  1. What Videopad version is being used? Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Try opening OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files, then load a project. This is a good idea prior to beginning a new project. If the issue persists, come back here for more suggestions.
  2. Try the apng route instead. Beyond that it appears that this is just the way it is - for now. Record_2023_10_01_10_44_42_787.mp4 Step the original bin clip (no apng), whether it's been overlaid on the timeline or not, and the increment is .100, as shown below. Stepping the timeline gives varying results, seemingly related to the nature of the video clip. Record_2023_10_01_11_19_50_282.mp4
  3. Perhaps there is a communication disconnect here. Yes, it steps. Can't say whether the numbers are 'wrong.' This video is the middle of a 22-minute clip with stopwatch overlay for its entirety. Even if this had failed to step, exporting the watch (from a blank sequence), then using the apng as the overlay would be quick, and seemingly solve the issue. Record_2023_10_01_09_18_09_403.mp4
  4. How would fixing the frame-step issue eliminate the need to create each stopwatch? In the video above, stepping appears to be working correctly with that object. Tested repeatedly in v13.67. That video wasn't made with a apng overlay.
  5. Perhaps your process is being misunderstood. Exporting all of the overlays, which would have to be created in any case, takes only a few seconds. The substituted apng can then be managed as a typical clip - including frame-stepping. The Stopwatch frame-by-frame action doesn't seem to require this extra step... Record_2023_10_01_08_22_12_226.mp4
  6. http://www.infognition.com/VirtualDubFilters/effects.html Worth a glance, though many won't work, or only partially perform with Videopad.
  7. A workaround that may have functionality for you - utilizing the typewriter effect... In a blank sequence, compose the text, then export as an apng file. Overlay that file in the project. Untitled.mp4 Text then can be frame-stepped, sized, positioned, speed changed as desired. Typewriter_test.mp4
  8. Videopad ограничен выбором эскиза для клипа корзины или созданием снимка клипа. Щелкните правой кнопкой мыши в окне предварительного просмотра корзины.
  9. The problem is caused by a .001 gap. Go to Storyboard mode to see it. Right-click | DELETE. (The icons, which never appear between adjacent clips, should have clued me in.) Various transitions will result in a dip or crossfade between the two clips. If you truly want the FROM clip to fade, and the TO clip to pop on, program a Transparency effect on the FROM clip. Or, prior to programming the fade, expand the timeline almost fully with the slider at the bottom-right. Drag the TO clips to the right just slightly. Now program the FROM clip fade. Glad it worked out.
  10. The project contains some very high res and large files which may cause audio processing to take several minutes to cache. There appears to be a fault in 13.67, which goes to black at about 5:00 in both PV and export, as you noted. Use this release. Ignore any virus warnings.
  11. Hard to say what occurred. Use the 64-bit release, especially if the project is lengthy or complex. Better handling of Windows memory.
  12. There's no mandate to update if all is working well for you. Install this release and see how it does. If no improvement, please share a project that has the issue and someone will check it out. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive, right-click the file and click SHARE. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  13. The amplify effect is working normally in 13.67 here. Prior to loading the project, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Also look under the Media tab to confirm that this box is checked... Older releases are available here. Ignore any virus warnings.
  14. Install this release and see if it's fixed. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  15. Load it with the later release/s, then Save and upload the project.
  16. Let's take a look at the project. Someone will run tests. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 17. At this time (9/27) there's no Windows beta available. The mislabeled entries have been corrected. Release numbers listed may not reflect the actual release #. Right-click and check PROPERTIES | DETAILS.
  18. Use the 64-bit release for large projects, and perhaps break them into smaller, exported projects - to be assembled as the final, later.
  19. But is it the linked 64-bit release, which can better handle complex or lengthy projects? Share the project and we'll check it out. That's the best way to pin down issues like this. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 20. What version of Videopad is being used? Try this one and report back. Ignore any virus warnings.
  21. Upload the project and we might get a clue. An mp4, AVI or other export should always play in any player that accepts those common formats. What player is being used? Never delete source files or folders until the project is no longer needed, or VP won't know where to find the files should you want to reload the project. You likely know that Saving isn't the same as Exporting. Exporting creates an mp4, AVI, etc. that should be playable in most any video player. Saving creates a VPJ file (not playable) that tells the program what to do. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  22. You don't download Google Drive. Just sign in with your Google ID, then upload the numbered VP folder that was saved via the procedure above. In Google, choose upload FOLDER UPLOAD. Then click the UPLOAD button. When the upload completes, right-click the file and click SHARE. Be sure that it doesn't say "restricted." If so, change that to "Anyone With Link Has Access." Odd. It seems that your initial MS download has caused an issue with downloading from the NCH site?? NCH files should not be thwarted. Once we take a look at the project, further recommendations can be made.
  23. What platform - Google Drive? MS OneDrive? There's should be no issue uploaded to those servers, as long as there is enough free space to accommodate your project. As for downloading this release, if you're prompted that it isn't 'safe' just click RUN ANYWAY.
  24. You should be able to ignore that warning. There is no threat in the linked file. Did you purchase VP from Microsoft or from the NCH site? Please share the project for analysis. The process isn't difficult, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps closely and we'll take a look... If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. 25. A refund could certainly be issued. But before resorting to that let's see if the issue can be resolved. Please install this release, then report your results. Mp4 files are handled in the free or trial packages, but export that format may be limited. If mp4 is not available, AVI export should be. In the paid release there should be no export limitations. What happens when you attempt to view the exported file in Windows Media Player or the like?
