  1. Upload the project and we might get a clue. An mp4, AVI or other export should always play in any player that accepts those common formats. What player is being used? Never delete source files or folders until the project is no longer needed, or VP won't know where to find the files should you want to reload the project. You likely know that Saving isn't the same as Exporting. Exporting creates an mp4, AVI, etc. that should be playable in most any video player. Saving creates a VPJ file (not playable) that tells the program what to do. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  2. You don't download Google Drive. Just sign in with your Google ID, then upload the numbered VP folder that was saved via the procedure above. In Google, choose upload FOLDER UPLOAD. Then click the UPLOAD button. When the upload completes, right-click the file and click SHARE. Be sure that it doesn't say "restricted." If so, change that to "Anyone With Link Has Access." Odd. It seems that your initial MS download has caused an issue with downloading from the NCH site?? NCH files should not be thwarted. Once we take a look at the project, further recommendations can be made.
  3. What platform - Google Drive? MS OneDrive? There's should be no issue uploaded to those servers, as long as there is enough free space to accommodate your project. As for downloading this release, if you're prompted that it isn't 'safe' just click RUN ANYWAY.
  4. You should be able to ignore that warning. There is no threat in the linked file. Did you purchase VP from Microsoft or from the NCH site? Please share the project for analysis. The process isn't difficult, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps closely and we'll take a look... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  5. A refund could certainly be issued. But before resorting to that let's see if the issue can be resolved. Please install this release, then report your results. Mp4 files are handled in the free or trial packages, but export that format may be limited. If mp4 is not available, AVI export should be. In the paid release there should be no export limitations. What happens when you attempt to view the exported file in Windows Media Player or the like?
  6. Where did you purchase? From the company's WEBsite? Install this release and see if the nag persists.
  7. Your 'slightly out' file looks good in the MPC-BE viewer but it's out in Videopad preview. It doesn't play smoothly in another editor as well. What downloader was used? Please leave the link up for a few days - for analysis. Specifically, which suggestion from the linked thread did you take to solve the issue?
  8. Install the current 64-bit version, which better utilizes Windows memory for lengthy and complex projects. Get it here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Please check back with your result.
  9. Open OPTIONS | EDITING tab and UNcheck this box... Now delete the trans, then reinstate it. Does that fix it?
  10. Test the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that doesn't succeed, stop by again.
  11. Tested several VOBs here. Some are good, others are not. We'll see what the future brings....
  12. Precisely what was suggested - a capture. A test of that approach played fine in VP. Yes, a DVD image can be created here, but the result is even worse than the original.
  13. Appears that this isn't going to succeed with that method. A workaround until, and if, it's fixed is above. The devs are aware of the issue.
  14. Reported...though this appears to be a non-standard file. In players it's listed as :26 long, with the seek bar unusable beyond that point. Suggest that it be screen captured as an mp4. Crop out the switching pulses at the bottom.
  15. When a project is saved to a VPJ file and is later double-clicked to reload, all files should be visible in the bin (media box) exactly as they were when saved. Be sure that the correct tab is selected - Video Files - Audio Files - or Images. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. There are several trim methods. One is to trim the bin clip. Move the cursor to the start point and SET START. Drag it to the end point and SET END. Then drop it onto the timeline by dragging. Or right-clickthe clip and choose a placement from the context menu. The bin clip remains in the bin, but retains the IN/OUT points. Another method is to first drop the clip onto the timeline, then trim it there. The bin clip will be unaffected - no excision.
  16. As noted above, any version released within the six-month period after purchase should honor your registration. Get them here. Look here for licensing info and support.
  17. "Failed to load" has VP09 encoding and fails in VP. In another editor it's audio only. The other file loads in both editors. Suggest that you grab the file with a downloader that supports AVC encoding.
  18. When you say "software' are you referring to files downloaded from the Net, which then won't open in Videopad? Do they open in Windows Media Player or other viewer? Upload one of these files to a free server, such as MS OneDrive or Google Drive, get a shared public (anyone can view) link and paste that here. Someone will check it out.
  19. Select both audio and video tracks and they should move in concert when one is dragged. But to be certain... Group them. Select both, then right-click on either one and GROUP SELECTED CLIPS.
  20. That example was with still images. With video using crossfade on a single track, you may get a result like this (the 'boy' IS a video)... Untitled.mp4
  21. That's the way it works. But, per your thought, programming like this... will result in this... Untitled.mp4
  22. And <ctrl-A> selects everything. Then <ctrl> can be held down while left-clicking a single clip, to DEselect it.
  23. It appears that the most recent 12.11 was released in Oct. '22. Ask the company here. A chat feature may be available. Here is 13.66 for Mac OS X beta. As this is a test version, the usual caveats apply. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  24. But of course - it's a standard Windows operation. Click the first clip, hold down <shift>, click the last. All clips in that range will be selected. Holding down <ctrl> will select multiple individual clips.
