  1. As I was attempting the suggested fix, the problem seemed to somehow resolve itself. After roughly 4 hours, the video file processed, and I was able to complete the project. I don't know what changed, but perhaps it was one of the prior fixes repaired something. Regardless, thank you for your help.
  2. Alright, I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes
  3. Does that mean the current project is a lost cause? Because the original source video for the current vpj project is the 50 gig one.
  4. It's just one 50 GB MKV file and a couple of small, KB sized files. Its compressing, just incredibly slowly, so it may take a day or two.
  5. The source video for the project has taken 2 hours to move to a file and compress, but compression doesn't seem to be working. Is compression necessary?
  6. My file has been backing up for over 40 minutes, which seems abnormal. What should I do?
  7. Is backing up necessary? It seems to be taking a considerable amount of time longer than expected.
  8. Attempted both fixes, neither worked for the project in question, though updating to v 13.21 did seem to allow the original, un-edited version of the project to process. Unfortunately, the edited version sat for 8 hours while I slept without processing.
  9. I'm trying to edit a video with audio attached, but Videopad keeps telling me "sound clips processing ... please wait." I can't hear anything, I can see the video just fine, and I can't export or convert the file because of the processing audio (which has been processing roughly 6 hours in all). I've had this problem before on an entirely different project and, as with last time, I have no idea what to do and it's quite debilitating, seeing as my only current option is to start from the beginning. I purchased the Master Edition over a year ago, so I can't update my current version without paying for it. I'm on version 12.05 Professional. I'm running Windows 11, Version 10.0.22621, 16 GB RAM, 64-bit operating system. If anyone could also let me know how to prevent this in the future, that would help. I've tried to prevent this by making multiple saves, clearing my cache often, and even cutting larger projects into smaller portions, but the problem seems to be with Videopad reading the video file, as the problem persists across all different saves of the project, my cache is clear, and cutting the project into 10 minute chunks didn't help at all. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, I''l provide what I can to streamline the process.
  10. Okay, I made sure the volume settings were in order, restarted the application, and now everything is working perfectly well: no slow start-up, no indefinite processing, and the volume plays as expected. To that end, I want to sincerely thank you for your help and patience with this problem. Without your help, I don't know what I would've done, so I'm glad you were able and willing to help me despite the difficulty of the issue and my time constraints. You've been immensely helpful and I don't think I could have recovered this 3-month project without you, so thank you!
  11. So the files processed to completion, but I still can't hear any sound clips (audio on PC working fine, did other tests). I'm currently exporting it with no issue, but I did want to apprise you of the situation. There is some improvement in that the audio is no longer indefinitely processing, but the problem is not quite fixed in that I still don't hear anything.
  12. A ~3 GB zip file containing an .mkv video file, an .mp4 audio file, and 2 .jpg picture files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yvH93cQ-hqcL4Z8TWV1eJ_i-wt3m6TFI/view?usp=sharing
  13. Though it isn't pertinent to the last set of instructions, I would like to let you know that, upon loading up a different project today, the project's audio worked, meaning now the problem seems to be secluded to this one project as opposed to the previous case where it affected all projects. This leads me to believe the problem is with the audio files or project file themselves, as this is also the case when opening the project on a different device. Would you like me to attempt to back up the files to the folder as mentioned prior, or does that information change anything?
  14. I have backed up the project files, though I couldn't find the "Back Up Portable Project" option specifically, just "Save As Portable Project" and Back Up Project" (although the back up is still in progress). Portion of Project zipped file folder (VPJ not included, however I have already linked the VPJ file so that should be fine): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yvH93cQ-hqcL4Z8TWV1eJ_i-wt3m6TFI/view?usp=sharing The most recent version I downloaded from the link you provided was v10.96, though that had some issues, so I switched back to 12.00, the best one so far in terms of performance. Nothing has worked 100% properly since I updated from v11.73 to v12.00 though if that might have some relevance.
  15. I am unable to export in portions as planned because sound clip files cannot finish processing. This applies to all VideoPad projects, not just the current one, and it is regardless of the project byte size. Would it be okay to simply link an unzipped file? For whatever reason, the file doesn't appear to be zipping, loading indefinitely. edit: the project not loading is a negligible issue that can be dealt with using patience.
