Hi When writing a Hebrew title in the 'text clip' if a comma or a dot or any anther character is needed at the end of the line it pop to appear at the beginning of the line. In order to change it I am arranging that the line at the title will be ending with a word. And that the character will be at the middle of the title. But is is funny & not professional. I am using 3.89 version and do not want to change it if not necessary. Many Thanks Sharona

Is there a way to resize the video height in order to add a header and footer block to place text that can be shown for specific periods of time? I'm not talking about putting text inside the video itself, but about adding a new header section with text above the current video, and/or adding a footer section below the video, where text can be added throughout the video. Like this...

I use a Mac and love Express Scribe but the font size in the transcription text area is sooooooo small it hurts my eyes and makes it difficult to catch mistakes and read back. I know I can zoom in on the monitor but the resulting fonts are not very crisp. Does anyone know how to change the display size for Express Scribe -- either by increasing the font size or increasing the display percentage to 200%? I should note that I have a large, high resolution monitor. I'm not sure why that functionality is nowhere to be found...at least not by me. Most other text editors have the font settings available through Preferences.

I am new to PhotoStage and would like to bulk edit the size of the photo/slide font on all photos/slides but I can't find a "change all" operation. I appreciate the help.

What exactly is the purpose/function of the Speech-To-Text function? I don't understand how this works if I have a few transcriptions and need to get through the bulk of them before revising them. Can someone please guide me on how to use the Speech-to-Text function; and if that is not its purpose. Please tell me what exactly its there for?

v5.01 If I add (centered) text where the first line is 13pt and the second line is 23pt the space between those lines can be HUGE - and there's no easy way of reducing it. I've tried adding a line in-between them of, say, 5pt or less, to get the spacing correct which appears to work in the preview. Save and reload the project and the spacing is back to the huge leading again. I'd first of all like to see this behaviour fixed so that each line just printed whatever point size has been selected (like Word) without huge spaces between lines of text. Secondly, as a feature improvement, I'd be hugely grateful in being able to create text overlays where the leading (space between lines) can be manually specified (again, like Word). It would be even better if each line of text could be moved about to get the exact placement just right - currently there is no way that I know of to get text left-aligned with, say, a 5cm margin. It's either left, or right or centred but I would like my bulleted text to be 5cm from the left margin, for instance. Anyway, enough of the wish list, any plans to fix the weird behaviour of the current text placement / leading between lines of different point sizes?

Hello, I am new here and hope this is the right place for my question. Using "Videopad editor" I'm trying to 'put' text (moving or stable) on top of a video clip. When I click the text button, a text clip is opened but the bacground is sort-of Blue-Purple - not transparent. In the video tutorial of the program it shows the text clip background is transparent. If I try to make the text clip in the program transparent, it maks also the text transparent. When I load this text clip on a second time-line the video clip is slightly coverd with Bluish 'screen'. My OS is win 10 pro. Answers will be appreciated. Thanks Motim

Something I believe is possible in Camtasia but I'm not sure, I would like to have the option to alter the background transparency in text clips and subtitles, instead of just changing the color. Without the background, the text can be hard to read when it's in an area with the same color because the shadows and outlines aren't big enough; and with the background, you end up blocking part of the video and the text looks like it was just hurled on there.

I'm using the free version of Click Charts which I've used occasionally over the past several years. I downloaded the latest version as I had not installed it since I purchased this computer a few years ago. When I opened an older chart, the text wrapping did not work correctly in that lines would wrap in the middle of a word. I tried creating a new chart thinking it might be a version issue but the same thing happened with flow chart shapes and with plain text. Any ideas?

I have my own image with an older copyright name on it and I want to replace it with my new name but can't figure out how to do it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Please use simple terms. Thanks so much for your help. bcactusl

I'm working on a collage project and am adding text. When I click on the font selection drop down menu, the Open Type font I need for this project does not appear in the list. FYI, I have licensed and successfully installed this font (Kaushan Script) and have used it in other applications. Suggestions (other than "use a different font" which is not an option on this project)? Thanks. -Harper

This one is difficult to explain. To prevent having to make text clips for every single frame, I'd like to suggest being able to make a text clip that when played, it'll work like a real-time timer. The length of the clip is when the timer should stop at, and if we set it to a real-time countdown, where it should start at, and wait for it to reach 0. It would look like this: We could also set it to 00:00.000, 0:00.000, or 0.000. And like the text clip, we could change the font, color, outlines, background, add the shadow, and align. I thought this would be cool for speedrun videos, and the problem lies in having to make clips for so many frames.

I remember downloading VideoPad a long time ago and there probably being some kind of feature for doing this.... Or maybe I just forgot how to fade in text in general. Help please? :'D -
When I use the "Add Text" feature, the dialog that pops up only allows me to control the text's position by aligning it left, right or center (horizontal) and top, bottom and middle (vertical). What if I need the text to show in a specific arbitrary position over my video - with drag and drop? Can this be done with Videopad? Thanks!

A recent Windows security update (3045171) has introduced a bug and cause VideoPad crash randomly. The bug is triggered by using text clips and subtitles. It effects Window 7 Service Pack 1 and earlier version of Windows. Microsoft has issued a fix for the problem. If you have turned on Windows Automatic Update, you can find the patch in: Control Panel->System and Security->Windows Update->Show all available updates->Optional->KB3065979. Dear All, I'm new to WavePad and like it for it's flexibility in editing single audio files, as I do a lot of interviews. The bookmark function is also easy to use and very flexible. Can you export the list of bookmarks / regions as a text file? A simple copy/paste from wavepad to a text editor doesn't seem to work, maybe some of you have ideas? what I want to do is simply print out the bookmark list on paper to prepare editing of my interviews. Help! I have videos that the scrolling text only displays 1/2 of the statement. You can see the correct version and the incorrect version here: Correct: Incorrect: In the editor all of the text is there. I used the same text clips to put in each sequence but for some reason some videos came out with the messed up text. I've been playing around with it- expanding the clip length. Trying to make the text smaller...nothing is working. Thank you!

