  1. Test NONE (CPU only) and report back. Your PC is capable. If you share the project the problem can likely pinpointed. Without it, there's little more to offer.
  2. Is this after you changed the GPU setting to NONE? Would export fail if that wasn't done? List the specs of the PC please, and share the project for analysis.
  3. You tried None/CPU only, under OPTIONS | ADVANCED | GPU? What are your PC's specs - CPU/GPU/RAM? Share the project, as instructed above. We'll check it out. This can be private.
  4. Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. So others can analyze your project, please share it. Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  5. When making a split on a lengthy project it would be normal to expand the timeline horizontally. Otherwise, the split wouldn't take place at the intended spot. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected. Backing up the project and sharing, as instructed above, won't mess up the project, but will let others test the issue you are having. Knowing what release was used earlier isn't important. If it was purchased, your receipt will likely list it. You can try old versions by downloaded from the site that Dangerfreak linked above. Ignore any virus warnings.
  6. Loaded and exported normally once again, using several Videopad releases.. Last ditch thing to try... Use this free tool to delete most traces of Videopad. Say yes to scanning and deleting all registry entries as well. Then install the current release. If that fails, and there aren't a ton of files, upload the 'bad' ones and we'll re-encode them, to see whether that will allow them to load.
  7. Per a personal message from 'mnhomelender', solved with the install of the current release.
  8. Have to don my glasses early in the morn. Misread the file info. It's actually 1.1GB when exported losslessly (AVC) and 228MB when re-encoded (HEVC). Both load and play fine in v13.21. While your original did load in the 10x series, re-encoding was extremely slow - a hint perhaps that something isn't kosher with that file?
  9. What Videopad version is being used? Look at the bottom-right corner of the window. Install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Upload and share your project, per the instructions above. Someone will check it out and come up with a solution.
  10. Since the issue can't be replicated here, it's tough to diagnose. Some things to try... 1. Install this release. 2. Upload and share a file or two that has the 'file' designation - that won't open in Videopad. We'll take a closer look. Check back with your findings.
  11. Are the audio files mp3s? Explain a bit more about what tracks or files are not synchronizing. Let's take a look at your project, to analyze what's going on. The process is easy, takes but a few minutes and can be private. Just follow these steps... 12. It's a mystery. You can see how clean it is above - with a grab from the full-screen window.
  13. If the files have the mp4 extension, they should open in VP. And they do, if they're among the files included in your linked project that loaded fine here. What version of VP is being used - look at the bottom-left corner of the window? You installed the latest?
  14. Try the other GPU selections, under OPTIONS | ADVANCED. Be sure to restart VP after making a change.
  15. Can't replicate that in version 13.21, using a :12 music cut from the PC's library. Upload your audio clip. The project should have been cached as needed. Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Untitled.mp4
  16. Which template? What music? Upload the music file and share it. Someone will check it out. It's easy, just follow these instructions... Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  17. The path is "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" The "PC name" refers to your name, or the name you have given the PC. If you don't see AppData, type "File Folder Options" into the Windows search box (bottom-left). You should get this. Check the boxes that you see here. Then AppData should show up under your PC name, and you can click your way down the tree to Components. After deleting these files, reinstall Videopad, which will recreate them. If that doesn't work check in here again.
  18. Thanks for sharing. Can't replicate the problem with the latest release. Try it. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  19. Here's the next thing... Right-click the VP file that launches the program and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. If no change, try this... Close Videopad. In Windows Explorer (the file manager) delete all files in these two folders. Then reinstall the latest VP version. "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or the path without the x86) "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Let us know.
  20. Thanks for sharing. Loads normally in just seconds here, using the latest release. Install it and report back. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  21. You might ADD TEXT | SIMPLE TEXT OVERLAYs, breaking up individual clips to match the vocal. The default length is 3:00, but the edges of each clip can be dragged to any desired length. As for 'lighting up' - an animation tool might do it? https://nch.invisionzone.com/forum/178-expressanimate/
  22. CROP doesn't have much to do with speed. Here's the initial Change Clip Speed dialog for a :30 clip... Change the Duration here - in this case to :15 - and the speed will track... Similarly, when a clip is sized on the timeline, the Speed percentage that you have entered in the Speed Change box will change accordingly. Perhaps not precisely what you want, but something to be aware of. Click the caret at the top-right of the VP window and make a suggestion.
  23. Please share a file or two that has the issue. Someone will check it out.
  24. Yes, VOB files won't export losslessly, but the effects should work normally. They do here. Please share the file and someone will check it out.
