  1. Try this release. Even as an unregistered trial it should be fully featured for a short time. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If 10.64 is licensed, try a later release within the six-month from purchase free upgrade period. Chose the 64-bit flavor. Find those versions here. Ignore any virus warnings. Please report back on whether that version succeeded.
  2. If you STOP, and restart, VP will create a new file from the point at which you stopped. Yes. Narration files are shown under the Audio tab. If the recording is stopped, the clip may be automatically placed on the timeline. If not, drag it there. Then drag its right edge to the left to eliminate the unwanted portion. To continue from that point, close the narration box. Click in the timeline and use this button to place the cursor at the end of the existing clip... The next new clip will begin at that point. If it does not, drag it to the timeline. To begin the new clip later, first position the cursor at that point. Narration files on the timeline can be dragged and trimmed, and are also saved by default to the MUSIC folder on the PC.
  3. New topic, as this is a different issue. You can install 10.43 on the new PC, but your project may not load if it was created with a newer VP version. Ignore any virus warnings when downloading. Is the "dark brownish screen" in the preview window, or only after export? Please share the project so it can be analyzed. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. That certainly can be done. One easy way is to use a template (also called a Wizard)... and choose a credit outro... Then type in the credits and select the images.
  5. It's unclear what's meant by "generic." Please be more specific on precisely what you want to accomplish.
  6. The release that you installed may not be 13.61+ 64-bit - the latest as of this date. Give it a go. Unable to replicate the issue here, as mp4 export succeeds. If your next video fails with that release in the same manner, please share the project per the procedure outlined in one of the above posts.
  7. Thanks for the report. But VP should export in all listed formats. Try the latest release if you haven't already installed it. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What format didn't succeed ... and which one did?
  8. Check the Windows mixer, to confirm that the Videopad volume is maximized... This is Windows 11. Your display may be different. Right-click the speaker icon at the bottom-right of the screen. Launch the Volume mixer. In Videopad, make sure the that volume sliders are full and that the clip itself isn't muted.
  9. Preview can be set as you desire... Export has similar choices, including user specified custom resolutions... The POSITION effect (for one) allows dragging of individual clips via the PV screen.
  10. Aspect ratio and rotation can be set by right-clicking the file in the bin (top-left) and choosing the desired option from the preset drop-down menu. Or use an effect, like this one for example... Logos can be added on higher tracks, with each positioned differently - one track with logo on top and another with logo on the bottom...
  11. What version of VP is being used? Share the project and someone will take a look. That's the best way to track down problems.
  12. Thanks for sharing the complete project, which exported without incident here. Between the opening slide and your on-cam video there is a small gap, which can easily be seen in Storyboard mode. Right-click it and delete it. But that should not have affected export. If you have further problems check back in and start a new thread.
  13. The version - 32- or 64-bit - offered on the WEBsite varies. The link supplied above will always fetch the 64, which is capable of taking better advantage of Windows memory. It shouldn't be necessary to have multi sequences in Videopad. Try the method suggested earlier if others fail.
  14. Good to hear. The VPJ is simply a control file that tells the program what to do. Share an actual file or two per the above instruction if you want someone to check it out.
  15. Try right-clicking the launch file and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. The behavior you describe hasn't been reported by others AFAIK. Share a file or two that won't load. Here's how... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  16. What version of Videopad is being used? What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Install this release and report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  17. Why sequences didn't export is curious. Use the 64-bit VP release. It is best for lengthy or complex projects. One way you might go at this is to create a sequence, then export it. Clear the timeline and create another ... and so on. When all sequences are ready, assemble them for the final sequence, then add subs and dates. At each step, Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That's protection, should something go awry.
  18. Thanks for sharing your project. Please see your personal message for the result.
  19. Another approach would be to capture the video with a program like Debut.
  20. Another easy thing to try... Right-click the VP launch file and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Share the file and we'll see how it loads here.
  21. Perhaps a component has been damaged. Close Videopad. Use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to locate these folders and delete all the files that they contain... "C:\Users\<PC Name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" Then reinstall Videopad. Here's the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  22. What is the version #? Look at the left-bottom corner of the Videopad window. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Install this release and report back whether it solves the problem.
  23. Your project upload is incomplete. Only a few stills appear on timeline and this file is missing.. Click to enlarge. If your package exceeded the 5GB One Drive free account capacity it's conceivable that this is the reason that the file didn't upload. Clean out all files and try again. Or use Google Drive, where the free limit is 15GB. Does the project play on the timeline as expected? What version is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the Videopad window. Please try again. Follow the above instructions.
  24. What version is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the Videopad window. Try the LOSSLESS export option and see if the project meets the requirements... Install this release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  25. This is likely to be resolved in the next release (13.60 or later). In the interim, if you would like to install the beta (test) version, go here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
