  1. Thanks for checking. This will be reported. Please leave your file link up for several days. Though your PC is new, check for an updated video driver and confirm that Direct-X is up to date... Intel users: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx Update DirectX: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113
  2. Using 13.67 (64-bit), can't replicate that. Try this slightly older release and let us know. Ignore any virus warnings. This hints at a video adapter incompatibility. What are those PC specs?
  3. Three MOVs here loaded normally in v13.67. Try this 64-bit release. If no change, go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab and in the GPU Video Processor section at the bottom change to None (CPU Only). What are your PC's specs: GPU|CPU|RAM? Did either of the above suggestions solve the issue? If not, please let us see a MOV file or two that demonstrates the problem... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, right-click|Share, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  4. Does EXPORT also freeze? Switch to Storyboard mode... Scroll the timeline. If there are very small black gaps, right-click each and CLOSE GAP. In turn, try each of the suggestions in this thread. Though they may seem to be unrelated, they just might be. If no joy, be aware that a number of issues can cause this. To track it down, let others take a look. Share your project, either here or privately. The process is easy - just follow these steps closely... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive, right-click the file and click SHARE. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  5. Open OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and UNcheck this box...
  6. No need to back up. Just run the installer for any version. Those that are within the six-month post licensing window should be automatically registered. 11.20 (64) isn't listed at the Old Versions site, but 11.22 64-bit is - for Windows. Use the link above to download it.
  7. The release notes won't be very enlightening. Assuming you're running Windows, install the latest (64-bit) to check out during the trial period. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Look here for the latest 64-bit release that falls within your licensing period, or install the 11.22 (64) version. Ignore any virus warnings. Your license should be good.
  8. Looks just fine here, using v13.67 and exported at suggested default settings. If you have gone through all the suggestions above, you might try a clean reinstall. Close Videopad Then use this free utility to uninstall. Allow it to scan registry entries, select and delete them all. Then reinstall VP. If that still fails to resolve the issue try another PC, if available.

    Beat markers

    Beat markers

Beat markers are available in the closely integrated WavePad. Check it out. Beat Detection Automatic Beat Detection is used to identify the best sample position of the repetitive beat pattern found in an audio file, the final beats are determined via a search of all possible combinations of phase and frequency to find maximum correlation between theoretical beats and observed. The detected beats are shown using dashed lines on samples in orange color. Right click on a beat marker and select Delete to delete it. Note: This process can be lengthy, as the audio file is broken down into 5 sub-bands with abrupt amplitude changes detected for each as an indication of a possible beat.
  12. Experiment with the SPOTLIGHT and VIGNETTE effects. Another approach would be to create a polygon mask with transparency on the clip... Click to enlarge. Then place it on track two over a blank track one or add a background to track one. The result would be something like this... Untitled.mp4 The shape can be refined by increasing the number of points.
  13. Let's take a look at the project, as instructed above in the Monday 3:23 post. And, if you have access, try another PC with the latest release. Issues like this can be caused by editing errors, occasional software bugs or even hardware incompatibility. Folks here will be glad to work with you. Just share the project for analysis. It can be private. That's the best way to pin down problems.
  14. See this thread for other suggestions... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/59641-cant-upload-contrast-adjusted-mp4-to-x/ Check back there for more hints if the issue isn't resolved.
  15. The h264 codec does fine after adding effects. There's something amiss locally. Do try another PC if you can. Tests here used both the MOV and mp4 formats - each with h264. Here's something else you can try. Close Videopad, then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these two folders... "C:\Users\<PC Name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" - or similar path minus the (x86) Now reinstall the version of VP linked above.
  16. Not being familiar with 'X' uploads, can't say why it's rejected. Typical mp4 clips should be accepted, IMO. Confirm whether the export plays correctly in Windows Meia Player or other viewer? If so, that hints at a possible 'X' issue. If not, try another PC, if available. And, just as an experiment, install this Videopad slightly older release. Ignore any virus warnings.
  17. Using the linked release, the export in either mp4 or MOV formats is normal here. Suggested default settings were used. Try this. Restart Videopad and before loading the project go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. That's wise prior to beginning a new project. If that makes no difference, open OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab and at the bottom, choose None (GPU only).. . Please report your results.
  18. Okay. Next step, so we can analyze the problem. Share the project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. Be sure that the contrast effect is included on the timeline clip.
  19. What version? Look at the left-bottom corner of the Videopad window. Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If no change, come back here.
  20. Select the clips on both tracks, then right-click and Group Selected Clips. Record_2023_10_08_18_26_03_283.mp4
  21. Don't lock. Group instead. Select the clips that are to be moved in concert, then right-click one of the tracks and GROUP SELECTED CLIPS. To select all clips on a track, click the first clip, hold down <shift> and click the last. To multi-select individual clips, click the first, hold down <ctrl> and then select others one-by-one.
  22. These files appear to be still missing. You may need to purchase additional storage space for large files.
  23. Better. In this download the files listed below are missing and these mp4s have no data... Supply those files for further analysis. The first minute of your project exports normally - using various codecs and quality settings. You may have run out of drive space. Delete some content and send the missing files in a new folder.
  24. Share the five minutes and we'll check it out. Just follow the procedure above. Takes patience, but most issues can be solved.
  25. Share the project and someone will check it out. That usually works in solving issues, which may be caused by errors in editing, the software itself, or even hardware. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps...
