  1. Good enough. Don't send the exported file, and be sure if using Google to make it "anyone can view."
  2. Your Pinnacle 23 file displays as 4:3 in a viewer and in Videopad, and lists a 720x480 resolution. The mp4 res is the same, but it's 3:2 in the viewer and VP.
  3. If this is a simple ZOOM-output to an mp4 file, you don't need to submit a project - just the file. No need to use the 'back up project to folder' routine. Just upload to a free server, get a link and post it here.
  4. We don't need the export. If you see the issue when loading the file into VP, then the file itself is all that's needed. Older VP versions are available here.
  5. It's news that the distortion displays in preview, and not just after export. Were there any configurable settings in the ZOOM app? If so, which did you specify? Please upload the project or, the file, if that's all it is. Use a free server such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive. Get a shareable (public) link and post it here or to me in a private message via the envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. If using Google Drive be sure to make it "anyone with link can view." We'll check it out.
  6. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? How was the ZOOM session captured initially? Was a specific app used, or Zoom itself? Did you test the suggestions above with 10.52? Turn off "lossless" Output at 40000kbps
  7. If it makes no reference to 64-bit then it's the 32. Verify that the PC's video driver and Direct-X (Windows) are up to date... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html Drop by again if issues persist and mention PC specs: CPU/GPU/RAM
  8. Good approach. You might also test Pan & Zoom, setting A/R to 16:9, then sizing the start and end boxes.
  9. Test it. Here, following that method deletes ONLY unused clips. Don't click DELETE, click CANCEL, after checking the box.
  10. With the focus on the bin, press <ctrl-A> to copy all. Press the <del> key or right-click on a selected clip and DELETE. A prompt appears. Check the "do the same" box, then click CANCEL. If you make a mistake, press <ctrl-Z> or EDIT | UNDO.
  11. https://www.nchsoftware.com/beta/vpsetup.exe AFAIK, there are no beta notifications, but you can check routinely. Keep in mind that they may have undiscovered issues. The version # shown is not necessarily what's on the server; it's often a placeholder. NCH Software - Beta Prerelease Versions
  12. Resolved via Personal Messenger.
  13. Working as before in version 10.52 beta.
  14. No question is silly. Higher numbered video tracks override lower, so if the speaker is on video and audio tracks 1, then an image placed on video track two will be seen instead. That's the simplest approach. Dissolves from the speaker to the video inserts can also be programmed... In this example a fade transition has been added to the beginning and end of the 'face' graphic on track two, by using the f icons at the head and end of that clip The graphic is a transparent PNG, so the lower track is still visible in the background. That's how superimpositions, such as text overlays, are composed. If the track two content were not transparent and the same resolution as track 1, then it would fully obscure track 1. 15. Thanks for the follow up. Be sure that you are using the 64-bit release. There were no hang ups or lags, once all files had been cached. This can take some time. It's wise to clear the cache prior to starting a new project. And it can be cleared on unused files at anytime during the edit. Upload the final for analysis if you have the time. Someone will text an export.
  16. So that was a direct ZOOM capture - from that app - without the need for another application? Please turn off lossless, by clicking the blue Default Quality / Filesize link... Then in the Video Quality/Bitrate field, try exporting the file at 40000 kbps and see if the artifacts remain.
  17. Someone has a theory on why you, but not several other users, are seeing the artifacts. Your stats will prove helpful in sorting it out. Was the Zoom session captured to MP4 file ? Captured with VideoPad or another app? What app? What video card? Submit the entire project, via the above instructions, if you need it exported. We'll send you a link.
  18. A great approach that allows editing flexibility while protecting each segment of the project. When final assembly is complete Save AS once again, with a unique # or name.
  19. Using v10.49 (64), and given time for the files to fully cache (completed green lines above the thumbnails), all clips loaded here. See the PM. Only eight files were used in the project, so suggest that the others not be loaded into the bin. That will speed the process.
  20. Thanks for the stats, which were overlooked when you listed them earlier. Clips in the well organized bin folders should not move or change. You say that you are running 10.47. That likely was a 32-bit version that ran out of memory. Install this 64-bit release, which is more capable for sizable projects. No crashes here, but it appears that the effort isn't quite complete - with some video and audio holes. For export, lower resolution to 1920x1080 at the highest, or perhaps 1024x576 Wide or 1280x720. This will shorten export time. No need for Ultra High Def 3840x2160. What's shown in the box is but a suggestion, based on the resolution of some content. Again, it's not clear how you 'grouped' but there should be no issue placing clips on the timeline though that can affect the placement of other clips in certain circumstances. Carry on with the version linked above and be sure to SAVE AS routinely. Let us know.
  21. Can't say for certain without seeing the project, but using 'grouping' in that manner may have caused the issue. You might instead consign each category to a single track. And those PC stats and the video driver/Direct-X status? If possible, please link the project upload folder here.
  22. Once a track is in place - say, your photos in this case - lock the track by right-click in the area to its left. VP should not randomly shuffle content. When you say the categories were 'grouped' - in exactly what manner? Did you place each on a separate track? Again, please list the PC specs: CPU/GPU/RAM. Did you confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date, per the link above? At each critical step Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you can always restore the project to the state it was in when the VPJ file was created. Just double-click that file.
  23. No problem with that file in the latest VP releases. This was a file that has NO audio? Again, what version is being used? Download the entire project folder for analysis, please. Follow these simple steps closely... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
