  1. Humm... but would the resulting video text export be an SRT file, compliant with YT's captioning standards?
  2. Sure it is. Once the ST is selected, by clicking on its text, use the |< and >| buttons under the preview window.
  3. It's possible to invoke two incidents of Pan & Zoom on a single clip but the interaction may prove to be less than ideal. To span clips with a single effect... Select the desired clips, then press <ctrl-C> to copy them. Open a new sequence by clicking the + sign on the Seq 1 tab above the timeline and press <ctrl-V> to paste. Note that audio won't display, but it's there. Click the focus back to the timeline Seq 1 tab and place the cursor where you want the clips to appear. Click the SEQUENCES tab in the bin (top-left), then right-click on Seq 2 and PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. Now you can apply the P & Z to this single clip composited clip. Your method of importing a single clip, then splitting it, should also succeed. There will be an FX on each newly split-out clip.
  4. if a scene is chosen while in sequence preview mode and then the subtitle window is invoked ... no, the ST window will not track that position. In ST mode, click on a text entry and the screen and timeline will jump to that scene. Then it can be altered. Drag the cursor and click SET START or SET END or drag the red (left) and blue (right) brackets. Record_2020_07_01_12_45_55_834.mp4
  5. Exported it once again at Nat's settings and agree that nothing seems amiss. You programmed no fades for the two shots that gave you problems but even when cross fades were added here the export remained clean.
  6. My hearing may be lacking, but the VP export played locally sounds solid - no severe artifacts.
  7. That you are using the same v8.45 release as before hints that an export quality or bitrate setting may have been changed? The developers are working on making estimates more accurate.
  8. Suggest that you install this version in lieu of 8.56, which has a recently discovered issue that will be corrected in the next release. This file is missing. Please upload it.
  9. 3024 x 4032 and they are the only two clips in the project at that res.
  10. What version? What's the resolution of the bulk of the source files? What are your PC's specs: CPU, GPU, RAM, free space on C:\? Try this VP version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. THE best way to quickly track this down is for you to share it. Takes little time and can be private. Have your second project fully on the timeline. FILE | SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS per the instructions here. Don't upload the exported video. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted. Someone will check it out.
  11. What are the export settings? What version of VP is being used? Try version 845 . For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. At 1:15 in your #7 isn't blurry, it's bizarre. Unable to replicate your result. When your project is exported at default mp4, H264, 1080 settings in version 8.45 it looks fine. The only fault spotted was a slight flicker in the pull-out shot at 1:50. If the issue persists, try exporting in AVI format, using the MPEG4 compressor.
  12. Did you download the export from the link above? How did it sound? There are numerous export audio bitrate/quality options. Made changes to effects on various tracks, which did prompt re-caching, but buffering was rare and playback smooth overall. Mp4 H264 export at the defaults took 3 minutes. Your PC specs are adequate, so if results are sluggish then something isn't right. Have your installer on hand, or download this version. Close VP, then use Windows Explorer (file manager) to delete all files in the following folders... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components". Or this may be in "C\Program Files\NCH Software\Components". "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Install Videopad. This may not help, but it won't hurt. Also consider unlinking and deleting audio tracks that are not being used. Verify that video drivers and Direct-X are up to date. 13. Right-clicked the file in the bin and stabilized the video at default settings with the H264 encoder using release 8.20. Took about ten minutes. Then ran a second pass in version 8.45 with MPEG4. Both succeeded without errors. Suggest installing this version for the time being. If it fails, please report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  14. You should have been sent a # if you purchased on line. If not, go here... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10206.html
  15. Best to begin a new descriptive topic. You mention that this began with 7.32. What version is being used now? Try this For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the issue persists, please upload the PORTALBE project (not the export). Someone will check it out. This is easy, quick and can be private. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  16. Fine, if that works for you. Simply resaving the mp3 in WavePad produces a file that plays fully in Videopad. The developers are aware of these issues and should provide a fix soon.
  17. OK, it's evident now that there are two issues. 1. Missing audio if the VPJ project is launched in version 8.56. 2. Truncated audio in most every version tested cuts off part of "7.218" at the end.
  18. Your short test mp3 plays fine here in v8.45, linked above, whether the file is added after VP is running or the project is loaded via the VPJ file. The waveform is visible as well.
  19. Not a hitch, after about two minutes of caching.
  20. What version is being used? If you have purchased within the past six months, use this version. Do not use v8.56. Dropping sequences into sequences occasionally is useful, but the content of the initial sequence and the target are both in memory. To confirm this, drop Seq 1 into Seq 2, then attempt to delete Seq 1. It's best to go with Nat's method of exporting, then reimporting what is basically a new clip with transitions and effects composited. That cuts down on processing. This may all be moot when VP 64-bit is released, increasing program memory. No date for that, but it's being worked on diligently. Your project played and exported fine as an mp4 at the 1280 x 720 45fps suggested settings on an I7 PC utilizing 32GB RAM and a midrange video card.
  21. If you upload your incomplete project someone here will check out how it runs on their hardware and perhaps make suggestions. The process is easy, quick and can be private. Don't upload the export - just the PORTABLE PROJECT, as instructed here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  22. Nothing to show. Something is not right and it has been reported. Use this version temporarily, but retain your installer and license key, if any. Should work.
  23. Confirmed... Load the Mp3 alone and it's fine. Load the VPJ project file that houses the Mp3 and there's no waveform. Audio plays only once on the sequence. Reported.
  24. While editing, close other programs. Under OPTIONS | EDITING toggle "use hardware acceleration' to see if that has any effect. Under OPTIONS | DISK, Clear Unused Cache Files. Yes, try not to utilize multiple sequences, relying instead on Nat's suggestions. If files are large very high resolution, consider using proxies.
