  1. When the video clip has its audio and video linked, then moving one will move the other - to maintain sync. If that's not the case there, let's take a look at that part of the project... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. Odd. This thread, containing your suggestion, has been forwarded to NCH in your behalf.
  3. There are a number of different errors, so it's tough to say: unwanted clip snippets, gaps, jump cuts, misplaced overlays. Following the suggestions above should minimize a recurrence. There are a number of scenarios that can produce unexpected results: if a new clip is inserted into an old (not at the join with an adjacent clip) it will split the existing clip. That may not be readily apparent when the timeline is compressed. When inserting, keep a close eye on the timeline. If you make a mistake immediately press <ctrl-Z> (EDIT | UNDO) to go back, step-by-step. Or reload the most recent back up, if appropriate. Always review the exports, to be sure that embedded errors - not apparent on the timeline - aren't causing issues. That's a good reason to segment long projects, as each part can be checked.
  4. Thanks for sharing. There were a number of editing errors in the project. Most have been corrected in the revised project file linked for a short time in our PM discussion. Download it, UNzip (right-click | EXTRACT ALL), open the resulting folder and double-click the VPJ file. In the future, consider these suggestions... Use the 64-bit release for complex and lengthy projects. Load only the files that will be used. This should quicken caching as the program doesn't have to deal with superfluous content. Use grouping sparingly, and add keys (overlays) last. They can always be dragged to new positions. Or copied/deleted/pasted. <ctrl-C to copy> <ctrl-V> to paste. When inserting clips at existing split points use the ||< and >|| buttons under the preview window, to insert precisely. Even when the timeline is expanded with the slider at the bottom-right... it's easy to drop inserts at slightly the wrong spot, which can result in unwanted snippets Break up the project - perhaps into four 5-minute (or so) segments. Work on the 1st, and when everything checks out find a convenient cut point to end that part. Export. Then review the export for errors. Move on to part two, and so forth. Later, assemble the parts for the final edit. The will speed up edit re-caching. The final can be tweaked, of course. Bear in mind that gaps in track 1 may be okay if covered by overlay video. Storyboard mode displays only track 1. In any case, especially for each sub-export, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  5. Update to the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If you do not upgrade, the current version will be fully featured for a trial period. What are your PC's specs: GPU/CPU/RAM?
  6. Starting clean, the 12:41 file took 2:12 to cache, as the % incremented in the bin clip. Once cached, reload will be very quick, as long as cache hasn't been emptied. With GPU set to Default, which is a GTX 1060 card here, and 1920x1080 resolution, export via the toolbar button took thirty-seconds. Via it completed in :60. Lossless export is available only under certain conditions. Using GPU in the Advanced option settings is faster than None (CPU only). Something is definitely not kosher there. To eliminate the possibility of corrupted files, close Videopad. Then try a total uninstall with this free tool. When prompted for deleting registry entries, select them all and delete. Then install the latest VP 64-bit release. Before staring a brand new project it's wise to Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS | DISK tab.
  7. The clips took about a minute or so to cache before audio was available, owing to their length. But then both played flawlessly from start to finish, using this VP release. What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? If you don't have another machine to test, try this... Open OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab. In the bottom GPU Processor area click the caret and choose another GPU, if one is shown, or try None (CPU Only). Click to enlarge. Let us know.
  8. The form isn't broken here; responds with an immediate acknowledgement. Perhaps it doesn't work from your region in the world?? Try this link.
  9. Unable to replicate the issue, using version 13.43. After grouping three video clips on track 1 with two text clips on track 2, then inserting a still image at the head (or anywhere) on either track, text positions held. Videopad should never reorder on its own. More info would be needed to assess what's going on. Someone will be glad to check out your project if you take the time to share. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. And, for protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  10. LINKS to images can be posted here. See the 'sticky' GET HELP post above. It's unclear just what you are describing. Please follow the instructions in the same help post to share the project. It takes only minutes and can be private. Someone will check it out and come up with a solution. Install the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  11. Select the clips, then click the transition X icon on any one of them. At the bottom, expand the drop-down and Apply to Selected Clips. Click the desired transition.
  12. Can't say exactly what criteria is used to set the export frame rate, but auto detect isn't always the choice or may not even be listed. Just click the caret and change it to the desired fps. If you forget, the project won't be ruined as you can always export again. Make your concern known here. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  13. And it works for you on older releases? Better report it via the usual channels.
  14. The slider at the bottom-right expands the timeline...
  15. Something is funky. Here the scrolling is fine - first arrows, then buttons. But that the button reverse doesn't show in PV is another issue that's being looked into. Seek.mp4
  16. If you're referring to 'stuck' preview on rewind when dragging the red scrubber to the left, evident in the "test.cut video" sequence, then that's a known issue. Advance/retard frame button or arrow key action seems fine here, as shown in my above video. This probably should be a separate thread,😊
  17. Pretty much out of ideas here. You might try deleting and reinstalling the non-functioning fonts... Considering the infinite hardware/software permutations, what's the chance that a particular program will work flawlessly on each and every PC? Zilch. Here's an older VP release for testing. Ignore any virus warnings.
  18. OPTIONS is available on the HOME toolbar. If not visible click the carets at the far right.
  19. Odd indeed. What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU? Test this. Go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and in the GPU section at the bottom click the caret. In the drop-down menu choose None (CPU Only), or another GPU, if one is shown. The effect can be created with the text editor, but it's tedious.
  20. The VPJ file alone is of no use. The above project is attached. Download, UNzip and double-click the VPJ file to load it. Please do share your project. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Chalktastic.zip
  21. Users can link to images or files, just as you did. Play the above video again. Here's how that looks on the timeline (click to enlarge)... There are two typewriter overlays - one for each line. Track 2 holds for the duration; track one starts where track 2 animation ends. Try the latest release and see if results are better. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  22. One would think so. Unable to replicate your result. What VP version is being used (see bottom-left of the window)? Did you select the text prior to selecting the font? Font_test.mp4
  23. Can't replicate that in the latest beta. Tested MTS, WMV and mp4 clips in both clip and sequence modes. Share your file. Seek.mp4
  24. In some releases there's this newer effect, but it doesn't appear to be working dependably yet. Give it a try. PNG transparent arrows and circles are readily available on the net. https://tinyurl.com/2kn3d78c And check out the NCH Clip Art library. Right-click in the bin for a link to it.
