  1. This is a long, old thread. Best to start anew. Specifically, what error - processing sound? Have you stabilized any clips in the project? What version of Videopad is in use? Upload the project and someone will check it out. Issues are usually solved quickly. The process is not difficult, takes but a few minutes and can be private. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable link to post.
  2. Share the project. We'll check it out. With the full project on the timeline (including the Mp3 files), click the 3-lined 'hamburger' menu at the top-left. Click FILE | SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. Upload the folder that results to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shareable link (make it public) and post that link here or in a PM private message. Continued in private messages.
  3. No. The unlicensed version has effect and export limitations, but it should not affect Mp3 audio on the sequence. An AVI export should succeed. Please follow the above instructions. If the problem isn't solved, share your project for analysis.
  4. Do not PANIC. There is help here. Save your work with FILE | SAVE PROJECT AS, so as to not overwrite a prior save. If FILE | SAVE PROJECT is used, it will overwrite. Close the program and have your Videopad install file on hand. Using Windows Explorer (the file manager) delete all files in "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" Reinstall Videopad. If feasible please upgrade to the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the issue persists, share your project (not the export) and someone will check it out. This is not difficult, takes little time and can be private. 5. First report seen of that behavior. Before you throw in the towel try the following... It may be helpful if you share your crashing project. This is not difficult, takes little time and can be private. Someone will analyse whether the project itself is causing the crash. Use this free tool to fully uninstall the program. Complete the registry deletions it suggests as well. Then install this version. If all else fails... https://www.nch.com.au/general/refund.html
  6. In recent versions, note the options in the split-screen box... Consider installing the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  7. No, that doesn't make sense. A burn window should appear only after the project is on the timeline and the EXPORT | DVD (Movie) is clicked. File format makes no difference. ----------> As mentioned earlier, if you have created an ISO file it can be right-clicked from your PC's file manager (Explorer) and BURNed with the Windows burner, not Videopad.
  8. Direct uploads from VP to YouTube can be iffy at times. A test here just now succeeded. Have you tried saving in a YT approved format and then using their uploader? https://tinyurl.com/yc352pkt
  9. Resolved in a PM Nothing wrong spotted in an export at 1080 w/Smart Max frame rate. Multi-track, lengthy projects may run VP out of memory. If that's suspected... 1. Export at a lower resolution, perhaps 720; many of your source files match that 2. Try different export formats and compressors, such as AVI using MPEG 4 3. Split the project into parts, export each, then reassemble those exports 4. Wait for release of a 64-bit version
  10. Export your project as an Mp4, using the H264 compressor at 540 x 960 custom resolution with the Smart Max frame rate. It will look great on a vertical phone screen.
  11. If you created projects in an older version, especially back in the days of 4.x, there is the possibility that some effects may not render the same in the latest incarnations as architecture has changed. It's best to edit and export with the same, or closely related version. If issues arise install the version that created the project. Though it may not be licensed, it should allow editing and export in AVI format. To track down the problem with frozen or incomplete video please share your project for analysis. It's the best way, is not difficult, takes little time and can be private. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. 12. Auto-match is a suggestion. A good bet is to export at the same resolution as the bulk of the source files. In the export box there are many quality choices: click the Default Quality/Filesize link. Frame rates may also make a difference. And, if the project meets certain criteria it can be losslessly exported - very fast, no re-encoding. In recent releases the PREVIEW resolution is automatically chosen for your monitor.
  13. That's correct. An ISO is an image of a DVD, for viewing on the PC or for later burning. No need to create it if you want to burn directly to the DVD. The VOB extension should not be associated with PRISM - unless you want that converter to pop up each time a VOB file is clicked. Associate it with your media player, as above. Use a Videopad project to export as an ISO. Share it here. Someone will confirm if it works correctly. Just upload the ISO to a free server, get a shareable link and post that link to the forum. Nothing need be attached.
  14. Some relevant discussion.
  15. The fact that clicking on a VOB takes you to the Prism converter says that it's the default association for that file type. This is different than AutoPlay. In Windows 10 go to the Action Center and in the ALL SETTIINGS search box type "default." Then click on "Choose a default for each file type." Scroll to VOB and associate it with your media player. Here that player is MPC-BE. Nat uses VLC, so that would be the association on his PC. Don't use Windows Media Player. Upload and share an ISO and someone here will see if works correctly.
  16. Best to start a new descriptive thread. How long is the project and how many tracks? What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? What is the export resolution setting and does it succeed at a lower resolution? Upload and share the PORTABLE project (not the export) and someone will be glad to check it out. Issues can usually be solved or explained quickly. The process is easy, takes little time and can be private... 17. A "VPR" file? If you mean Videopad's VPJ instruction file, those are not playable. With your project on the timeline, click the EXPORT | DVD MOVIE item. That will burn your project to the disk or make an ISO. The VIDEO_TS folder contains VOB files. Those are the ones that are playable if clicked, but that shouldn't be necessary. It appears that the writer did the job. Make an ISO with Videopad. Upload it to a free server. Get a shareable link and post it here. Someone will check it out. If the server balks at saving the ISO, try zipping it first, then upload the zip file.
  18. Let's have a look at the PORTABLE project (not the export). Someone here will help solve the issue if you share. It's easy, quick and can be private. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. 19. Preview settings are based on the monitor now, but for the Widescreen A/R choices, which will also affect export. Be sure to let the project fully cache prior to editing (completed green line above most tracks). If that's not done playback may jerk or not play at all. How long is your project and what is the resolution of the bulk of the source files?
  20. Download it. Install it, and 8.35 will be replaced. If you're a paying customer, retain your license info and the old installer.
  21. There may be something amiss, or being overlooked. A second channel can be added. Press the Add button and name it. Subtitle default length is set under the OPTIONS | EDITING menu. In the subtitle configuration box, position the cursor where you want each title, type it, then click the green + ADD. Or, prior to pressing ADD, click the "Go To End" button under the preview window, then click ADD. The sub will be placed immediately following the one before To change IN/OUT times, select a subtitle, then click in the time windows below the preview screen and adjust the times.
  22. Are there speed changes in the project and how long is it? What are the export settings? What version of VP is being used? Let's take a look - at your PORTABLE project, not the final export. It's easy, doesn't take long and can be private.
  23. You need to make sure that the TV is seeing the DVD player. Sometimes that requires changing the input. If you can play ANY DVDs on the TV then you already have it configured. That box shows the Windows AutoPlay setting (via Control Panel) for DVDs - in this example telling it to launch MPC-BE when a DVD is inserted. This has nothing to do with burning. No. It's not necessary to create an ISO. An ISO is a DVD image file. Using appropriate software, it can be used to burn a DVD Movie disk. Videopad can burn directly to a DVD. Choose EXPORT | DVD Movie, not DVD Data, In the Burner field, select the drive letter for the DVD recorder.
