  1. Tough to say without seeing the file. Share it. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, right-click the link and Share. Copy the result and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view. What version of Videopad is being used?
  2. You put in lots of work into that project. It takes time to fully cache. Be patient. Proxy editing, a common practice, is worth a study... See... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26563-proxy-editing/ There's no need for 4K on files 1550 and 1556. Suggest that the finals of those be reduced to HD. My guess is that the 1550 is causing the most issues. When replaced with a downconverted HD mp4 things went much better. There are some editing errors... Flash frame/s at approximately 14:505 Black gap at 1:23.135 4:03.662, a very short clip, possible error Gap at 4:19.811 Gap at 1:45.127 And a few others in the way effects were ordered. If the reverse at about 16:00 freezes, pre-produce the reverse. Then drop in the new clip in normal mode. Add the efx. Using Pan & Zoom and Zoom or duplicate effects within the same clip may cause problems. As an alternative of pan and zoom, try instead animating the Zoom effect. The fonts need to be smaller to fit the screen. Also, use as few tracks as possible. Some small clips can be placed on existing tracks where there's a gap. VP is non-destructive: changes made in Videopad won't affect the original files. Check your PM for the revised project that incorporates the above changes and the HD export. (The result may not precisely match your efx but you can tweak.) Use the 64-bit version of the program... https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/videopadsetup64.exe
  3. Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. Right-click the file and click SHARE. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. You replied to a 2018 posting, so a new topic has been started. This is not a Tricaster forum. If you are attempting a direct upload from Videopad to YT, try logging out first on the YT export screen. Then log back in at the Google prompt. If this fails, export your project as a video file, then use YT's own uploader... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
  5. If adjacent clips don't show the X, expand the timeline with the slider at the bottom-right of the Window. They should show up.
  6. You can also try downloading and installing the latest 32-bit release https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vppsetup.exe. Crashing can be due to issues with the video adapter. Go to the Intel site and download/install the latest driver. Another thing to try... go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab and at the bottom GPU area click the caret to the right of the word "default." Change the default to None (CPU Only). Click to enlarge. If you back up your project nothing will be lost. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. The VPJ is an instruction file that tells the program what to do. Uninstalling (which isn't necessary) and over-installing another release won't affect the VPJ or any files. When a project is shared, per the above instructions, it contains the VPJ and all source files. Uploading only the VPJ is of no help. If your project is large - say more than 5G - first save it, then delete some sections, leaving only a smaller portion that demonstrates the issue. Upload and share that. Be sure that the server has enough free space to accept the upload. Sharing lets others try to replicate the problem, and then give you hints on how to fix it.
  7. Thanks. Now please share the project. What processor? What video card or adapter?
  8. Please list your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/available RAM. Close Videopad. Then, before reloading the project, restart it and go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load the content. If you take a few minutes to share the project someone will check it out. That's the best way to solve issues. Follow these steps closely... 9. No sweat. Simply post to the Photopad forum.
  10. Well, VP never forces a 'buy' but they do encourage. Tested a half-dozen versions, all the way back to 8.45 and none output a transparent BG in the mp4 container. Also tested several encoders. For more info see "mp4 transparency." The .apng video files that VP exports are transparent. That they don't work with some other apps may be a limitation/configuration of those apps. What version were you running when the transparent mp4 was successful?
  11. You uploaded just the VPJ file, which is of no use. Please follow the procedure above ... the VPJ and all source files will be part of the folder to be uploaded. The .apng is indeed transparent when loaded into Videopad, assuming that's how you plan to use it. It also opens in MPC-BE, with a black background. You mentioned that this once succeeded. Where? In Videopad? If yours is a still image, just 'grab' it with a right-click on the preview window. Here's an .apng video for testing. Download it and give it a try. You should see that it works fine as an overlay in Videopad.
  12. Now it's understood. Export your CK'd video as an .apng file, which will retain the transparent background.
  13. No hint of the issue in 18.80 (64) here with a very similar PC. Try the NONE (CPU only) suggestion above. Share.
  14. Seeing no issue with CK here on Windows. The best way to track this down is to share. Otherwise, we cannot attempt to replicate what you report. Check that version #. 13.81 appears to be for a Mac. Install the latest, if you haven't already done so.
  15. Let's take a look. Share the project via the above steps. What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? "13.81" Using a Mac? You might also try this... Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED. At the bottom, in the GPU area, click the caret and choose NONE (CPU only). Click to enlarge
  16. What version of VP is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window. Try the latest. Share your project and someone will take a look. 17. Upload a short sample of the music and someone here will check it out. For recording options, click the Record tab, then the Options icon.
  18. Assuming that you are using Videopad, this FAQ may help. Sizing can be accomplished with the Scale effect, or scale in the Motion Effect.
  19. What version of VP is being used? In the POSITION effect, click the two squiggly-lined icons, to show the graph. If the line has a slope, instead of a straight horizontal line like this, right-click in the graph area and Delete All Keyframes. Click to enlarge Now program your effect. In the coming weeks, when a new 14.x release arrives, install it and the issue may be resolved. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.
  20. The only other item that comes to mind is a right-click on the icon, then choose Sounds. Right-click the USB input item, if it exists, then click Properties. Click the Levels tab. Check the Listen to this Device box, if available. This option may apply only to the mic input.
  21. Right-click the speaker icon at the bottom-right of the screen and choose Volume Mixer. If there's a slider for your capture card, move it to the far right. Report back.
  22. Try this... Load file #1. Right-click in the window and choose MIX FILE. The file manager will appear. Choose the #2 file. Or use Mixpad for more control.
  23. What, specifically, are you uncertain about? If the sequence caching ribbon below the preview window is violet in color, then the sequence is fully cached.

This page may provide answers. Videopad supports several captioning types.
  25. What version is being used? Look at the bottom-left of the Videopad window. Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert. There's no toggle. If a project has multiple video tracks, then the ribbon normally turns violet after individual tracks are cached (green lines complete). If it stays violet when small changes are made it's possible that the sequence has cached so quickly that you weren't aware of it. Click on the Sequence in the bin (top-left) and that ribbon will be gray when fully cached.
