  1. Sounds plausible. And a quick test seems to confirm that unused files don't slow export - only the time to load them.
  2. Beats me. But IMO it's wise to eliminate them, if only to speed load time. Makes for a cleaner project file.
  3. Yes, the logo is on both. If your full project is trimmed to include only footage, and all fades and unused image, video and audio files deleted, to match the test, it comes in at :18. It's likely there's no real issue here.
  4. 'Test' above was the footage alone. In the 'full' test, with all overlay tracks removed and footage left in place, export is :45. Overlays would be expected to add more time. When the footage is moved to the head, it's :20. This hints that the approximately :17 open/black area at the head - which would be unusual - must be re-encoded, slowing down export.
  5. Not likely Windows 11. If there's only a single video track, the thumbs will be considerably larger. But the above expansion tactics should provide a decent size. And you certainly can reinstall. Slight feature variations can appear, and in some installs this feature may be one of them... Untitled.mp4 Share the project and we'll see what it looks like here. It's easy, takes but a few minutes and can be private. Just follow these four steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  6. When the intro is removed, so the project begins with the footage, it comes in at about 1:01 @60fps - pretty consistent with expectations. GPU spikes at 50%. In any case, it seems pretty peppy.☺️
  7. Our times are consistent. At 30fps sequence 3 comes in at :54. Can't say what causes the discrepancy that you list ... perhaps that's just how that project is processed?
  8. Total time on the full project (sequence 3) was 1:15. H264 or 265, 14000, 60fps constant.

    Fail to Export

Next thing to try... Close Videopad. Open Windows Explorer (file manager) and delete all the files in these folders... "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" Then install this VP release. Please take a few minutes to share your project. That's the best way to track down problems. It's easy, and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 10. In recent releases this may be what you want. Options can vary from version to version. Right-click in an open area at the left of the track to see the options menu. If trans or efx icons don't show, expand the track horizontally. Drag the slider at the bottom-right of the window. Untitled.mp4
  11. One way... Select each image to be removed while holding down the <ctrl> key. Then press the <del> key. If you make a mistake, immediately press <ctrl-Z> (EDIT|UNDO) to go back, step-by-step. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.

    Fail to Export

What version is being run? Look at the bottom-left of the window. Is the 'format' field propagated - usually with mp4, by default? If not, click the caret and select it. Install the latest and see if that takes care of it. If not, report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  13. Exported 14000, H265, 1920x1080@60fps constant in :20. CPU about 21%; GPU about 40%;
  14. Overall export timing seems to be key in this discussion. The above AVC to HEVC test utilized about 4% CPU, but 95% GPU and was lightning fast. Your recent drag/drop project when exported @60fps constant, 28000 to 4K HEVC took :36. CPU/GPU varied throughout.
  15. Two 4K identical (but for the encoding) :31 files, 30fps. Project adds saturation, zoom and temperature efx. Export @30fps, default quality... AVC source to HEVC (H265): GPU 90+ :11 (AVC to AVC is about the same) HEVC source to HEVC: GPU 15+ 2:35 (HEVC to AVC is about the same) Version 13.21. Expect improvements. If speed is the issue, shoot AVC source content if possible.
  16. Already done. Intermittent. Seems to have begun with v13.16 but since it doesn't happen on sequence 1 it wasn't noticed on the bulk of projects that have but a single sequence.
  17. Reproduced here at the outset. But after a few reinstalls, all was good. Spooky!
  18. Working normally here in the current 64-bit release. Tested 10 drag/drops to two sequences.
  19. Our windows are the same. The default file size is often best, but the choice is yours. The lower the quality, the smaller the file. Click the caret to the right of Lossless Export. Leave it set to Auto Detect, to let VP decide whether Lossless is possible, or Off (re-encode) to force re-encoding, which will take longer to export. If a new version is over-installed (no need to uninstall), the recent projects list should be intact. It's always there.
  20. Are you aware that, on some clips, there's a right-click EDIT IN WAVEPAD option? Clicking on it launches WP. When finished, click on the red X at the top-right. The tweaked file is in the timeline...but may require repositioning and deletion of the original.
  21. My (and other more sensitive) ears tell me that the audio levels on your project are the same in 13.20 and 13.09. No clipping heard. But the waveform and meters are different. That could change in the future. 13.09 on top, 13.20 on the bottom. 13.09.mp4 13.20.mp4 When these files are opened in Wavepad, the waveforms are the same.
  22. Yes, VP handles some processes more readily than apps targeted to the higher-end market. For the home user, complex isn't necessarily better. As for CUDA and H265, it will be interesting to see what's in store. Improvement is constant, but not without an occasional glitch.😉
  23. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad Wavepad has a number of normalization and limiting options. Check 'em out.
  24. Here are the default options... If there is no excess video at the head or end of the clips to be transitioned, you will be prompted if Ask me has been set as the default. Move clips to overlap can be a good choice but be aware that this may throw audio that's not linked to video out of sync. If Generate freeze frames is chosen, then halfway through the transition the FROM clip will freeze and the TO clip will UNfreeze, with no sync loss.
  25. Rumor has it to expect good things re H265 (HEVC) ... in time.
