    Making Wavepad the default MP3 player

    Hi,

     

    How did you set WavePad as the default player? You can try one of these methods:

     

    ~ By WavePad, use "Use Wavepad by default to open these files." in Settings->General page.

     

    ~ by Windows Explorer, right click on the file and select Open With -> Choose Program and select WavePad as the default program.

     

    You should be able to do this for both free and paid version

     

     

    I have tried to make Wavepad my default mp3 player but I have hit two problems

     

    1.  The free version will not work, but that is not a problem - pay for the upgrade.

     

    2.  The right click menu does not show Wavepad as the default player, so double-clicking a file does not load Wavepad.

     

    Any suggestions please.

    saving effects?

    The waveform may be changed if you use the Save As option and save as a different format.

     

    Started using the free version of wavepad, love it!!  But have a question:  when I add effects and normalization to a file, then save it, are the effects and normalization saved?  The wave form, when opened later, does not look as expansive as it does when normalized initially, so I'm not sure if it's being saved with it.  Thanks for any help!

    How long is your file? Also please give more details about the save format settings you selected?

     

    Whenever I finish editing audio, which can sometimes be after a very long period of time, I'll go to save it and wave pad will freeze up. Just wavepad, not my computer. Any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate it

    Amplification since the upgrade

    You should be entitled to free upgrade within 3 months since the purchase date. You don't need to uninstall the last version, just install the new version over it.

     

    I am having the same issue. If I download the latest version, will i not have to uninstall last version and so lose my licence on the application?

    How can I set up the latest version (if there is a latest - I bought the app in Nov) without having to pay the registration again? :huh:

    Donwload and install WavePad from our website at nch.com.au/wavepad. Which version of WavePad did you purchase? Depends on the version of WavePad that you purchased, the registration may not be accepted by the latest version of WavePad. In that case, please send your registration details to nch@nch.com.au and we will update the key for you.

    Hello,

     

    RecordPad is only available for trial for 14 days. After that, you are required to purchase it. There is no free version of RecordPad.

     

    If you download the free versions of WavePad and Switch, you can try all features of WavePad and Switch for 14 days. After that, all the plus features will be disabled but you are still be able to use the basic features.

     

     

    Ok I got Recordpad, and it works great for turning my midi's into mp3. Te only problem is that after a certain number of days, it said I needed to register it. For some reason, my wavepad and switch still work. I think what i did was download the full version of recordpad, which is supposed to stop working after the certain # of days. Is there a demo version of Recordpad that keeps working for free, even if it doesnt have all the features?

    The latest version of WavePad 2.10 does support command line to load a file. Please download this version from our website and look at the Help file for more info.

     

    Please also note that this feature is one of the Master's Edition features. That means you will need to register the software in order to use it after the trial period.

    Which version of WavePad are you using and are you logged in as PC Administrator? Perhaps you should install the latest version from our website again.

     

    Can anyone give me a clue about why I can't get any visual representation of the file playing like in the screenshots I saw before I downloaded the program? It's pretty near impossible to edit an mp3 file if I can't see the waveform!

    Unfortunately, there is no automatic option for doing this in the current version. You need to do it manually. We will take this into consideration for future release.

     

    Hi all,

     

    I was wondering if there's a way to easily do this in WavePad, or if anyone has made something that can do it automatically.  For a certain WAV file, I want to get the first 1 second and save that as a separate file.  Then I want to take the first 2 seconds and save that as a separate file. And so on through out the track.

     

    This is NOT the same as breaking up a large track into sections.

     

    Then I'd like to do this for all the files in a directory.

     

    Trying to do this manually is a pain in the rear, to put it mildly.

     

    Any help appreciated.

    Amplification since the upgrade

    Please upgrade to the latest version.

     

    I purchased yr software on 9/26/05 and payed for the Silver support. I have written before and still have not gotten an answer.  I am hoping that it was just an oversight and not your normal customer support.  Since I have upgraded to this version from the previous, my "effects"  "Amplify" doesnt work for sections of the files.

    can somebody help me? i took a song and i used the effects menu to change the speed of the song, but now there is this robotic voice on the background.  If anyone can help me, email me to tim_skold999@yahoo.com. ill appreciate any kind of help. thank you

    Recordpad doesn't record

    Have you tried with different input channels in the Settings->Record page? How does your window look like when you click Record?

     

    Hello,

     

    I have went to the web page and tried all the solutions to make this recorder record.  I am working on a Dell latitude laptop and my sound card is a Crystal WDM Audio sound card.  I have tried to update the driver but was told that the ones I have are fine.  I am running Windows XP. Before I purchase the product, i would like for it to work on my system.  It just isn't working.

    Two seperate files mixing together

    Have you tried the option Edit->Mix File?

     

    I am a Newbi.   

     

    I need to record a voice file and a music file  seperately,  and then mix them

    together with the WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition. I am creating a training CD or DVD, for my real estate consulting class. The music file will serve as background music for the voice - over. How do I go about doing that? :unsure:
