You are really helping me out and I hope I'm not abusing the privilege.

That's the purpose of this forum - users sharing.

After export, the audio and video won't be linked in the sense that your original clip had audio married to video, but they will be just as they were when viewed on the timeline.

Assuming that there is but one clip in the sequence, slow it by right-clicking it on the timeline.  Then CHANGE CLIP SPEED.  Tested a decrease of 15% here and it worked fine.

  2. Correct.  Unlink the original audio and mute or delete it.

Drop the new audio onto an audio track.

If the sync isn't quite right, drag the video or audio track to the right to line it up.

  3. If your procedure is being followed accurately here, the problem isn't evident.  However, the developers are actively working on improving the speed effect.

Dropped the clip to the timeline.  Split it.  Sped up the latter half.  Only that half was affected.

  4. There is a six-month window for free upgrades.  There's no expiration on the version that your purchased.  You may be able to install and register a later version - released within the window - but that's not necessary.

Reinstall your original version and input the code.  The installer should be located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad".

If you cannot locate it, post again with the version #.

  5. No play issue on the PC at the settings you specified.  But, of course, it cannot be tested here on your standalone player.  That said, using those same settings the video file was burned to a CD and looked fine on a 51" screen driven by a Blu-Ray standalone player.

Suggest that you instead output an H264, Mp4 at 60fps variable, 1920 x 1080  which most closely matches the source file.  You might also export try 30fps constant or 60fps constant.

    Report your results here.

  6. Load your project onto the timeline.

Click FILE|SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT (to a convenient folder on the PC)

Upload the resultant folder or all its files to a free server, such as Microsoft OneDrive.  http://onedrive.com. Create an account if you do not already have one.

Once the file  thumbnail shows a green check mark,  right-click the file and click SHARE A ONEDRIVE LINK.

    Paste that link here.

  7. If there are to be video clips that have unwanted audio, right-click them on the timeline and UNLINK.  Then delete the audio clips.

In the example below an song has been placed on the audio track.  The track can be locked with the lock icon at its left.  Once that's done, no video edits will affect it.

Note the three video clips on track one.  Because there are gaps between them, each has an f symbol and an X symbol.  To fade in a clip, click the f and set the duration.  To fade it out, click the X, choose FADE and set duration.

If the clips are contiguous (no gaps), only the first will have an f, to fade it in.  For subsequent clips, use the X and choose FADE, CROSSFADE or another transition.

If the video clips are to be seen over a background, place the background material on track 1.  If fades are desired, the inserted clips on track two can be handled as described above.  Wherever they are placed on track two, they will be seen in place of the background or, in the case of text, superimposed because higher tracks overlay (take precedence) over lower tracks.  Check out the many VP tutorials here.
