  1. Background on track 1. Insert on track 2. Use the Picture-In-Picture effect. Try a preset from the drop-down menu, adjust the sliders, or drag the preview image. POSITION or MOTION effects can achieve the same result. The insert must be smaller (the boy) than the background (girl in front of bars), of course.
  2. Your system seems capable. What version of Videopad is being used (look at the bottom-left of the window) and what is the PC's GPU (graphics) adapter? Try this... Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED (or EDITING in older versions) and in the bottom GPU area change default to None (CPU only). Any better? Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. And for protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  3. If you're using the current 64-bit version, export speed should be good. But all depends upon length, complexity, nature of the project files and encoder. If you share the project, we'll run a speed comparison here. List your export settings. The sharing process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. Same. NCH bell sound in 13.09... Share the file that you tested.
  5. Doesn't seem to in 13.14, using an NCH bell sound... Original load... Reload...
  6. Not seeing level change or clipping upon project reload in 13.14... Original load... Reload... But the zoom issue is evident. Work in progress.
  7. See what 13.14 does for you. 32-bit, with the usual beta caveats.
  8. Looks as if this is fixed in the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  9. Ran a test with a bell from the NCH library. Sure enough, simply reloading a saved project bumps up the audio. No need to clear the screen.
  10. Suggest not using 13.12 as some audio issues are being addressed. Cannot replicate your results here in 13.11, following what seems to be the same procedure... buzz.mp4
  11. Can't spot the problem here. With "automatically normalize..." enabled for the initial save, each subsequent load of the project doesn't change the audio levels. However, if an exported project is reloaded, then audio will bump up if "auto" isn't disabled. May require cache to be cleared as well. Reloading of an exported file isn't often needed. Still, audio that's once been normalized probably shouldn't be normalized again. https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html?software=VideoPad
  12. What version of Videopad (look at the bottom-left of the screen)? What's the format of the file? Share, and someone here will check it out. Upload to a free server, like MS OneDrive or Google Drive, get a shared (public) link and post that link here. If using Google, be sure to change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Preview isn't full resolution, except when the window is maximized. Drag the cursor. Export WILL be full resolution.
  13. Wild. What is the format of those videos? First thing ... install the latest release. Please report back.
  14. Apply the POSITION effect, then program keyframes for the desired motion trajectory. In the preview window, drag the image to the left until it's off screen. Click the small green + sign to set the first keyframe. Now drag the red cursor to the middle of the graph. Drag the image to the center of the preview window. That should set the second keyframe. For more on animating, see http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win64bitpaid/effects_animating.html Untitled.mp4
  15. Clip names are never exported, unless they are an actual part of an image or video. Please share a link to the clip. Upload it to a free server, such as MS OneDrive or Google Drive. Get a shared (public) link and post that link here. If using Google change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." A screen grab, shared the same way, might also be helpful.
  16. Test different quality settings... Pass your issue along to the company... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
  17. Same in 13.09, when reloading a saved project. But, if the exported result is loaded the audio bumps up. That's probably not right, as it's already been normalized. Seen in earlier versions as well. Unchecking the "auto normalize" box in OPTIONS | MEDIA should overcome it. Reported.

    No sound

Right-click the speaker icon at the right of the taskbar and Open Volume Mixer. Confirm that the Videopad slider is not muted or too low. Please install the latest release and report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  19. Not seen here in 13.11. Loaded a file, saved it, loaded the same project again and again. Level stayed the same. Upload and share the file in question, please.
  20. Be sure either default or your graphics adapter is turned on, under OPTIONS | ADVANCED. 13.11 is utilizing high GPU on import of AVC files. 13.12 isn't available as of this writing, even though the beta site lists it. A :31 AVC 4K file import takes 7-8 seconds in both (32-bit) 13.11 and 10.43... Load_test.mp4 Share your project, and we'll take a look.
  21. How does it do if the built-in Intel GPU alone is chosen - if that's an option? Is there a choice in the PC's BIOS to select one or the other? Please try the latest release. Your links have content now. Images cannot be posted, but links to them can. See https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-get-help-how-to-share-a-screenshot-or-project/#comment-56046.
  22. Install the current release. Your links appear to be inactive (404). If that doesn't help, go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and at the bottom change the GPU Processor from default to None (CPU only). Still no joy? Share the project and someone will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 23. The unused mp4_17 file is ten-hours long, and would take ages to cache. That's the hang up. When it was removed, all went well. The revised project folder is linked for download in our Personal Messages folder. And thanks for sharing.
