  1. The "overwrite the file" warning does persist, though the box cannot be checked, so there's no functional fault. Click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window to file a bug. If a source file name is used, the program will refuse to overwrite. That's as it should be. Unable to replicate the cursor jump within the selected area. And when button is held down the frame advance/retard works smoothly. Haven't spotted an issue with PV blanking. Please share a screenshot, video or the project itself if it persists. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. This should be fixed in the latest version. Give it a try.
  3. The <ctrl-HOME> fault is fixed in this release.
  4. Try AUTO FIX, perhaps in addition to a slight sharpening. That's about all that can be done in Videopad when resolution is poor in the original.
  5. Add just a little sharpening. Click the FX icon on the clip to open the video effects window.
  6. Let's see what you're dealing with... Share a clip or two that has the issue. Someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  7. There's only so much video. If it's stretched with a speed change, the content will become slower. Instead, loop several copies of the same clip at normal speed (place one after the other) and see if that does the job.
  8. Note the posting date on this dated thread from 2011. Many changes have been made since then.
  9. See if either of these does what you want. Use the Crop to Aspect Ratio effect with 16:9 preset on each clip.... Or export with Crop and Zoom...
  10. Please upload a 'bad' file - privately via Personal Message if you wish - so it can be checked.
  11. Upload and share so we can have a look and analyze the problem. Thanks.
  12. What version of Videopad is being used there? Sync issues mentioned in the past are diverse and many have been corrected. Please share your file for analysis. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." To restore sync convert the file with this free utility, then load the result into VP. It's a quick extra step but should take care of the problem.
  13. Do they stutter in preview, or after export? What version of VP is being used? Look at the left-bottom corner of the VP window. Let's have a look at one or two of the 22kHz files. That's the only way to get to the root of the issue.
  14. There has been no change that would cause 10.96 or any other VP version's exports to not play in WMP. Upload and share a file or project that, after export, doesn't play. Comparative export results... Loaded a 821MB file, clicked on EXPORT, then LOSSLESS on the toolbar. The result was a 826MB file. When re-encoded at default mp4 settings: 433MB. Settings options affect re-encoded file size, of course.
  15. A bug report has been filed on the HOME button issue. Thanks. What you seem to be reporting is that program is not responding. Rarely seen here. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, when starting a new project Clear Unused Cache Files. Do the same occasionally while editing.
  16. Specifically, what bugs? The latest 64-bit version can be found here. Older releases are here. For now, suggest that you stick with this version. There's no mandate to update if what's currently installed is doing the job. Within six-months of purchase, upgrades are free. Newest releases can always be test driven, even if unlicensed. Retain your old installer and registration.
  17. Normalize is applied to clips - individually, or cumulatively as stated above - not to tracks. There's an OPTIONS | MEDIA tab setting in some versions that when enabled will normalize clips as they are imported.
  18. Effect audio normalizing is applied independently. It can be added to multiple selected clips via the Replace Chain button ZOOM works well. Create a zoom start by dragging preview handles or the sliders. Then click the small green + icon, to set the first keyframe. Move the slider to where you want the zoom to end and adjust the zoom size. A keyframe should automatically be set. Follow Nat's instructions, above. Record_2021_12_02_15_04_05_912.mp4
  19. Check posting dates. You have latched onto a five-year old thread. Much has changed since then.
  20. https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10288.html Individual file sizes should not be changed. There's little more we can do to track down the issue until you share you project as instructed above. And, again, does it play on the Videopad timeline? Or is it missing strictly after export, in WMP or other player? If the latter, a codec may be missing. Did you testl this player to see if your exported project plays.
  21. Humm, that's interesting. There is a subtle slip - just milliseconds - but it escapes me when viewing the linked HQ video with MPC-BE. The default quality settings don't seem to produce that offset, which is being investigated. Thanks for passing along the info.
  22. Though it seemingly was in sync here, the developer has checked in to confirm there is indeed a subtle slip. Too subtle for me?😗 A bug has been filed. Watch my export in the PM message and see what you think. Test exporting at default quality (lower the file size) and report results.
  23. This is not a Videopad fault. All VP versions export standard file formats that play fine in WMP. Hints at a WMP codec issue. Look here... https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-windows-media-player-81718e0d-cfce-25b1-aee3-94596b658287
