  1. First thing, check the PC's audio controls, while Videopad is running. Click the speaker icon at the bottom-right of the window, choose Volume Mixer and maximize ALL the volume sliders. It's possible that the one for Videopad is lower than the player's volume that's used for the exported file. For example, this would be the Windows 11 display...
  2. Select all clips (<ctrl-A>). Right-click on one and...
  3. Surprised that preview even displayed the logo-less file, as that wasn't the case here when tested in version 10.18. VD plugins work only with 32-bit Videopad versions, it's been learned. However, there's no guarantee that all VD plugins will work in VP. Some do, some don't. And the logo remover appears to be one of the latter. Use this on-line tool.
  4. Is the freeze seen on timeline preview play or only upon export? What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? What is the format of the bulk of the source files and what's the length of the project? Is the 32-or 64-bit release installed? Here's the 64, which is recommended for complex high-def work.
  5. Wavepad can easily convert the sample rate. See http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/wavepad/win/convert.html
  6. What version of Videopad is being used? Install this one and report back. If no change, please share the logo-less file and someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  7. Install the release linked above. By ear, the audio may not actually be clipping, despite the waveform display. That's been noted here in version 13.21. Clear Unused Cache Files prior to loading the project and see if that brings back the waveform.
  8. Been seen on occasion in that build. Restart VP and don't load the project, then Go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Now load the project. Or use this release for now. Ignore any virus warning. Report back. Of course, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That's your protection.
  9. Don't forget to routinely SAVE AS. Then you're protected.
  10. With a project on the timeline, click the 3-lined menu, top left, then FILE | SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS... This will back up all source files and the VPJ control file to the target folder you choose on the hard drive. Later, click the VPJ and the project will re-load. For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.

    Volume for mp3s

Too loud? Same procedure in Videopad as described above. Select the files on the timeline, click FX to adjust amplify effect, click the icon in the toolbar to apply to all. (Icon art may be as above.) No batching. No need to reopen the effects window. At the end of the video below note the verification that all selected clips reflect the new volume setting. Volume for mp3s

What version of Videopad is being used? Try this one and see if the issue persists. Ignore any virus warnings. One method in VP... Select all the overdriven mp3s, then click the FX icon on one of them. Choose Amplify, make the change, and close the box. Click on the FX of the clip that was changed and in the tool menu click the left FX button... The change that you made will be applied to all selected clips. -0- Wavepad can do batch conversion for mp3s. Open the 3-lined Menu, then TOOLS | Batch Converter. Add the files. In step 2, click on ADD EFFECT. Scroll down and choose Amplify. Or try Normalize. Then use the converted files in Videopad. For more info on Wavepad, check into the forum.
  13. An apparent bug. Report it here.
  14. With of a file of that size, it's likely that it simply took that long. In the future, quicker results may be had by employing the solutions mentioned above: proxies, converting to reduced resolution, or perhaps splitting the project. Glad it worked out.
  15. Odd. That's where it resides, and was installed with VP. Never has it reinstalled or made dupes here. You might delete all files in that folder (with VP closed), reboot, then install the latest, as a test to see whether the file is propagated to the correct folder.
  16. Storyboard will display only the clip that is on track 1. In this case that's your mp4. No individual clips in either mode, until you split the single mp4 clip, add efx, etc. There will be no captions list, because all the video and audio is embedded in that single, composited clip. Just as in the above Storyboard screen grabs, the top is s single mp4. The second is that clip split into three sections. Editing would be like any other clip.
  17. Most any editor would choke on a file that large, IMO. That's where Proxy editing comes in handy. Use the 64-bit version of 12.05 or a later release that falls within your licensing period. They're all here.
  18. No, don't concede that. First of all, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. You might run the 50 gig file through a converter, like Prism, to reduce the resolution/file size. Then open the project, right-click the 50GB file in the bin (top-left) and Replace File with the smaller one. Prism also has options to split and compress, so some experimentation may be necessary. Try an HD 720 or 1080 mp4. Perhaps then you will be able to export in less than 24 hours. In the future with huge files, consider breaking up the project and/or reducing resolution.
  19. As the shots aren't identical it's a tough call. To my eyes, the Sony looks brighter, more saturated. That said, the batter/butter highlights look to be slightly blown out and should be adjusted at the camera. Once detail is lost, it's gone. While the phone is more nuanced, its overall image seems a bit 'cool.' Strictly my opinion; others may disagree.
  20. It's a bet that your server can't handle that 50GB. Even if there's space, it could take 'forever.' No doubt its size is the issue, in both VP and when compressing. Not being able to see the file here, consider splitting the file into 5GB (or so) chunks, edit, then export each separately. Later, assemble those exports. Perhaps better still would be to reduce the resolution of the MKV to a more manageable state. Depending upon your needs, huge files/very high definition may not be necessary. This 'sticky' post, from the top of the forum, has tips on that. A decent working resolution would be 1920x1080 HD. Let us know how it goes.
  21. Preferable, but no. It sounds as if those are large, high-def files. Is there room on the server to upload them all as is? Again, what's the format of the bulk of the files and how long is the project?
  22. If it balks at step 1 - BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO A FOLDER - it's a hint that something may be amiss with the project. Here's an alternative, if the source files are all in a single folder on the PC - which would be typical... In that folder there should also be a VPJ file, if the project has been backed up. (In Videopad, Menu | File | SAVE PROJECT FILE AS). Go to the PC folder containing these files and zip the folder. Or select all the files in the folder (<ctrl-A>), right-click on any one of them and SEND TO | COMPRESSED (zipped) FOLDER. Upload the resulting file with a .zip extension and share as instructed above. How lengthy is the project and what is the format and resolution of the bulk of the files?
  23. Yes, the first step is necessary, which will back up all source files, along with the VPJ instruction file. Normally takes less than a minute. Uploading to the server will take time - dependent upon your hardware and net connection.
  24. If it takes more than a minute or two it's hung. Please share the edited project so it can be analyzed. It's the best way to rectify a problem. Takes just minutes, it's not difficult, and can be private. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  25. Your PC's specs are more than capable. What Videopad version is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the VP window. Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. You should not be prompted to upgrade. That never happens here. What's the format of the bulk of the files for your project, and what encoding are they - AVC (H264) or HEVC (H265)? If you take a few minutes to share, someone here will run your project to compare performance. It's easy to do and can be private. Follow these steps...