What I'm really looking for here is advice. The context is that my goal is a DVD with three tracks. Two already exist in standard, 4:3 size. My current activity in VideoPad is the third track for this DVD. Windows and VideoPad say the source file (from a DVD) is 720 x 378 (or 40:21) but QuickTime calls it 640 x 378. When I make a DVD, it looks better in standard. All of the interest is in the center of the screen; the edges don't matter. I also don't know who will view this on a consumer DVD player and who will view it on computer. So I'd like to set it all up to be as universal as possible. The existing two have a little text at the beginning of each. But the current 10-min., 5-chapter VideoPad project will have four "title slides" (max. 60-70 char. but mostly much less) and a dozen or so subtitles in each of four chapters. And that's where the trouble starts. When I produce standard size, all the title slides need to be made smaller, but they look great in widescreen. But in *BOTH* sizes, my subtitles are cut off at the bottom. I fiddled with picture size on my widescreen TV but didn't improve upon the TV's native intelligence. All my subtitles are set at 5% size and I see that I can adjust the vertical margin. Setting it at 5 looks good on my computer screen. But I haven't gone and produced another two DVDs to check that out. Sooooooo ... I'm trying to simplify my life here. Given no idea how/where a DVD will be played (and little taste for re-working old files): 1. I'm guessing that producing 4:3 is safest. Yes? 2. What size type would you use for title slides? 3. What size should subtitles be and what would be your ideal bottom margin? 4. Or, am I worrying to much? Will the lettering and margin in a 4:3 video look about the same size (in proportion) on any kind of machine? 5. And as long as I'm at it, my subtitles are readable but look quite blurry. Any advice about sharpening them? The underlying video is not super-sharp. The title slides (larger font) look better. (The original camera files (AVI) look blurrier than file ripped from the DVD, which baffles me.) Apologies for such a long post and sincerest thanks, Jeanne

Hi - I am using clickhcharts with my students as an art annotation tool. There are a few issues we encountered when entering text inside a shape or a text box. 1. The delete button sometimes will not delete the specified entered text but will deleted letters before of after. 2. Also placing the cursor with the mouse in these shapes/text boxes has been problematic. Sometimes the cursor will appear at a random location within the shape or box. 3. When copying an pasting text from other sources sometimes all the text copied will not be pasted (a small fraction of it will). 4. There is a lag in the space bar which creates double spaces sometimes. Any ideas???

I have what I hope is a quick question. I am making a Star Wars video for a friend. I have tried a few different techniques to get the scrolling text from the beginning crawl. (Episode IV A new Hope... ect) Tried shopping an image of the text to scroll from off screen bottom to top, scaling size as it moved (Did that without motion on the Title and it worked great), but the scaling turned the text image to junk. Then I finally saw the "insert text" option (I know, to obvious right?). Now I have exactly what I want, but for one major issue. It appears that when it renders scrolling text it formats it for the screen size. So in a normal up and down you aren't rendering images off screen, which saves time. But when you rotate the text to a 3d plain it keeps that formatting, not compensating for the new deep field it should scroll into. Is there a way, even if I have to start from scratch, to either modify the field of view for the text "file" or is there some other technique I missed? Also, would love to see a Justified formatting for text some day.

I added text to a photo and saved it. Now I want to go back and modify the text. I haven't been able to find how to do that. (except to delete the layer and start over!) TIA, Phil

Hi -- apologies if this has been asked before. This a Q about the new free version of Express Scribe. Does anyone know if the text typed into Express Scribe's notes box is saved in any sort of separate text file somewhere? I have a bit of an unusual problem where a colleague was transcribing directly into the notes box (I know, I know...), completed a good chunk of work, then closed the program. Upon trying to reopen the program, the 30-day free trial had expired, and now the program is locked up, holding the completed text hostage. I know that the free "trial" version can be easily switched over the indefinitely free version (prior to the 30-day expiration), however obviously this wasn't done. The only way I can think of recovering the text at this point without upgrading to Pro is if Express Scribe holds the text in some sort of dedicated file somewhere in its depths. Does anyone know? I appreciate any help.

The tittle basically says it all. I have a habit of using a lot of text in my videos, which for some reason simply doesn't seem to work with video pad. The most extreme case I've had so far involved something like 70 individual pieces of text (added via the shiny add text button on version 3.0.2) and VideoPad simply couldn't handle it. The program kept crashing every couple of minutes while editing and simply refused to render the video. Even lesser use of text didn't turn out too well; I tried making another project with about 20 pieces of text and while it did manage to render it turns out most of my clever side comments are missing. So the question is, is there anything I can do to make this work, or am I better off finding a program that actually gets the job done? I'd rather stick with VideoPad since I find it easy to use and it has all the features I need, but just having an amazing vpj file isn't going to do me any good. EDIT: I figured out these might be needed: OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit CPU: i5-3750K 3.40GHz GPU: Radeon HD 7850 RAM: 16GB HDD space remaining: ~600GT Basically, I doubt the problem is with my computer
