  1. Rumor has it that this has been repaired - in the next release. Chances are that the devs weren't aware of the issue until it was recently brought to their attention.
  2. Caching should complete without the need to click each clip, but it can take time. Especially on lengthy, complex projects, use the 64-bit latest release. Many changes have been implemented 'under the hood.'
  3. Unaware of simple options to auto-split at silences or export multiple clips. Multiple sequences, yes. This may be about as close as it gets. Once the sequences are programmed and Export All invoked, a macro can repeatedly press the Create button. Export_all.mp4 Try a Net search for an app with those capabilities, and file a VideoPad suggestion. The control file for VideoPad is the VPJ file, which can be examined in Notepad.
  4. Odd. Install this release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If this issue persists, please share the project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  5. Click the start point on the timeline. Hold <shift> and click the end point. Right-click the blue area and Export Selected Region. Alternatively, place the pointer on the cursor line so there's a double arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag. Record_2023_05_05_06_16_45_366.mp4 Another approach is to create each clip as a separate sequence. Then Menu | FILE | EXPORT ALL SEQUENCES can be utilized.
  6. If you want to work with a single track, complete the above then click the + to the right of the Sequence 1 tab, to create a new, blank sequence 2. Then click the SequenceS tab above the bin (top-left) and drag Sequence 1 to the timeline. Now you can ignore (but not delete) Sequence 1. This is a composite, with effects, transitions, audio embedded that can be exported independent of Sequence 1.
  7. Blank clip on track 1. Cropped video/image on track two.
  8. Yes, this link is responding. If it's been less than six-months since purchase, the code should be good for a free update and, likely, should still work on the new PC. Get in touch with the company.
  9. Rendering a :30 WMV to WBEM at VP9 at the HQ audio setting took a long time, with this result... Try other quality settings ... or export to another format, which would likely be much quicker.
  10. While editing the effect, click the VIEW icon, under the preview window, and choose Clip and Background. You might also enable dual-pane windows. Click the 3-lined Menu at the top-left, then VIEW | Show Dual Previews. In that mode, Clip preview is at the left and Sequence preview is at the right.
  11. Here's the demo project. Double click on the attachment, then UNzip it, open the unzipped folder and double-click the VPJ file to load it into Videopad. You can then examine how it was created. Bird_test.zip
  12. On track 1, use the MOTION effect parameters to size and position the calendar if necessary. The image can be dragged in the PV window. On track 2, with the red cursor at the start, use the MOTION scale parameter, along with dragging the bird, to fit it into a box. Set a keyframe with the small green +. Move the cursor to the end. Scale-up and drag the bird to fill the screen. Double-click the video below to enlarge it. Bired.mp4
  13. The task takes experimentation, and time. Perhaps this is what you have in mind... Calendar_test.mp4 For contrast, a sepia effect was added to the track 1 calendar. The original white calendar was cropped in a graphic program to show only the '12' square, which then was overlaid on VP track 2. The MOTION effect scaled and positioned the cropped square to overlay its calendar square. A keyframe was created by clicking the small green + on the toolbar. The red cursor was dragged a graph square to the right. Another keyframe was added, duplicating the first This is where motion begins. The red cursor was then dragged far right. Scale and position adjustments were made to position the '12' square to cover the entire calendar. A saturation effect was added, initially set to zero opacity. The cursor was moved to where movement begins and another transparency keyframe was set by clicking the small green + sign. This is the '12' fade-in point. The cursor was moved to the end of the clip and transparent opacity was set to 100%. Back up frequently, for protection, by using Save AS, and giving it a unique # or name, so as to not overwrite prior saves. If Save is simply clicked, it will overwrite. Without the sepia effect, and with a black border added to the bin clip prior to dropping it on the timeline, the project looks like this. Calendar_white.mp4
  14. So others can see your link, grant access. Or change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."

There is no provision for changing UI font sizes. However, equalizer settings can be represented visually...
  17. --- resolved via a PM --- It's likely that neither the file nor VP is at fault. The viewer apparently handles the file differently than Videopad. Load the clip into the bin. If not prompted for a stream, right-click it and Select Stream. Again load the same clip into the bin and select another stream. Drop it onto the overlay track, immediately above the first clip. Hide one of the video tracks. Or UNlink and delete it, if you'd rather not see it. If this icon isn't visible, right-click at the left of the track and make the Hide choice.... Now you have a single active video track and two audio tracks, each with its own stream. Upload and share your file and we will confirm that this works correctly in version 12.30, which it does here when tested on a multi-stream MKV file.
  18. Please check your personal messenger. Click on the envelope at the top-right of this forum.
  19. Fear not; your investment won't go to waste. Load the file. If not prompted for the stream, right-click the file in the bin and Select Stream. Then drop the file to the timeline. To load another stream, load the file once again and select the alternate stream. Overlay it on the timeline. If this doesn't solve the issue, please upload the file to a free server. Get a shared (public) link and post it here or to me in a Private Message (folder at top-right). We'll check it out. What release of VideoPad is being used?
  20. The current 64-bit release is here. The English download page is here, where the current release is available. It may be the 32- or 64-bit version. There's no mandate to update, especially if what you are using is doing well. The latest can always be test driven as a trial if unlicensed.
  21. Testing installation of several releases, most OPTIONS settings were retained, such as the Disk tab Save New Media choices. However, the Default Export Folder did not always persist. It's not clear what "fade out time" you are referring to. It would be enlightening to know which of the two suggestions that you implemented fixed the problems you listed. If you have the time, please revert each setting, in turn, and report which causes which issue: the color or the export. Thanks.
  22. Try this next... Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and at the bottom Video Processor section click the caret and choose None (CPU only). Restart Videopad. Next, in the export dialog click the blue Default Quality/Filesize link and choose Off (Re-encode Video). As for TOOLS | OPTIONS, what settings there were you attempting to save?
  23. Specially, which Videopad settings were you attempting to copy?
  24. When at the end, instead of the space bar, try the left-arrow key.
