  1. Hi Nat, Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good idea.
  2. Hi, I think the latest version would solve your problem. Also, what Windows are your running? I remember the bug we've fixed only happen on Win7.
  3. Hi Ivan, I can't reproduce the bug. Could you try replicate it in a small project and share it to us?
  4. Can you please try the current version (6.10).
  5. @stebbinsd It sounds like a bug we fixed sometime ago. Which version are you using?
  6. It seems like there is a problem with the codec (or lossless trans-coding if applied). Which codec did you used for export avi (default is h264)? I think mkv uses h264 as well but not by default. It would be great if you can share the files.
  7. The "Apply to All" button does add the effect to all selected clips with the default parameters. However the default parameters of some effects like crop, rotate just do nothing - the effect is added though. The problem is that we can't really apply user edited effect(s) by "Apply to All" button.
  8. @Vitaly Rubin Could you just shared the project(.VPJ) file? We should be able to reproduce it if the problem is not coming from the meida files. Also, please let us know if you've changed codec settings other than the default one.
  9. Hi Nat, Thanks for the info. It would be great if you can remove other clips and left a few clips in the project that replicates the issue.
  10. I guess borate's project is smaller. Please share the project file to us. We'll have a closer look.
  11. The transition section will use output (preview or export) frame rate. Have you tried change your preview frame rate to 25fps? When covert between different frame rate, it''s unavoidable to drop or duplicate frames.
  12. Did you tried it on 6.20? I couldn't reproduce it. Could you tell me the steps?
  13. Hi Nat, I can't reproduce the problem but please keep an eye and let me know if see it again.
  14. I've tried the result looks good to me: You do need to make sure the source image and output are at exact same resolution. The blurring could be introduced by stretching the image. Also are you using the latest version of VideoPad?
  15. For now, we can do this to rotating from 10 to 350 degrees counterclockwise: Add first key frame at the beginning. Add a key frame at the middle of the rotation animation (when it should be 0 degree) Add another key frame next to the middle key frame. Move the key frame toward the middle key frame until two key frames at the same time position. Add the last key frame at the end. Set the rotation angle for the four key frames: 10 -> 0 -> 360 -> 350
  16. Hi Nat, Could you please post a screen shot that shows the difference?
  17. Most of the video compression methods are loosy. They also designed for motions so are especially bad for small text that sit still. Try open "Advanced Encoder Options" and choose high quality settings when you export.
  18. Thanks for report this. I think we need rotation angle in the range of -360 to 360 degrees instead of 0 to 360. I.e. to rotate 20 degrees counterclockwise, you can rotation from 10 to -10.
  19. Hi Ivan, This happen if the audio has only one channel (i.e. mono). It's already been fixed for the next version so it would duplicate the channel when convert to stereo.

Hi, Nat's sample files used negative number as time stamp at the first 7 seconds or so. That's why they get discarded (VideoPad start read from 0 time stamp). We are doing some experiment see if we can add support to negative time stamp. This looks like a different issue. Is it possible to upload the mkv file (on Google Drive etc.) and share it here?
  21. I think it's a bug that first time switching to storyboard, red cursor is reset to beginning. Yes, we can center at the red cursor when switched to storyboard mode. Or we can keep the red cursor stay at same position of the screen, so you don't have to move focus at all. Which way you think is better? I think save timeline position into project file is a good idea. We'll consider (see if it conflict with other features and backward compatibility issues). Thanks for the suggestion.

Same here... We are investigating the issue. I'll report back here if we found something.
  23. Hi Nat, When create transitions, VP will check if there is enough materiel outside in/out point. If yes, it will just extent the in/out point to create overlapping section. Otherwise, typically when there is nothing outside in/out point, VP will shift the clips on the right to create the overlapping section. In this case frames will change their position on the timeline. The same logic applied to removing transitions. When removing transitions, we will move the in/out point to remove the overlapping area instead of moving the clip. We don't provide option to move clip when removing transitions. That's because keep the video frames stay on the time position seems like a safer option. For example if you already syncing with the audio track, you really don't want the frames move their position when you editing transitions. You can always restore the original clip length by move the in/out point in clip preview.
