  1. hi, the red/green level in the VU meter is used to represent the loudness of the recording source. When it is over 0db then the level will be changed to red. We usually recommend our customers to use the record volume of -30db.

  2. Hi,

The answer to your question depends on your source file:

    1) Your original mp3 file is created by WavePad

If you use the option Save then the quality of the file will remain the same. But if you use the option Save As then it will depends on the Mp3 settings that you select.

    2) Your original mp3 file is created by other programs

The quality of the file may be changed even you use Save option (but for the first time you save it only, after that it should be the same)

    Hope it can help!

  3. Hi, have you got the latest version of Wavepad v1.11? If not, download it and go to File->Open File. Click on the pull down list "Files of type" to see the list of all file types that WavePad can support.

After 14 days trial, you will not be able to save file as .flac, .aac, m4a.

  4. Hi, you can record up to 4 hours. A number of professional tools for WavePad are only permanently available for WavePad if you have purchased an upgrade to WavePad Master's Edition. These features include the batch file processor, keyboard macros, advanced frequency window, projects, bookmarks, regions and the region assembler.
