. Your purchased version will run on the new PC. You may, however, want to upgrade as many changes have been made through the years. See if you like what's been done by installing the latest lite version. This caveat, from NCH... "What restrictions apply to the license? If the license is named as an "Installation License" the main restriction is you need to purchase one license serial number for each computer that the program runs on. Can I move the software or reinstall the software in future? Within reason - yes. As long as the software does not continue to run on the old computer you can install the software on a new computer. As a piracy control measure we do limit the number of installations to 2 times in any 12 month period. Note: we do run an anti-piracy system which can detect multiple installs. But as long as the software (with one serial number) runs on one PC at any one time, you will not have problems."
  18. A large file like that can be problematic, especially on low-end PCs. Try going the Proxy Editing route. After a little up-front prep, you may find it much more pleasurable. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26563-proxy-editing/ The .vpj is a control file - tells the program what to do.
  19. If the clip is sensitive you can link it to me in a private message. Reinstalling certainly won't hurt. What is the format, resolution and length of this clip?
  20. Let's take a look. With the problem evident on the timeline, upload the project and share it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to save as a PORTABLE project, copy/share the uploaded link and paste it here. Alternatively, if this is but a single errant clip, upload the clip. Before loading the project, Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK.
  21. You don't. One sequence is always permanent and cannot be deleted. If you created a sequence 2, then sequence one could be deleted - but not sequence two.
  22. Good work! Corrected a glitch at 7:45 and repositioned the 'choir' slide to the head of that clip. Export took 19 minutes, which demonstrates the benefit of higher-end hardware. The text issue you saw was due to accepting the "auto-match" export suggestion. It's a guess, based on source files. For your project, chose 1920x1080 HD letterbox.
  23. Very close. Snapshot-2.png is missing. You can upload it independently and link it here.
  24. Yes, something is falling through the cracks. That is just the .vpj file once again. Google Drive does succeed on tests with other VP projects here, so it's not clear what is occurring. 1. Have the project on the timeline 2. Click FILE|SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT and indicate the folder where it will be saved 3. Open folder where the file was saved. Confirm that it contains all your project files plus the .vpj file Taking a slightly different approach, and assuming you are using Windows 10 4. Click a blank spot in the screen that lists the files and press <ctrl-A> on the keyboard. All files will be selected (highlighted) 5. Right-click on one of the selected files and click SEND TO|COMPRESSED FOLDER. This will create a yellow folder named xxx.zip 6. In Google Drive, click NEW|FILE UPLOAD. Locate the zipfile and double-click on it. A progress box should appear at the bottom-right of the window 7. When the upload is complete,, right-click on the zipfile and click SHARE|GET SHARABLE LINK. Paste it here.
