  1. Last time all files were in the zipped package; this time only the VPJ control file and the WAV were. Have the project on the timeline. Go to Menu | FILE | Save Portable Project As. Upload the numbered folder that results.
  2. Two missing video files... Please upload them.
  3. Sticks here ... if the same release is reinstalled.
  4. Install this release. If the problem persists come back here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  5. Every new install has "default" as the option here, whether 32- or 64-bit. Yet, a changed setting appears to be retained if the same version is reinstalled.
  6. A recent thread elicited this response... "Video processing is computational intensive. We do intend to reach 100% usage of both CPU and GPU to maximize performance when necessary computation need to be done. We aware of overheating issue on some older CPUs but we do not want to compromise performance which we think it's more important and apply to every user. If overhearing become an issue, I think you should shutdown the machine and let it cool down for a while." 7. It's a learning curve, and you will get the hang of it. If the other songs are similar, just follow the same procedure. Folks here are helpful; save your $$.😊 1. Place the scratch audio A/V clip on the timeline. 2. Place the audio WAV on the timeline. 3. Right-click on an audio track and Sync Audio. As scratch audio isn't needed, mute it. Click the speaker icon at the left of the track. If you will use only the wide shot video scratch clip, then it's not necessary to load the no sound video. Just add effects and fades, if desired, Check out blending and color effects. For that camera, Auto Fix and Color Curves look most promising... Just be sure to SAVE AS at each step, as instructed earlier. If you make a mistake, click <ctrl-Z> to go back, step-by-step. (Same as EDIT | UNDO) If you do want the no sound video, place the clip on track 2. Drag left or right to sync with audio. This may require splitting out content ahead of the song start point and deleting it, in order to drag the track to the left. For precision, expand the timeline with the slider at the bottom-right... Remember, higher tracks take precedence, so that's the track you will see if you don't use the multi-cam feature, or split and delete parts of track 2, per the above. Next time, try to record audio on both cams. That makes syncing a breeze.
  8. Place the scratch audio/video clip on the timeline. Audio will go to audio track 1. Place the WAV audio on audio track 2. Right-click either audio track and SYNC AUDIO. Mute the scratch track as it won't be needed. Drag the cursor to the start point and click the split button, then the red [ icon. Do the same at the end with the blue ] icon. Add the no sound video file on video track 2 (an overlay) and manually edit/position it to sync up. This will take some doing as there's no audio. Higher tracks take precedence over lower tracks, so only the overlay track will be seen unless the multi-cam mode is used to switch between tracks. Experiment. That mode is available via a right-click in the preview window. Then click Preview Mode | Multicam Mode. Transitions between cams can be programmed by clicking the X at the switch points. Alternatively, simply split out and delete portions of track 2 where you want track 1 to be seen. Click the caret to the right of the SPLIT button to select a track. Or...keep it simple and stick with a single track. Don't even load the no sound video clip. The AUTO FIX effect was added to both video clips. Additionally, COLOR CURVES were adjusted individually for each channel (RGB) on the "no sound" clip. The cams are very different, but juggling various effects may further improve upon what you see here. Important: At each step Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. After saving, it's wise to reload the saved project just to be certain that there's no corruption in the VPJ instruction file.
  9. Restrictions on the free servers vary. Google Drive limits it to 15GB total usage for all their services, including gMail. If your project is more than 5GB, you might excise a portion of it and upload what's left, which may still demonstrate the problem. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  10. If it's working well for you, stick with it. Even if unlicensed, newer releases can always be test driven, and will be full-featured during the trial period. The latest 64-bit release is here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  11. Good info. But, once again, the path to analysis and a fix is to share the project. This can be private via a Personal Message to me. Click the envelope at the top-right of this forum. Here's a beta release you can try. Or reinstall an earlier release from here. Ignore any virus warnings.
  12. Let's take a look at the project, per the instructions above. That's the best way to get a handle on issues. If source files are very high-def, lengthy, or H265 (HEVC) encoded, consider Proxy Editing, as described in the 'sticky' post above. This common NLE practice uses smaller files during editing, substantially freeing up resources and cache load. When editing is complete, the original files are substituted, if necessary. A lower export resolution, say HD 1080, might save time and look very good on PC monitors.
  13. Right-click on either the video or audio track and UNlink. Then drag the track that's early to the right until it matches up with the other. Untitled.mp4
  14. Three thoughts... What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Install this release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Share a project where you see this usage and someone will compare it with their system. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  15. Try changing the export resolution. Normally, it closely matches the source. If that doesn't help, please share the project and someone will come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 16. With repeated installs minor features can change, ostensibly to gauge their relative usage. Most folks likely install only once. Voice your concerns here.
  17. Templates are pre-programmed VP projects. Nothing directly to do with YT uploads.
  18. This can also be accomplished via Options => Disk tab --> Clear Unused Cache Files. It's wise to do this before starting a new project, but it can be implemented at any time.
  19. Share your project. Someone will take a look. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... 20. Click the Sequences tab - above the bin - then right-click on the sequence and Save Sequence Audio as New File. That will be a WAV file, stored in the PC Music folder. If there is no Sequences tab, add a new blank sequence by clicking the + sign on the sequence tab that's just above the timeline. Import it to WavePad, then experiment will the many different effects the program has to offer. Once done, SAVE, then add the file to VidePad, and mute the original track.
  21. Test the latest release. Even if unlicensed, it will be fully usable for the trial period. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Take a screenshot with the attempted settings visible in the capture window. Upload it to a free server, get a shared (public) link and post it here. If using Google Drive, change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  22. What version of Videopad is being used? Look at the left-bottom of the window. Go into OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab. At the bottom, in the GPU processor section... click the caret at the right of "default" and change it to NONE (CPU only). Let us know if that helps.
  23. Share a voice track and someone here may play with it. Of course, their idea of "more pleasing" may not match yours.🙂 Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  24. In the process of continuous improvement, perhaps this prospective feature didn't make the cut. In that case, reinstalling won't help. NCH advises not to edit sVAR, as this may skew marketing results. If a user isn't careful, registry changes can compromise Windows operation. In recent versions, the SuperRes entry may no longer exist, which would explain why repeated installs fail to resurrect it.
  25. This is essentially a function of microphone settings in Windows. Open Control Panel and review the settings... Of course, adjustments and effects such as EQ can be applied to Videopad narration clips.
