  1. Please upload and share one or two of the files that are in sync with your media player but out of sync when loaded into Videopad.  Use Google Drive, MSOneDrive or the like.

Also, if feasible, upload the project that you exported as a new Mp4 file and paste the link here.  NOT the result, but the portable project file/s.

Here are instructions on how it's done...  http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/

    Someone will check things out.

  2. Check whether...

    1.  The clip is muted or its volume is turned down.  Click the little speaker icon at the bottom of the clip itself.

    2.  The track is muted.  Verify that there is no red X in the speaker icon that's to the left of the audio track.

    3.  The PC's audio for VP is turned down.  In Windows, right-click the speaker icon in the notification area - right-hand side of the taskbar - and Open Volume Mixer.  Use the horizontal scrollbar to see the Videopad slider.

If none of these measures succeeds, please upload your clip.  Let's check it out.  Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/

No need to upload the project - just the clip.  Be sure to share it.

  3. Video editing is resource intensive;  a gaming-capable PC produces best results.  That said, try these measures...

Reduce VP preview resolution.  (Right-click in the preview window)

Allow the green line above the timeline to complete before previewing.

Toggle the Hardware Accelerated Video item under OPTIONS|EDITING, to see if that makes a difference.

If file sizes are large, employ proxy editing.  For details see the 'sticky' post at the top of this forum.

    Close all other apps/programs.

Use the latest VP version.  (If your current version is registered, retain its installer.)

Upload your project and link it here if you'd like someone to check it out.  Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/

  4. Place the PP presentation on track one.  Overlay the presenter's image on track 2.

Click the fx button in the track 2 image clip and use the CROP|POSTION|SCALE effects to size and place it where you want it.

The background and insert should both be shown in CLIP preview mode.   Set the VIEW drop-down menu (under the preview window) set to CLIP AND BACKGROUND.

  5. In your audio samples, digital noise was evident at the transitions.   Not on the final product, however.  Your project had two blank clips at the end when viewed in Storybook mode.  It's not obvious why.

Reworking the project, each file was placed on the timeline by itself (no others).  Viewed in Storyboard mode, each had a .01 blank clip at its head.

When all three were dropped onto the timeline there was no blank between them, but instead a lengthy blank at the head.  That was removed, using the f button to specify a zero duration fade.

With overlap mode the default, circle wipes were programmed at each transition.  The wipes are seamless and no digital noise can be heard.

    Click

  6. You can test whether other export formats will succeed.  Try AVI or mpg, for starters.  Note the various encoder options in each.

VP 'free' is a trial that disables some features after a period of time.  To get them back, purchase and register.  A 50% discount is reportedly in effect.

  7. Odd.  The thread you referenced is several years old and many improvements have been made since then.  Here is the latest version.  Save your project, for protection.

The program can be installed over the old.  However, if you want to rid the PC of most all traces prior to a new install, use this tool.  Take care to not delete anything that isn't VP related.
