  1. When you load a vox file into WavePad, it prompts you for the codec settings. If you want to have the orginal audio quality, you need to select the same codec settings that was used when recording the vox files.

  2. We will take this into consideration in next future release. Perhaps you should use RecordPad Sound Recorder to record files. This program allows you to hide Restart button so you will not have this problem anymore. You can download it at nch.com.au/recordpad

  3. Click Record to open the Record Control Window.

Click on the button Advanced Record Options and you should see the option in this window

How do I untick the voice activated recording option?? :(

Generally they are excellent to work with and so easy to use. :)

I have Wavepad Masters Edition and Record Pad Sound Recorder and find that when I record some voices with low sounding intro it gets missed in recording, and often endings cut short of the full words spoken.

I have the setting at -40db and still have problems, but its not a criticism of the software but I do need to create  high and low sounds for expression.

  4. The upper window displays the wave form of the audio file always in its full length - it is useful for knowing where you are in the file. The lower window shows the wave form of the audio based on the zoom level. They are not the left and right channels.
