  1. Click on the two-headed arrow at the right-bottom of the window to view the entire timeline... or expand/contract with the slider. You can also use the buttons under the preview window to jump to the start or end of the timeline. To quickly scroll to beginning or end or the timeline, hold down both <shift> and the right or left arrow keys.
  2. To select a range of clips select the first with the left mouse button...then hold down <ctrl> and select the last. That's a standard Windows routine. This works for clips either in the bin or on the timeline.
  3. First, drop the music onto the audio track. Then add slides. To match the beat, adjust the length of each image by dragging its handles... To change the length of multiple images, first select (highlight) them, then right-click and Change Duration. Type the new duration into the box. Left-click the video track or press <enter>. The NCH PhotoStage program is designed for making slideshows. Check it out for free.
  4. Clean up manually before beginning a new project or, for files not currently in use, at anytime during editing. OPTIONS | DISK tab. Clean Unused Cache Files. Some years ago there was an option to clean cache on closing, but it was superseded by .
  5. A search leads to this link. There may be others.
  6. Glad it worked out. Or use the other version, linked above, and choose LOSSLESS. Export will be faster. Fixed in this version.
  7. The two programs are closely related and you can test drive Wavepad prior to purchase. In many (not all) cases, a right-click on the audio clip offers the option to EDIT IN WAVEPAD. Click on it and WP opens. When editing is complete click the red X at the top-right and answer SAVE to the prompts. The edited audio file will be placed on the timeline in Videopad. UNlink A/V on the clip, if necessary, and drag the video to match the new audio. Then delete the old audio.
  8. There's a bug in the 11.0x series with LOSSLESS video that has been reported. Suggest using this version, and choosing LOSSLESS from the toolbar. Or with the latest release in the export dialog box click the blue Default Quality/Filesize link. Choose OFF (re-encode). Please leave your link to the project intact for several days so the developers can access it. Thanks.
  9. What version is being used? Look at the left-bottom corner of the VP window or the start-up screen. Here's the latest. Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  10. Good to hear. The NORMALIZE feature is still under scrutiny. We'll pass your info along. Thanks.
  11. Did you first transfer the file from the Funai, resulting in a VOB that plays in a media player ... but won't play in Videopad? No way to tell unless we can see that file. If uncomfortable with Google Drive try MS OneDrive or another cloud service. As mentioned, you can submit privately; no one else will see the content.
  12. That issue should have nothing to do with registration. Install the latest version, registered or not, to test. What is your 'recorder' and how, exactly, are you transferring its content to Videopad? Please share the recorder file that has audio. It's easy, and can be done privately. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  13. You've unearthed an 11.0x bug. As Nat notes, levels should save - as they do in the 10.x series. Please leave your link up over the holiday weekend, so it can be accessed by the developers. In the interim, use the COLOR CURVES effect instead. It seems to be tracking well. Or install this version.
  14. Let's take a look at the project. That's the only way folks can replicate what you see. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  15. You can't. Just swipe (highlight) it, and press the DEL key. Or, once selected, when you begin typing something else it will vanish.
  16. Strange. Close the program. Use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all the files in these two folders... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" or similar folder without the (86) "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Then install the latest VP version. If this doesn't fix it, let's take a look at a few of those files. This can be private. See the instructions above.
  17. The version you have is listed at the left-bottom of the VP window and on the start-up screen. The latest release is here. Download it, then double-click to install. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the issue isn't solved, please share the mp3 so someone can take a look. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  18. Drag them to anywhere along the timeline. If necessary, use the chevron to the right of the SPLIT button beneath the preview window to split only the selected audio track... You can also size a clip by dragging the [ or ] handle that appears when mousing over the clip's edge. If the clips are linked to video (and don't need to be in sync), right-click on each and UNlink. If you make a mistake, press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack - edit by edit. Record_2021_12_18_21_12_57_351.mp4
  19. Another approach - begin the transition earlier and/or make it shorter. Don't think that you will get around the fact that there's no still video to cover the dissolve, unless it's appended. That procedure is not difficult. Here's a two-clip example. You want to eliminate the birds, and transition from the end of the Koala to the dog. Split the clip at the end of the Koala scene. Right-click in the PV window and take a snapshot of the sequence. Right-click the snapshot in the bin and Place on Timeline at Cursor Position. Select the unwanted birds clip, right-click and Delete (ripple). Zoom the timeline if if necessary... Drag the snapshot clip end handle and note the duration pop up. Allow ample time to accommodate the transition length. Apply the transition. transition.mp4
  20. Default settings are usually fine. What VP version is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If this doesn't fix it, share your project so others can analyze it. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps carefully...
  21. Checked out a few VOB files in 11.08 here. No issues. Under OPTIONS | MEDIA tab, UNcheck the box that reads and see if that helps. Let's have a look at one of your files that won't load. That's the only way we can see what you see. Please list your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM.
  22. There are no silly questions ... just a learning curve.😄 You can specify where you want the images saved - OPTIONS | DISK tab.
  23. Don't believe the install location can be changed, but the cache folder can. Look under OPTIONS | DISK tab and point it to your D drive.
  24. It is saved. Take a look in your Pictures folder, using Windows Explorer (the file manager).
  25. There's no option to save a snap as a PNG, but that file should work just as well as a JPG in most cases. It can easily be converted with any number of image viewers or conversion utilities.
